  1. Hi. You don't mention whether this is Mac, Windows or mobile, but have you tried stepping back to the last public version? v10 is pretty much a skeleton so doesn't display much, but if your data still exists within Evernote (or you have a usable backup) you may find the Legacy versions are the best place to stay for a while...
  2. Another issue for Support I'd suggest - there was (apparently still is) a long history of former shared documents that were impossible to remove. Maybe in the new architecture they'll be able to kill that more quickly...
  3. Any Evernote version should do - it was a Google Assistant update that extended the options available.
  4. See Ian Small recent video - explains v10.0 released as (almost) blank slate on which to bring back old and add new features. There's more to follow. Allegedly.
  5. Hi. I'd suggested raising this with Support - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new As you're a subscriber, try Note History for one of these converted notes to see whether you can get back to a usable point... Use note history to view older versions of a note
  6. Still with the socks... This is probably true - ...but I still find the implied attitude annoying - this release has been pretty much without any information or support for users. Good for those who liked it, but those who found the furniture rearranged and a situation like "why do I have no bathroom now!" are expected to wait, patiently, until the shiny new bathroom (or whatever) gets delivered...
  7. I think it's part of Windows that if you deselect the item, the default is white. How to Turn On or Off Show Accent Color on Title Bars and Borders in Windows 10When you change the accent color in Windows 10, it will change the color of your Start menu accents, Start button, taskbar, title bars, window borders, buttons, text, Settings accents, sign-in screen accents, and Action Center accents by default. If you turn on show accent color on title bars and window borders, your selected accent color will show on the title bar and borders of the active window. The tile bars and borders of inactive windows will be a faded version of your accent color. If you turn off show accent color on title bars and window borders, all title bars and window borders will only show with the default white color instead of your selected accent color. This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off showing the accent color on title bars and window borders without affecting the color on Start, taskbar, and action center for your account in Windows 10. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/32174-turn-off-show-color-title-bars-borders-windows-10-a.html It's not something that Evernote seems likely to be able to fix, but you posted in the v10 forums, so the devs will see this and add it to the reports they have received.
  8. Hi again - I moved the post for you (I'm special ). I don't have access to either v10 or the latest Web UI (clearly I'm not that special) so excuse any dumb suggestions. These Evernote pages might help - How to change your account login email address Swap the email addresses between two separate Evernote accounts - (just in case) Otherwise: if you go to 'help' in the Windows client, is there a 'go to my account page' option? Try that for access...
  9. Or you could use the legacy version 7 which runs in parallel with v10...
  10. Hi. Seems like a glitch with the new app that will get fixed - meantime can you create a new stack and move the notebooks across?
  11. Hi. Exactly where are you changing your email address? I thought this was done in the web client...
  12. In the latest video that I've seen, Ian Small explained that Evernote had to re-code their 20-year old architecture to allow them to expand and add to the existing services. v10 as launched is the stripped down 'base' on which they can now rapidly (he says) build back the old features and add in the new ones. So the answer to your question is 'no idea!' Evernote are not publishing the order in which they'll be adding stuff back, nor are they committing to what they're bring back. It's a 'wait and see' situation...
  13. It seems to be a 'feature' of the installer that it will remove everything left over from previous versions - including unsynced Local Notes - with only a brief warning. I would definitely prefer to see a reminder of what local notes actually are in there somewhere - along the lines of "these unsynced notes exist ONLY in your local storage. Either export and save them elsewhere, or sync them to v10". There should also be an unusually strong 'are you sure?' / 'are you really REALLY sure? This will delete those notes!!' warning before install goes ahead. Or - y'know - being steely eyed coding persons, they might even set up an export and backup process as a recommended option!! Given that the old software is being wiped, it would make sense for v10 to reset any system defaults that it uses to v10 rather than the previous version - hence I guess, the occasional confusion between which Evernote to use. Don't know if Evernote will regard this as much of a priority to fix, but if the devs are reading these forums... maybe...
  14. Hi. Have you tried powering the device off and back on again? Notes aren't stored on the device unless you specifically request it, so this must be stuck in temporary storage somehow.
  15. Hi. Email support is only available to subscribers I'm afraid. There's Twitter @EvernoteHelps, or you can post the issue in this user-forum and we can try to assist.
  16. Hi - did you use the Legacy Link to install your 'old' version? I ask because I would hope that the legacy app 6.25.2 is housebroken enough not to interfere with v10, The previous public issue of Evernote for Windows was 6.25.1 https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  17. Hi. There's a new thread in the Forums about Scansnaps - see https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/forum/744-scansnap-home-support/ If you're not finding v10 up to scratch and can't wait for updates, install the Legacy version alongside it - all the benefits of the old features are available alongside the convenience of the new...
  18. There's a missing word here... not yet supported. We'll find out over the course of the next few months how many of the 'old' features make it to the new, and luckily the old version will remain active for at least that long, so you can continue your current workflow in the meantime. Be careful what you wish for? Just sayin...
  19. Hi. Is this the first time this person has shared with you? Check your emails / spam folder for an email inviting you to the share. If that person's account is a new one, it takes a few days for share to be setup. Can you share a note back to them?
  20. Hmmn. I agree with half that statement. My frustration with everyone's negative reaction so far has been that early adopters, who had an option, (with the exception of iOS) still chose to update to the latest shiny new version - and then complain that it doesn't work the same way as the old one. There's a Legacy version guys (and gals) - go reinstall that (unless you're an iPhone user) and go back to the interface you knew - and (apparently) hated less. See: I have tasks to get done. They're independent of apps, which I use to make my life easier. Tasks are depressingly consistent. Apps tend to come and go according to the whims and finances of their individual business interests that (quite properly) totally ignore my situation in any decision making process. When - and it's always when, not if - an app changes, I need to find a way around that issue so I can get back to my tasks. I'll either change my workflow, or I'll change the app. That's it. No other choices, no winging that the app provider has failed to meet my expectations... well, not much anyway. Those nasty task thingies are still hanging around, and it's going to be me on the firing line if they don't get processed. I need to choose better apps. Before I get the old 'fanboi!' reaction - I'm not defending Evernote here in any way. I think that Ian Small (the man in the 'buck stops here' desk) has presided over the worst bit of user support in Evernote's not particularly impressive history. He presents - in another third party video* - the reassuring news that launching the new app was not the aim of their re-coding exercise. This is just the first step in recreating the full Evernote experience from the ground up. More and more legacy features plus new shiny ones will be released during this year. That should have been on the table before the launch - and definitely before the very basic new app dropped on iOS. But. We are where we are. I'll not pretend I'm not also evaluating alternatives, but I'm staying with Evernote - I may even renew my subscription again - whilst continuing to hit tasks with my Legacy Evernote. I look forward to more updates with interest and hope. * Someone else flagged this new video - sorry I forgot to link back to that...
  21. Hi. Try downloading Evernote from Evernote.com. If the new version won't work for you, try the legacy option - you'll get v6.25 plus v10 running alongside it.
  22. Hi. v10 is just out, though lots of folks are still waiting to update from their 'old' apps in Windows, Android and Mac. "Just out" means AFAIK there are no courses yet from anyone on the new app and its operation. Evernote have a lot on Youtube though, and any questions you have besides that will get an answer here sooner or later. There's a Facebook community too. Best advice though is - start using Evernote. Even if its just to catalog your stuffed animal collection. You'll quickly work out the best way to use it for your own purpose.
