  1. Hi. A lot of features are temporarily stripped out in the new version. If your issue relates to one of these you can get it back by going 'legacy*', but many are -at least temporarily- unavailable in the new app. We don't yet know what's coming back, or in what timescale or order. Sorry. *See: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  2. New version, limited functions; install the Legacy version (on desktop only) while they are brought back. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  3. Not possible in Evernote 10, but you can run the Legacy version alongside it... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  4. Hi. Not possible in Evernote, unless you can use tags. Set up a nested tag layout such as home recipes hot_lunches (searches hate spaces) vegetarian ...to remind you of the keywords, then apply those four tags separately <home><recipes><hot_lunches><vegetarian> You can search for all vegetarian meals / all hot lunches / all recipes - or that specific group of vegetarian hot meals. Use tag:<keyword> tag:<keyword> for detail searches.
  5. No way to separate what one person did using your login details from any other person with the same information. If you kept local backups of your account you could do some basic checks in case content has been deleted or changed, but otherwise look for any edits during the period you weren't using the account, and check the Trash notebook for deletions...
  6. Missing features are being brought back; meantime there's Legacy - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  7. Google to the rescue... And as far as I know the Legacy version (as long as it lasts) will continue to support the Outlook Clipper. But Evernote are saying (again - I believe) that they will no longer support that option. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  8. Hi. If you're complaining about a 50-note limit (you didn't exactly say) - that is temporary (apparently) and applicable to the new app. Install Legacy to export as before... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  9. Hi. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  10. If someone accesses your account using your valid ID details, Evernote has no idea whether this is actually you, or someone who has obtained your log-in from elsewhere. Given the number of users who log in from multiple devices around the world I have no idea how they identify 'unusual activity', and I doubt they'd be willing to explain that themselves to avoid giving hackers tips on how to do it more effectively. They have provided easy access to the page you copied so that users can check for themselves, and if and when then have reason to suspect a problem they will always let you know; but most of the corrective action is in our own hands - changed passwords, 2 factor logins and occasional checks.

  12. Agreed that's how paper filing worked, which - I believe - simply got translated into computer folders and sub folders at the time. Alternative ways to index information now exist, but some users are happy with those, and others are not. It's best though to go with what you know - as you've already indicated is your intention.
  13. Hi. v10 has not been universally welcomed (!!) but as you may be aware there is a desktop Legacy version which runs alongside the new app and -should- give you access to your notes again... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  14. I'm sure it will be - but there are many other features to bring back, and Evernote don't publish a timeline.
  15. Hi. If your current version (6.25.1) is still working, I'd suggest you read the reviews of the new v10 very carefully and consider whether you wish to update to a work-in-progress. If you do, try installing the Legacy app (6.25.2) which runs alongside the new v10 and gives you access to all your current features as well as the new fornat. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  16. Hi. Or you could (re-) install the legacy version, which still recognises local notebooks... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  17. Hi. The 'Legacy' app will install and run alongside the new v10 app. It includes all the old original features which may not yet be available in the new app. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  18. Try this? https://discussion.evernote.com/announcement/72-issues-accessing-evernote-support-channels/
  19. Hi. have you checked https://www.evernote.com/Devices.action to see how many come up? We're a (mainly) user-supported Forum so your options would seem to be: contact support via Twitter @EvernoteHelps Update (if only for 1 month) to get access to all devices and email support - support may be slow; they're a little busy with other issues at the moment wait out the sync lock
  20. Evernote Legacy will run alongside v10 so you can use both (preferably not at the same time) - if your OS supports it.
  21. Totally agree - 'twas just a f'rinstance. They probably have lots of other internal decisions to make at the moment, though I agree - some feedback would be nice!!
  22. You are correct that the stripped-down v10 does not include any preferences...yet. They will come back. Meanwhile (apart from iOS) there's the Legacy version.
  23. I have no information about whether or not that was the case in Legacy, but it is the case now. So as you say, the choice is: use legacy some of the time, or get used to the new limit - which may only be temporary. You posted this as an idea, so anyone who's interested can vote the option up to indicate support. I use left-list view and switch it in and out (using the last release before 10) with the F-keys. Works for me...
  24. Yes Yes So far... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
