As you say, Evernote 10 is a work-in-progress, not ready for general use The Legacy product is very much alive, and recommended. Evernote continues to support the data sync process I'm happily using the Legacy product on my Mac

I'm not clear on the purpose of your post In addition to the Web platform, Evernote has client software for each platform; Windows, Apple, Android, IOS My guess is that most users are using the Windows platform Evernote offers a free subscription level, Premium and Business Evernote provides an integrated note editor, and supports any format file attachments

I see Version 10 as a new product being developed by Evernote This differs from the Legacy product which I'm using Like Coke Classic and New Coke

I have both Legacy and Version 10 installed on my Mac No issues with the Legacy product

The local database is also optional, and only referenced when users are offline edit: Local Notebooks were stored in the local database, along with the copy of the online data

My file attachments are moved out of Evernote; replaced with file links The notes themselves remain in Evernote, with tags and also descriptive information

I have two processes for sensitive data Encryption using the native encryption of file attachments (pdfs etc.) / Move attachments to a local folder; replace with file links

You are the "muddy the water" The subject of the discussion is "offline notes in latest update - Mac" Local Notebooks is a completely different discussion

Evernote has never had an "open in notebook" option The product is very note centric It's more productive if you submit your issues as separate posts or append to ongoing discussions

"All" is the default option "Any" can be specified by prefixing your search arguments; example any: tag:aaaaa tag:bbbbb

Evernote has never made an easy solution for deleting saved searches Clicking the query icon in the sidebar gives a list of saved searches Then, I have to run the saved search and click on ... to get the delete option btw I rarely access saved searches directly I assign as shortcuts and just use the shortcut icon in the sidebar command 1-9 is a keyboard shortcut for the first 9 entries

As I said, I'm still using the Legacy product It supports full database exports Warning: Large .enex files may cause a problem when importing Warning: The export function does not include a full set of metadata; Notebook and Note-Id are missing

Can you post the exact search you're using I don't use notebooks, but this should work notebook:aaaaaa tag:AAAAAA -tag:!Completed

Is there a reason for you using the Version 10 product; it's still a work-in-progress I'm still using the Legacy product
