  1. You cannot access an individual note from the folder. You would have to install the Evernote software to access your notes. The data directory isn't a simple collection of notes and attachments. Rather all linked to the servers online and connected via the application software. The folder depends upon your OS. The details are further up this thread.
  2. There is no single database file in Evernote 10. You need to keep the whole data directory structure as detailed higher up this thread.
  3. If you are Premium and were not automatically upgraded to Personal then you were paying a grand-fathered price. You have a choice. Stick with the plan you are currently on and you will pay your old price. However you will not gain any of the new additional features that come with Personal. If you need/want the Personal features then you can upgrade but you need to read the Ts&Cs to determine the deal. For sure, once you upgrade you will not be able to go back to your current Premium deal.
  4. This is not a new issue. I have a ticket and it has been acknowledged as something requiring attention.
  5. This used to be an issue but was resolved many releases back. I don't see much reporting of this any longer. The old quick resolution was type Ctr+R and if that did not work Ctrl+Shift+R Have you attempted a complete and clean uninstall? I'd try using an uninstaller such as Revo Uninstall (this is on Windows which you seem to running). You need every trace of Evernote removed from your PC. If that is what you have tried then I fear will have to go back to the support ticket and update it to say that the offered solution didn't work.
  6. The sync should work failrly seemlessly. The time it takes for a clipped note to appear in the desktoop app can be a few seconds up to a minute or so. Very occasionally it doesn't appear to arrive. I generally find that quitting and returning is sufficient. @gazumped has offered another slightly more radical approach which typically works. Another option is hidden away in the Help | Troubleshooting menu. For Windows, Ctrl+R, will reload your data, Ctrl+Shift+R will force a reload. If the issue persists when you clip new stuff then the File | Sign Out | Remove my Evernote data approach will repair your local copies of the data.
  7. It is true that the mobile applications - Android and iOS - do things differently. Often because the OS imposes different approaches. I believe that EN on Android and iOS are broadly similar. In Android, in Edit mode: Tap the menu button in the to right corner Select Find Once found the option to Replace or Replace All appears. HTH
  8. Note names are not unique in Evernote. You can, in theory, have multiple notes with the same name if you choose. How could this happen...? Typically by have the same note open on two devices at the same time. But you could also, accidentally created a duplicate copy. But none of these scenarios would give you a note with an identical name. If you are a subscriber then you can look at the note histories of each version which MIGHT give a clue as to when the changes occurred. You might be better using an external text editor which can compare content for differences.
  9. The Legacy and the v10 applications work indepdently of each. You have to sign in to each separately and they count as two devices if you are on the Free program. If you find the old version better then uninstall v10 and just stick with Legacy - accepting you won't have access to any of the new features which may not necessary for your use.
  10. @Herbie, you don't say which application and OS you are having a problem with. On Windows 10, the desktop app works as you would expect all text to copy/paste. Highlight the text you require right click and select COPY or tap Ctrl+C. Then paste into the new document/Email.
  11. You have raised a couple of threads both of which suggest these issues started a couple of days ago. My question would be what changed two days ago? Did you upgrade the software? Change computer? OS upgrade? Something else? That might give a clue v of what is going on?
  12. The so called Legacy (v6.25.2) is the same as v6.25.1 with the exception that the desktop/tray icons have a grey background. If you install v10 at home it will disable v6.25.1 but you can then reinstall whichever v6.25 you want and nothing will be lost. If you have any data in v6.25.1 in a local folder you should ensure you have a backup so that it isn't lost.
  13. If you can't scan using just the ScanSnap application then I doubt that reinstalling EN will make any difference. Focus on the ScanSnap function is the way forward.
  14. I can understand your concern. I would be equally concerned. It is quite possible for a scammer to attempt access to random notes by generating random note IDs. Good thing that the EN system has caught this and referred it to you. @DTLow has suggested another way this could have happened. Check that sharing is disabled for this note. Definitely report this. Ensure your take the normal security checks for your account.
  15. With login issues like this it can be wise to be patient and wait for a day or two. Installing new software may not fix anything if there is a network based issue with login. At the same time, it has been reported that the old v ersion of Evernote for Android has stopped working on some versions of the OS. Certainly close the app and restart your device first.
  16. I, too, see no future for this idea. There's been no traction in five years. Perhaps EN staff haven't seen this thread. If you haven't done so submit the idea via the feedback option in the applications. Perhaps that will give some prompt in the New Year and bring the idea alive.
  17. The web clipper team has, historically, been proactive in resolving browser integrations. Typically fixes arrive within two or three weeks. Whilst the browser Devs work on a monthly update schedule so the web clipper does, from to time, break.
  18. In my bones I suspect that this will be connected to Win 11 but I may be wrong
  19. I think @gazumped has the best insight. Raise a support ticket for the Web Clipper. It will take a few days due to the New Year holiday so I'd wait until next week. I suspect a fix will roll out but you should raise your experieexperience You should probably see this thread which has more information:
  20. OK. Your previous post showed three EN Helper with the buttons to screenshot but you were talking about the Web Clipper which you have now shown. I haven't followed the problems that emerged with the Web Clipper for Chrome. You may find more information on the Web Clipper area. But there was an issue reported and acknowledged before Christmas.
  21. Another thought... Is this happening with web pages from just one website or for all web pages regardless of source?
  22. It isn't my expectation. Applications that do a single task and once complete are not needed I expect to close. Applications that are working and doing things like using reminders, notifications, standing by to receive documents dropped into an import folder I would expect to sit quietly in the taskbar.
  23. You say the links are broken... Are they removed or been replaced by something else? Try this as an experiment. Choose any simple web page which includes a link and clip it into Evernote. Check that has the same result as before. Assuming it does, what happens if you then simplify the formatting? Does that fix the link? Just doing some diagnosis at this point.
