  1. Is this a reference to Import folders? We know implementation of import folders is pending; we expect implementation shortly From the release notes please be aware that there are a handful of features—such as AppleScript, import folders, and the ability to edit note creation dates—that are not yet available. If your workflow depends on these features, you can continue to use our legacy apps. The Legacy app can be installed at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  2. I continue to see value in the Evernote product/service - both free and paid Users can continue to access the Evernote product/service without paying I suspect the conversion rate is low has to do with human nature All these users thinking why should I pay, when I can get it for free
  3. As per @CalS, I've experienced data loss from the accidental deletion of notes No bad experiences with Evernote, but the weekly full export confirms there's an exit option when needed
  4. I use a spreadsheet Each morning an applescript (Mac) exports my task note info and creates the chart
  5. I'm guessing this would be the standard calendar grid: yearly/monthly/weekly/daily For task management, I use a gantt timeline view
  6. The point is, it's viable today and the immediate future >>The legacy version will not continue to be supported? Right, some day in the future And I will address it then, if not before The work on Version 10 will be completed and I will consider switching
  7. I'm still using the "previous version" (Legacy product) I consider the Version 10 product is a work-in-progress, and not ready for general use
  8. Yes This is the reason I add "To indicate support for the request, use the vote button at the to left corner of the discussion" to my posts
  9. Group Containers Local database storage for Evernote Legacy If deleted, the database will be rebuilt from the servers when logging in to the Evernote Legacy app ˜/Library/Application Support/Evernote Local database storage for Evernote Version 10 This is optional and can be disabled within the app ˜/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data On my installation, this is 41KB
  10. Quoting from the release notes - If your workflow depends on these features, you can continue to use our legacy apps. Install the Legacy product from https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote >>Does anyone have the email addresses of the Evernote CEO and CTO? Evernote's Version 10 has many issues and development is ongoing This specific request has 4 user votes (vote button at the upper left corner of the discussion) Why do you think these particular issues require higher priority from the CEO and CTO?
  11. Evernote uses an enml/html format for storing our note data There are various hidden characters which we don't see The Mac editor has a simplify/remove formatting option to remove these hidden characters. It may fix your issue
  12. Evernote maintains a device list, but sometimes gets mixed up and lists the same device twice As you noted, the solution is to revoke the duplicate entry Warning: Basic accounts are restricted to two revokes monthly
  13. This would be copying notes of a notebook to a new notebook On my Mac, I multi-select the notes and a move button appears There's also an export/import process to create copies of notes
  14. Identify the database folder; on my Mac /Users/DTLow/Library/Application Support/Evernote This is the folder to be backed up Warning: I have not tested a total database restore for the Version 10 product it's not a backup/restore process I use Note - this is the local copy of our data; the master copy is located on the Evernote servers As to the incremental part - it's handled hourly by my backup software (Mac Time Machine) To restore files, I just specify the date/time and it's handled automatically
  15. We never had a single .exb file on the Mac platform instead, we backed up the container folder A benefit of multi-file storage is that backups can be incremental; i.e just the updated data
  16. It's not 100%, but there's various backup options I run a full export weeky in html format The notes are placed in an OS folder, and are read-able by any browser app Full export can also be enex format, but this produces a single file in Evernote's internal format It can be used for import and restores your database (new notebook, new note-ids) Some users do separate exports for each notebook Be aware: Full export and html format are only available in the Legacy product We expect this to be implemented in the Version 10 product
  17. The offline local copy continues to be a feature with Evernote Version 10
  18. Thanks for the screenshots I merged the various discussions for this topic It's interesting to see both: Set due date and Add reminder In the pre-version10 architecture, there is no due date field; I've been using reminder date
  19. I understand the problem now It's a combination of: device limit (2), and revoking device access limit (twice monthly) edit: For Basic Accounts When accessing the account with a third device, Evernote updates the device list The account's device list now contains three entries In a separate step, Evernote checks the account's device list and blocks access unless a device is revoked The revoking can only be done two times a month
  20. Login to your account and check the account settings/info Check the "Member Since" date
  21. The usual cause is the accidental creation of a new account Make sure you log in with the correct userid/password
  22. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005177-Set-up-offline-notebooks-on-mobile-devices
  23. My plan is to export to a flat folder structure (a single folder) The shortcuts (file links) are imported into Evernote where the organization structure is maintained >>What were you thinking in terms of making step 5 efficient? I'm not familiar with html, so there might be an easier way, but if you export those notes as enex ... My plan is to export in html format (editable in MS Word)
  24. What's the format of those links? evernote:///view/ links should continue to open in-app
