  1. From the brief interactions I've had with Support I'd say they haven't the foggiest idea themselves. If they managed to resolve all the outstanding comments and queries tomorrow I bet they would drop pre-10 versions within months. And if they did I'd be happy to move on because EN10 would by then be working. I don't see them having any clue as yet on how long it will take to fix things properly, but they won't be making any rash statements like "we'll maintain your access for a year" because they might get things sorted in a month, and then they want us all onto the new system so they can save the costs of maintaining the old one. If they offered a "we'll keep legacy going until the new system is fit for purpose" comment, there would be endless arguments about whether or not things were actually "fit". So as ever - the most efficient option is just to say nothing and get on with fixing stuff. Either we trust them and stay - and where's the risk in that? - Or we jump ship; and there be dragons. I just read a query about unauthorised access to an account in one of the competitors whose name is frequently mentioned as a possible option here. (Not going to say which - I don't know if that's a valid report and anyways - do your own due diligence!)
  2. Hmmn. You should have access to Note History in any notes that still exist, but if that doesn't contain the information you'll have to wait for Support I'm afraid. We don;t have any under-the-hood access to look into what may have happened here. Sorry.
  3. When full functionality is restored to the app you'll be able to close individual panes to allow more space, or use top list view to use the full width of the window. Meantime there's Legacy... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  4. Probably, in time; meantime there's Legacy - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  5. Hi. I'm old school. I'd rather take notes on paper (very few battery or connection issues there...) and copy / rewrite the full abstract later with images of the original notes. If you want to be hi-tech, and while Evernote 10 seems to be ever so slightly flaky in lots of ways, I'd suggest the Legacy version as safer ground... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  6. Are we talking the stripped-down launch version, or what Evernote will become shortly when its features are restored? Actually, new users - who don't use complicated features that much - seem to find it quite attractive. 'Course I haven't done the in-depth survey that you clearly have... ? So if we simply continue to use the features that we know and love (and have been using for the past few years) in Legacy until Evernote gets its act together with v10, there's a price??? Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of current Basic users that Evernote is trying to convert by restricting the otherwise generous terms of the free version. Funny how many Evernote users are desperately looking around for another solution - but not finding one then... Yup - the sky could fall too; for anything less, you have a bunch of experienced users in the forums who can probably come up with work-arounds. Hmmn. I blame both Apple and Evernote for this - but I agree it was extremely dumb. And it has been said here before. Several times. Haven't noticed any fights going on. Endless winges, yes; but no fights. And Evernote are already doing their best to fix the issues that come up. --------------------------------- So. how about we stick to reporting bugs, flagging possible new note-taking options for dissatisfied users, and even helping others - rather than random trolling?
  7. I'd guess nobody noticed until now - there's a lot else wrong with the new version so (also guessing) it won't get fixed anytime soon, but you could use the Legacy version if that's an issue.
  8. Hi. Also reported here by others. Seems to be a bug of some kind - work-round is to use the Web or Legacy versions for the meantime.
  9. OK thanks - you might want to tag any notes you intend to delete, or move them to an 'archive' notebook/ stack and delete from there for a while. This may be a bug that Evernote will have to find and correct.
  10. Oh. OK - in that case is it possible you logged into a new account by accident? If not you do need to raise a support ticket - try proceeding as 'guest' on the support page to get a number. If you post that back here we can flag it for an Admin to take a look at.
  11. Hi. When you reinstalled Evernote 10, did you copy it back onto your computer from a backup, or did you download the current version and install it again? The correct way would be to download again from Evernote.com and log in with your existing details.
  12. Hi. Thanks for responding here, but any solution you get for iOS and Web won't necessarily apply to Windows. I'd suggest you post this query in the correct OS thread, and add some more detail about exactly how and where your deleted notes re-appear.
  13. Then you did not get through to support. There's an autoresponder that assigns you a reference automatically. Try again? https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action
  14. Up to this point I'm guessing Evernote did not have the ability to implement it across several different operating systems. Now they have unified the editor it's more of a possibility - but lets wait until they get the rest of the previous features working properly before adding more work to the pile, shall we?
  15. Hi. Do you have any alternative access to the account? Via web or desktop?
  16. Hi. The new version is still catching up with all the features of the original. If this is a particular issue, try the legacy version...
  17. Hi. Have you tried installing the Legacy (fully featured) version of Evernote?
  18. Hi. New version; very limited features. Being updated slowly - meantime there's a Legacy version...
  19. Hi. Updating to a new version is not immediate - the database is being converted. You should see the full note set in an hour or so. Meantime try signing into the web version at Evernote.com. Oh - and you might want to reduce your spam load by removing your email address from this public forum.
  20. Legacy works alongside the the new guy - just check in every few weeks to see what changes...
  21. Hi. You still show as Basic here, so it would appear your payment hasn't gone through yet - Apple and Evernote do not seem to have a close connection. Have you tried logging out of everything and restarting your device? Check with whomever has your payment - what do they say about your upgrade?
  22. Report it to Support? (It'll take a while, but I assume -and hope- you're being ironic)
