Unfortunately, there is no support. It doesn't matter how critical your problem is. This is a HUGE issue, which doesn't seem to bother a lot of folks on these forums. You are paying for this product. You should get support. Especially in a critical situation like this (but, I would argue, in any situation, given the price we're paying). I hope you find a solution to your problem!

I have Evernote Premium. I have a Mac computer. I want to back up the files that I have. About 20K. I have just one notebook. 1- I have read through the forum messages- don't quite understand how folks are able to do this on a regular basis- every week or so. Seems high level tech to me. Would like a simple explanation of how to do this. 2- Nevertheless, I am able to get start the back-up process. When backing up the notebook, I get several error messages that stops the back up. And then have to restart the whole backup process and after a few minutes get another of these error messages. How do I correct the errors and how do I complete a back up. 3- With the .enex back up, you would need Evernote to be able to read the notes. Is that right? And if evernote should not be available how would we read the back-up notes. Thanks.

Support is quite inundated - we as other users can't really help you with this. We can just ask you to be patient, or use the ticket list on the help pages (requires a login) to look after the ticket. For the future these steps can make sure your account is safe: Store the 2FA codes safely and where you can access them, for use whenever the dynamic code is not available Make sure your phone is safe, using the different locking options and biometrics. You can in addition set up these measures for the EN account as well if you wish (Remark: I personally don't use it) Use an Authenticator that can be use on several devices, not only on a single one. I personally use Authy as independent authenticator app, synced over several devices.

It's not quite like Evernote, if you mean the notes previews next to the sidebar. I stopped using that in v10 because it takes up too much space on the desktop... But the Note Gallery plugin works very well for uploads with different filters and in different folders. It took me about 2 evenings to understand how to use the plugin and how to write the codes. There is a manual for it on his website and you can understand it from there. Of course, it's not as easy as Evernote, but once you understand it, it's fine and you can use it in a very different way. In fact, you can also set it to make a gallery of all notes and sort from the newest to the oldest, or you can limit it to the last 100 notes, for example, so that it doesn't "kill" the Obsidian calculation... I've also put together my own css additional settings for solving 1:1, 2:1 and so on... depending on what I want to display and how I want to display it. On my site, it works fine with 5 notes in all three widget sizes on 10.86.4 desktop on windows 11, while the bug still exits on the web version 10.85.4.

Hello all, I have several tasks that are stuck, I can't change them in any manner and they do not show up in iOS app and do randomly on the web app. I assume this note was deleted and the tasks are now orphaned. I've tried logging out and remove data and uninstall\reinstall. Any ideas how to remove these tasks would be much appreciated. * EN 10.86.4 Desktop * Windows 11

Simply, it works like this: 1/ Click on the image 2/ its code appears on the image 3/ and then you need to use the Excalidraw command "Annotate image in Excalidraw" You can configure how you access the command differently. I preferably have a keyboard shortcut, but I've added it to my right-click as well. See images below. Then the Excalidraw plugin opens the image directly in Excalidraw in a new Tab and you edit what you need to there. The original image stays on disk, but in the note it will be replaced straight away with the Excalidraw drawing and set automatically (you need to set it in Excalidraw settings) the same width of the drawing as the original orb was. In order to preserve the readability of the texts from the screenshots. This was my main behavioral requirement.. Here are my settings for the Excalidraw plugin to make it work the way I want (my texts are in English), but you can probably understand from the screenshots. I use Kanbanote. It's kind of klunky (ie - you can't be in the note in the Evernote app and also drag the note in the Kanbanote app) but it works - I have 5 boards and what's in the column(s) is a combination of notes and tags and/or just tags. Because I like the kanban visual/flow I rarely use Tasks. I was looking at the new Tasks full-screen appearance, but it's still not a workflow landscape of what's in the hopper or up-next for me - if that makes sense. One board is a snapshot of GTD dashboard of items - I start my day looking/updating that. I also have a Tasks & Calls board - similar to what Boot17 discussed - but Kanbanote populates just by adding tags and I think that's the thing. Some columns have disparate notes and kanban lets you see that; a task and a project in a "do now/keep an eye on". Some notes are on multiple boards because the note is a project.

Wow, I am so happy to see this feature in Evernote finally; I have needed it for a long time. Thank you Evernote for adding the ToC feature working with header content. I am looking forward to implementing it right away.

Use the emergency codes that you hopefully wrote down and saved when you set up the authenticator. Otherwise I suspect it may be that you need Evernote support. Vinnie

Hover over a task and jump to the note you mean?

It would be great if one could click on a task and it jups to the note / anchored area. Sometimes I have very very long notes and finding 1 task takes time (when I forget to write "#task" at the beginning).

There are two separate issues, full page task view and tasks tick box on the calendar. I was commenting that I do have full page task view working, but I also do not have the tasks tick box working yet.

Can you explain how this works, exactly? I've also been playing around with Obsidian, and have been finding basic image (not PDF) annotation to be its biggest weakness. I previously installed the Excalidraw plugin as the closest workaround, based on information on various Obsidian forums, but it always seemed incredibly convoluted and unintuitive. I was hoping there was a simple right-click-on-image and select "Annotate" type of workflow.

I think I’ll wait. I submitted a support request and got a response thanking me for reporting this bug. There are many other inconsistencies, like the Tasks tick box doesn’t appear on the web version (and possibly on the Windows version?), the internal EN Calendar doesn’t appear on the iOS and iPadOS apps, and that the internal Calendar is still in Beta, which I didn’t realize earlier. So it sounds like the internal EN Calendar is work in progress…

Full Task view works for me too, but that’s not what I was reporting. There’s a Tasks tick box, under the internal EN calendar that presumably should be showing the due tasks on the calendar, but checking or unchecking the box does nothing.

EN 10.86.4 and shortcut problems are back again 😡😒 It seems to be a bit different this time though. The widget show all notes marked with "add to shortcuts", but the problem is that this marking disappear in EN Windows (while everything works as it should be in EN Android!) 🤔😒

It may be that a full uninstall using Appcleaner to remove all trace of the original installation is needed. Then download the latest version from evernote.com/download to see what happens

I think the need is random and database dependent. I’ve had to fully uninstall and reinstall the desktop only once in recent memory but on mobile several times. It almost seems to be a roll of the dice with each update and with the current frequency of updates the odds get higher.

I’m not sure I would agree that they would be withholding value by not releasing it. I notice that in the pic they have 141 files. They should have an account like mine as one of the test beds. I have over 50,000. Many of those are web clipping junk that I wish were automatically filtered out. I can filter those out by clicking on the doc tab, but I have to wait for the all tab to fill first before switching to the other tab. Also you can only act on one file at a time. I’m not seeing the value at the moment.
