  1. The Mac Legacy product has no support for selective offline notebooks; the full database is sync'd Evernote is now focussed on the Version 10 product Still no support for selective offline notebooks, but the full offline database is optional
  2. Is there a reason you switched to the Version 10 product It's a wotk-in-progress and there's no indication what the date format plans are I'm stll using the Legacy product - install at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  3. I don't need to learn the entire set of shortcuts; just the shortcuts I frequently use My learning method is repetition (from frequent use) 🙂
  4. I think my data is safe with Evernote I also think the Version 10 product is a work-in-progress, and imho not ready for general use I use the Evernote Legacy product
  5. Limits are documented at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005247-Evernote-system-limits It's 100,000 notes
  6. You might want to open a support ticket https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action
  7. Currently, Evernote presents a note list panel - Side List and Top List are view options and provide a grid view of metadata (desktop platforms) - Column options are limited to specific metadata fields - Sort options are limited to specific metadata fields >>I want to set created day, reminder time, note ... Currently, the note list panel is view-only with no edit functionality
  8. Use the Legacy Product https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  9. Both enex and html export exclude the note-id My solution is to append the note-id (and other metadata) to the note contents
  10. I use html format for my backups imho It's superior because the html notes are read-able by any browser app enex export is not read-able unless imported to Evernote (or some other app) >>it keeps the links intact between HTML notes Please explain - afaik both enex and html export correctly maintain the links (evernote:///view/...)
  11. Evernote's note format is enml; basically html My data backups include a weekly export in html format For the most part, this is an exact match to the Evernote notes >>I have some web clippings and such that look like a hot mess Same here; the clippings are also a mess in Evernote Evernote handles basic html code well; not so well the complex code used on some web pages For an exact match, use a different format - screenshot, web archive, ...
  12. afaik There's no way to search the Trash It's not a good practice to use the Trash for archive storage My practice is to leave the notes in place, flagged with tag:!Archive I also prefix titles and tags with "x" so they sort to the bottom of lists
  13. Evernote's note format is enml; basically html Note attachment files are maintained in native format More than the note format, there's also a concern about the note location Evernote stores the note in a proprietary database structure instead of an OS file folder >> choose their own sync (e.g. Dropbox, Gdrive, Onedrive etc.) My backups included a weekly full export in html format - my notes can be accessed in an OS file folder
  14. Have you reviewed the Filterize Activity Log to see what actions are being processed?
  15. What is the "former arrangement" For my Basic account, my device selection is 1. Web 2. Mac The heavy lifting (like export) is done on the Mac As @gazumped posted, cloudHQ is a cloud solution for data backup
  16. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  17. Stack operations function in the Notebook panel, not in the sidebar
  18. "Show as attachment" is an option for various file formats I don't recall it as an option for images
  19. In your Evernote account settings Revoke access to the Filterize service,
  20. Agreed, you're accessing the correct account Were you able to get Evernote Legacy working on your Mac? This would be easier than troubleshooting the new Version 10 product Are the notebooks also missing? Were these originally set up as Local Notebooks?
  21. There are request forums and users can vote; the vote button is at the top left corner of the discussion Example: https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/forum/304-general-feature-requests/
  22. Renaming is done in the Notebook panel, not in the sidebar Click on the notebook icon to open the Notebook panel This is where you right-click on a notebook or click on the ... at the right side of the panel
  23. OCR is also supported by some scanner apps I use a stand-alone app; PDF OCR X
