  1. We're told the 50 limitation is a temporary restriction @Siddharth Gurjar can you confirm?
  2. Install the Evernote Legacy product at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314?fbclid=IwAR2TNqp-eGRH3Ds8Vfu-CiKPjYolJzZ_keR9eWQaDahJ2GN-7hwn595zI8w&__s=bsetfdgzirbvqtopurph
  3. v7.14 is fine To create a Local Notebook, hold down the option key and click the Help menu
  4. Can't advise on the IOS platform Certainly Mac users have no issues using the Evernote Legacy product Is there a reason you're using the Evernote 10 product? Personally, I'm waiting until the work gets completed
  5. Locally there are two different databases on your device Both databases are sync'd to the single master database at the Evernote servers
  6. I think you're referring to the Evernote Version 10 product imho This is a work-in-progress; not ready for general use I'm using the Evernote Legacy product
  7. Hold down the option key. click the File menu
  8. I use the direct download from Evernote; www.evernote.com/download
  9. imho The version 10 product is not ready for general use As per @PinkElephant, simply use a legacy version It's not a complicated problem
  10. So, someday in the future I will be "forced to make a decision" I expect by then the Evernote v10 will be completed, and will be an option
  11. I am a user of the Evernote services, and really don't want to leave Still using the Legacy software I'm not being "forced to make a difficult decision"
  12. This is the Evernote Helper app Can't say about future plans; it was an option in the Legacy version The application can be quit using the Activity Monitor app
  13. On the contrary, I'm surprised at how tolerant Evernote is of posts in this forum Not sure if users should be posting in the Announcements forum
  14. That's a different question I don't have the answer, but I can assure you we're good for today ... and tomorrow
  15. Your assumption that 98% are using notebooks is incorrect It's also a small number
  16. I wouldn't say "second class citizen", but I recognize Notebooks and Tags serve different functions If my requirement is shared or offline notes; I use the Notebook field
  17. Two known problems - all child tags are included - this should be an :any search
  18. I don't try to recreate the Note-Id I save it as a text field appended to the note contents
  19. I've not seen any notice from Evernote To indicate support for this feature, use the vote button at the top left corner of the discussion
  20. The notebook equivalent would be a note assigned to the wrong notebook fyi The search for untagged notes is -tag:* I control tag assignment using an applescript on my Mac This ensures all notes receive a type tag The type tag directs other assignments. For example Type-Receipt gets Budget and Vendor tags
  21. Nothing has been removed (yet) The issue is the panel location for tag information
  22. I split your post into a separate discussion I have 14k+ notes; minimal Notebooks; 100+ Tags In some ways Notebooks and Tags are interchangeable; they're both fields in the note metadata Tags are Evernote's primary organization tool Notebooks have a special function; to identify notes as private/shared, offline My preference for Tags is based on the restriction of a single Notebook assignment per note What is your process when a note fits the criteria for multiple Notebooks? >>I find two levels of notebook hierarchy fine With your "subtopic" in the note title, you have three levels If I was a Notebook user, my preference would be unlimited levels; similar to Tags
  23. Less risk if you convert the subscription from annual to monthly I thought about it but decided to renew with an annual subscription At this time, I have no reason to cancel my subscription, or switch from Evernote The legacy version continues to work well for me I will continue to monitor the Version 10 progress to see when it becomes a valid upgrade; currently it's a work in progress
