I don't see the three dots. I click on the notebook that I want to download and then right-click> I see selections for exporting the notebook.

How do you do this? I was using Legacy, but I have been using the new version for some time now. I also use Evernote all the time. It runs in the background. "Let the client running all the time, in the background. It will take hours and on larger accounts days until the download has completed." What is the advantage of this?

Thanks for your time in helping me do this. Is there a way to know which notes are damaged or broken before starting the download process. Right now, I am downloading the notebook> after a few minutes getting an error message, (the download process stops) >> I fix the error message note>>then I have to restart the download from the beginning until I get the next error message.. Can someone lead me to steps on how to download my notes? I tried backing up directly from Evernote to an external drive but got stuck with the error message as noted on the original post.

I have Evernote Premium. I have a Mac computer. I want to back up the files that I have. About 20K. I have just one notebook. 1- I have read through the forum messages- don't quite understand how folks are able to do this on a regular basis- every week or so. Seems high level tech to me. Would like a simple explanation of how to do this. 2- Nevertheless, I am able to get start the back-up process. When backing up the notebook, I get several error messages that stops the back up. And then have to restart the whole backup process and after a few minutes get another of these error messages. How do I correct the errors and how do I complete a back up. 3- With the .enex back up, you would need Evernote to be able to read the notes. Is that right? And if evernote should not be available how would we read the back-up notes. Thanks.

I am not clear from your explanation why the clipper is not working now, whilst it was working a couple of days ago. I have used EN and clipper for over a decade so I generally know how it functions. What should I do? I have Mac-Chrome, so download a Safari EN web clipper? Thanks for your help

OK. Thanks. So 2 EN's and 2 EN helpers. Got both. How about the Webclipper. I am using chrome. There seems to be one Clipper extension but that is not working at all for me now.

I tried to do this yesterday. I installed the legacy version but the EN helper kept asking me to sign into Evernote even though I was signed in. Ugh!! So frustrating. I wish I could just go back to the old version and have it work like it did without all this trouble with the new version.

What is EN client? I had my system noted above in the original post. Mac OS 10.15.7 EN 10.27.5 for mac is installed right now with a new version of EN helper that is not very helpful. I would like the legacy EN helper.

I used to be able to clip, clip, clip in succession and build up a collection of clips in a single EN helper note and then save. Also I would add notes after each clip if needed which could be done within the EN helper. All this functionality is missing....I would really really like to see a return of that. Any kind of clip results in the clip being saved directly into Evernote. This is tedious b/c I clip a lot from journals etc...Merging in EN is tedious considering how much I use EN helper. In the past I would be able to make several clips, take notes have it go to one EN helper note and then when ready be able to save to Evernote manually. This was incredibly useful in my work. Please please restore previous functionality.

OS 10.15.7EN 10.27.5 for mac Not sure why this is happening. I was able to do this 2 days ago. Not able to send it directly to my EN account via "recipient". So installed the EN manager to my Gmail, but still not sending the email to EN. Thanks.

OK. Not a good solution. Too. much trouble clip and merge. Also these clips need to belong in one note with added notes to each clip. It is now very time consuming- unless there is a way that I am recognizing. I installed legacy Evernote but was not able to get the EN helper to work. How do I install just the legacy EN helper, without the the legacy EN? PS: Tried to install the legacy EN but neither the EN nor the helper was working correctly.

I am not tech savvy. I have been using Evernote for the last 10 years without any issues. I recently had to reformat my computer, now have MacOS Catalina, also got the latest version of Evernote. The chrome extension places an Icon on the Chrome taskbar for opening Web Clipper. My problem is the Web clipper. I downloaded the extension for chrome but the icon is not displayed on the browser so I cannot save articles or notes from the web. What am I not doing correctly? I did this a couple of times but still don't seem to get the web clipper as is described in all the web clipper user videos. I only see this icon, please see attached picture, but not the actual icon for the most useful Web clipper. How do I get the clipper working for this computer? The web clipper icon on the top next to the flag (picture attached) is mainly for taking notes and if I clip something it automatically goes directly to Evernote. This is a feature that I don't like compared to the older version, where I could do many clips and then choose to save it the Desktop version. Is there a way to adjust how this quick note functions?
