  1. It take a few days for updates to roll out and duting this time EN assures you that you have the most recent version even though you don't. I'm a Windows user and I can just go to the EN download site, download the new version and install it on top of the version I'm running. I don't know whether that works for mac as well.
  2. I think you need to post this in the tasks beta forum as EN's policy is that betas should only be discussed in the private beta forums.
  3. Well support are wrong! Click "Need a little help?" at the bottom of the sidebar and then release notes. The version number is at the top of the release notes pop up. In the old version of EN Web I think you got it fromthe drop down next to your user name at the top left of the sidebar.
  4. What like this: You need to be in the main notebook screen obtained by clicking notebooks in the sidebar. You can't do it from the sidebar anymore.
  5. There have been numerous issues with merging loosing images and attachments. These seem to have been solved with the latest version (10.11.5) so hopefully updating will help.
  6. In windows there is the option to copy the link as an internal link or as a web link. I don't use V10 on Android but I guess you are saying that the option does not exist within Android V10. Unfortunately there is no way to change a link from one type to the other after it is created. I thought you would be able to manually edit it but they have different note specific codes in each one.
  7. No both apples are png. The one with transparency doesn't work so that might be it. In my testing jpgs don't work either.
  8. Yes that one works. Obviously something that still needs sorting.
  9. Not currently in version 10 without using the windows shortcut hack. V10 does not recognise file:\\\ notation.
  10. When I copy that image into the web browser version of EN I get the link (no edit icon). Very strange.
  11. Another thing to do would be to just try the web version. There are obviously a few differences but not that many and you will certainly get a good feel of what it's like.
  12. Working for me (alt-ctrl-1). Are you always in a particular screen or doing the same task when it doesn't work or does it never work?
  13. I'm not from EN but somebody recently posted how to stop youtube links being converted into previews. The same trick works with Google docs links. You need to add a space before and after. So on windows press: <space> ctrl-V <space> Alternatively you can always write some text, highlight it, hit the add link button and paste the Google doc url into the link box. So there are three possible ways of configuring a Google docs link.
  14. Interesting. I'm still getting only the link when I copy and paste an image into the web version. Here is an example workflow: Copy an image from a website (right click -> copy image) Paste (ctrl-V) into a new note in the web version of EN Wait a few seconds for the note to sync to the desktop app Looking at the image there is no ability to edit which is characteristic of it being a link and not the actual image. This can be confirmed in the developer tools (F12) Now ctrl-V into the same note in the desktop app and again examine the image. This time the edit icon is available.
  15. It is released but it takes several days before everybody is updated and during this time EN will tell you that you have the up to date version. You can shortcut the process by going to the download page and simply downloading it and installing on top of the existing version.
  16. Weird. I tried it and could definitely reproduce it. If on the other hand you use bullets and then the next level of bullet it works fine
  17. I'm pretty sure there isn't. The only augmentation you can do is to add emojis which can be quite effective at indicating the subject matter or drawing attention to the note
  18. EN is obviously picking up the date/time format from somewhere (not the regional format settings in Windows which for me are identical to @cswilly's). It's disappointing that EN Support do not know where it is either.
  19. Mine is also direct download from the EN website Although you may not use Chrome EN is built on chromium in the background although I have no evidence that the two are connected in terms of date formating. I agree with you that it should be easy to change your formatting but it's not quite as simple as saying everything is in US format.
  20. This is not necessarily true. For me it displays it in UK format. e.g in note info: At the top of the note: Or inserted: Where it picks up the date formating is a bit of a mystery and is certainly not in EN itself. It is probably either in windows setting, chrome settings or some combination of the two.
  21. This is only an issue if you copy the image into the web version of EN. If you copy it into the desktop version it works as expected. In earlier version of V10 it didn't work correctly in the desktop app either. Some comsistency would be nice.
  22. After finding the notes that are shared using @DTLow's answer you will need to look at each result to determine if you have shared it with a particular person or just made it a shareable link and then remove the permission. If it is a shareable link I assume that if you revoke it and then make it shareable in order to share it with somebody else in the future the original person will regain access. You can also see which notes are shared in the notebook menu screen but this is only really practical if you have a few notes as there is no filter in the view. Note that the search syntax does not list notes shared through a shared notebook but it is easy to see if a notebook is shared in the notebook menu screen.
  23. As webpages become more and more complicated the webclipper has strugled to convert the content into EN's own format. EN's solution to this has been to keep the content as html within the html box. This is a big win for users who just want to look at the content without editing or even highlighting it. If on the other hand you want to edit and highlight you have a number of options, none of which are perfect. Simplify and make editable as discussed Capture the article as a simplified article in the first place - this gives very similar results to No, 1 but may be better (or worse) for different web sites Save the page as a pdf (e.g. print to pdf in Chrome). Attach the pdf to a note and use the pdf annotation tools within EN Just copy and paste into EN, although for me that is generally a disaster.
  24. Do you see the three dots menu when you hover over the grey web clip bar? You can also access "simplify and make editable" from there.
  25. Or you can press any other character or enter. Could you explain your use case as for me I can't think of acase where I would not want to add a character or enter after pasting the url.
