  1. Hi. The feature hasn't been 'eliminated' -for Windows users at least- because we never had this option. Word and Excel files show as icons in my v6.25, not as readable windows. PDF and image files display, everything else does not. That said, if it's likely to be brought back for Mac, then Windows will also benefit since they're now both part of the same basic structure. We don't yet know what's coming back, or in what timescale or order. Legacy Evernote: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  2. You could try right-clicking the note in the list window and save attachments to disk; if you edit, you'd then have to re-upload the changed version...
  3. Hi. A lot of features are temporarily stripped out in the new version. You can get these back by going 'legacy*', but they're -at least temporarily- unavailable in the new app. We don't yet know what's coming back, or in what timescale or order. Sorry. *See: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  4. Hi. If you specially wanted to, then yes - and/ or the same tag (which would save a lot of typing).
  5. This thread is 2 years old now, so I guess there's not a whole lot of interest in bulk-saving pages. I use the one-tab extension (or something that does the same job) to clear up clutter - couldn't you clip the page it generates, or copy/ paste into a note? The other option would be to clip bookmarks of the individual pages you're interested in, then create a Table of Contents note for the bookmarks...

  10. Odd. Edge is now Chrome-based too! Another option may have been to download from Evernote.com rather than the Windows store. That extra layer in the process may have been the issue.

  12. That was in context of a 'coulda, shoulda' situation where the update should have been offered as an opt-in beta... where we are, you're right; the options are - kill updates and stay firmly on the previous public version (not available for iOS) uninstall the updates and go back to the previous public version.. (a bit technical, may not be possible for some OS's and definitely not available for iOS) use the Legacy version for at least part of your activity - (not available for iOS unless you can use a desktop) hope that the updates with big fixes and added-back features come thick and fast - (ONLY available for iOS) 😕
  13. Hi. I'm on Outlook 2013 (as part of Office) and my Evernote Outlook Clipper is alive and well - but I'm using the last public version of Evernote 6.25.1 and the Clipper is installed when Evernote is. There is no separate app or extension.
  14. ??? As Evernote is currently proving, not listening to customers can cost an organisation a lot of income. I don't for a moment believe that they can think that v10 as it currently stands on features is the way to go. I do think that the company completely failed to warn users that the first iteration of v10 would be a feature-poor starter kit until they beat the operational bugs out of it while attempting to service 250M customers, and I think they were out of their mind to launch it as an automatic update. As has already been said, this app should have been offered as a public beta so that anyone with a workflow that depended on Evernote could continue to operate with their existing system. Any early-adopters who opted in to try it, could then also opt back out again if they didn't enjoy the experience. As is though, the company opened it's doors, threw out the welcome mat, and annoyed a heck of a lot of people. I'd guess they're desperately trying to get things fixed behind closed doors in hopes the new people they have attracted will make up for the wastage they're going to see at the end of the year. Meanwhile there are no volunteers to stick their head above the parapet for abuse - they're busy doing what they can; we'll just have to hope (against recent experience) that the situation can be resolved reasonably satisfactorily, and quickly.
  15. I wonder if this is anything to do with syncing with the server... confusingly I had the same experience in the latest Evernote Web. I was 12 words into a new note when a red error bar popped up on screen and suddenly there were two copies of the same note, one with just a few words, and the one I had open with everything I typed to that point. I assumed it was something to do with a dropped network connection, but maybe not. As you're subscribers I suggest reporting this to Support. Yes, you'll get standard warnings that there are 10-12 day delays, and they probably can't help; but you may be able to supply log files that will help them get to the bottom of this and help all of us... Meantime you could use the legacy version where you can. I'm staying firmly with EN Windows 6.25 and not touching v10 until they sort out more bugs... I stopped any updates for both the laptop and my Android devices too.
  16. Hi. I'm afraid you're stuck with iOS for the present, but see this for the desktop: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  17. I had one of those too... Evernote seems to have stimulated quite a response to their launch of v10, for which they were clearly not ready. I can sympathise with the support team who have to deal with legions of unhappy users, but I agree it's not a good look for Evernote. If you have any issues and can describe them in more detail, the (equally exasperated) users here might be able to help...
  18. Hi. Does your note contain a PDF file? Right-clicking a PDF in 6.25 will open in the default PDF reader for that system (or you could use 'open with'...)
  19. Hi. Did you just update? The v10 app changes the way notes are stored and needs time to repopulate the app. It should sort itself out in a few hours max.
  20. OK - Flagged for an Admin to look at. I can imagine a few ways it could have gone wrong, but that's not helpful right now - hope you get reconnected properly soon!
  21. Hi. Since this seems to relate to updating to v10 I moved it to the correct forum. Were you specifically keeping unsynced notes in a Local Notebook, or are you referring to the database file stored on your local device and synced with the server? "Local Notebooks" containing unsynced notes are no longer supported in v10 and you should have been warned about that when upgrading: Convert local notebooks. Your local database folder is also no longer required - in v10 Evernote saves notes into a temporary notebook and deletes that at the end of each session. Just after changing from the legacy version to v10 your notes are being re-downloaded from the server, so may appear to be incomplete for a few hours. I'd suggest you sign in to Evernote.com in your browser to check whether all your notes are still in place. If you did have unsynced notes, some or all of them may be recoverable if you have a backup of your local device anywhere. More may be available if you get in touch with Evernote Support via @EvernoteHelps
  22. Hi. How much storage does your notebook take up? Do you have that much space on your 'phone?
