  1. fwiw The offline database is optional, and only required for offline use
  2. This is a known "feature upgrade" For checkboxes in a list, we're supposed to use the checklist feature With checklists, we don't get numbered or bullet lists
  3. This was posted as a feature request and I added my vote In the meantime, we need a solution for our Local notebooks so we don't lose the notes Here's my work-around With a legacy version, I used the Save Attachments to Folder feature on my Mac This copied the attachments (mostly pdfs) to a local OS file folder For each note, I removed the attachment file and replaced it with a file link I then moved the notes to an online notebook
  4. With the "new build" you switched to the Version 10 product and you're using Applescript, which is not yet supported (hoping for an upcoming update) Install Evernote Legacy at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314?fbclid=IwAR2TNqp-eGRH3Ds8Vfu-CiKPjYolJzZ_keR9eWQaDahJ2GN-7hwn595zI8w&__s=bsetfdgzirbvqtopurph Your script says tell application "Evernote" Two choices 1. Change the script to tell application "Evernote Legacy" 2. Rename the app EvernoteLegacy.app > Evernote.app
  5. Install the Version 10 product; this will replace any previous Evernote version Install the Evernote Legacy version This will not impact your Version 10 installation This will be installed as a separate app, labeled as Evernote Legacy
  6. Underscore works as a tag name prefix Other special characters are dropped; sadly, one of the failures ub Evernote's search feature My tag names are prefixed with various special characters that fail in a text search
  7. So you agree we're ok for the time being with the Mac/Windows Legacy product (IOS users are screwed)
  8. My source is the Evernote blog (https://evernote.com/blog/unlocking-evernotes-future/)There are a handful of features (such as editing tables, widgets, and Apple Watch support) that weren’t quite ready for today’s release, but we’re actively working to get those done and you should see them in one of our regular updates.
  9. My thinking is this product is new development, the features have to be added
  10. The offline copy is the default on my Mac I can disable it in Preferences
  11. Evernote Legacy is currently supported by the sync process It's working well for me during this work-in-progress
  12. We're told this is the initial implementation of a base framework. Features are being added with upcoming releases
  13. Tag parent-child hierarchy has been long supported on the Mac/Windows platforms I also replicate the hierarchy in the tag name; for example Meeting, Meeting-2020/01/05, Meeting-2020/01/08
  14. I'm not sure if tags within content can be supported by the Evernote architecture I've inserted my own tags (keywords) which can be accessed using the search feature
  15. I don't know about being reassured but I appreciate the release of the Evernote Legacy product (Mac/Windows)
  16. You have control of the software installed on your Mac If you don't like the Version 10 product; install the Legacy product
  17. I don"t recall this option in legacy IOS versions Macs had an option but it only related to the default display for notes; notes are created with no embedded font assignment
  18. Back in the day, my organize efforts would be with Folders and Sub-Folders Evernote replaced that with Tags with the primary benefit that a note can have multiple tags
  19. I upvoted the feature request The time setting does not have to be so dominant fwiw Tecnically, dates are stored in a database field defined as time (the number of seconds elapsed since the start of the Unix epoch at 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UT)
  20. Yes, I do this for my family Evernote becomes my web site with the top level as a table of contents note It's important that all the links are public share links
  21. Various users have tried to explain their notebook/tag division but I don't understand Notebooks/Tags are my "table of contents" Text search is my index
  22. The vote button is at the top left corner of the discussion
  23. Just to be clear; I think you meant text search Evernote supports search by text, tag, notebook , date, ...
  24. The Preference settings are pending; to be delivered in a future upgrade
