  1. The Tasks feature comes and goes for me with Evernote/Mac I'm guessing a blip in the rollout Matrix
  2. I moved the discussion to the General Discussions forum Import Folder is a feature of the Evernote Legacy (Windows) product It's missing in the Evernote v10 product, but we've been told it's to be implemented "soon" Mac users continue to have an Import Folder using the MacOS Folder Actions feature
  3. Imho Any update should result in the "date updated" being changed fwiw I prefix the note titles with the subject date, for example 2021-06-20 Receipt [Groceries] ...
  4. As to the search question, to generate the "To Pay" list, search arguments would be notebook:Invoices tag:to-pay -tag:paid intitle:Grande Actually, I would replace the notebook with a tag tag:Type-Invoices tag:to-pay -tag:paid intitle:Grande
  5. Can you add more details to "not working" What is the file size; the Evernote limit is 200MB What method are you using to import the file?
  6. I use the raw search grammar as documented at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313828 I type the parameters into the search box; for example notebook:aaaaaa intitle:Grande When online, searches are run on the server using the server search engine and server search index Your screenshot shows you're offline so the search is run on your device, using your device search engine and device search index
  7. Adding a notebook hierarchy requires - a database update (notebook parent field) - update of the software A significant undertaking, but not "from scratch" Evernote has already experience this process when they added the notebook stack field >>it seems you're either a hierarchy person or a tag person I'm a tagger I also make use of the hierarchy installed in the tag feature Evernote has designed Tags as the primary organization tool; and Notebooks for other purposes
  8. Just to be clear, I'm referring to no change to the in-app link I don't use the web link The in-app link functions within Evernote on all platforms and from external apps
  9. Evernote currently has two products; Legacy and v10 Both products use a common datatabase on the Evernote servers
  10. I'm not experiencing broken links from moving notes >>why two links?... Just settle on one and use it everywhere. That would be great btw the links also have to function from external apps
  11. Thanks for the search information I need to be able to search the new task entities and access the new fields (title, due-date, reminder-date, ...)
  12. I actually do work with a daily journal note/dashboard It's created daily from a template and sets up my plans for the day In addition, I create separate journal notes throughout the day The complete journal for the day is generated by a saved search; tag;!Type-Journal and the date
  13. I don't need a dedicated task application I'm able to manage my task management using Evernote's generic organization features The new task features in Evernote are interesting However more development is required before I'll consider switching
  14. It's safe to say it's the "beginning of the end" for the Evernote Legacy product Evernote still continues with the Version 10 product on various platforms The mobile (IOS) and web platforms are functional for me, in some ways an improvement The desktop (Mac) platform is still missing critical features The Linux platform is promised, but still outstanding
  15. Search reminderOrder:* additional search attributes are reminderTime and reminderDoneTime
  16. I use Apple Calendar, but only for event based entries It would be quite cluttered if I added my tasks I prefer to view my tasks in a Gantt view >>having to copy and paste between EN and the calendar I have this automated with scripting (Applescript with Evernote Legacy on a Mac) Third party Cronofy is an automated solution; it functions with reminder date I use a spreadsheet for the Gantt view
  17. Personally, I encrypt my sensitive data before storing in Evernote Local note storage is optional; the master version of our data is stored on the servers in the cloud On my Mac - Attachments like pdfs are stored in OS file folders, with the extension removed A separate folder for each note - Note text is stored in plain text, combined in a sigle file .sql file
  18. I like the idea of task and reminder data being generic, to be applied at either the note level, or task level within the note Personally, I work with tasks as separate notes At the note level, I'm able to make use of the Tag feature I store the task data in the Reminder feature (due date, completion status/date) >>a half-baked thing I can search on reminder data; I need task data added to the search grammar
  19. To date, Evernote's paid features are bundled at the Premium account tier Premium users are not "charged more money" for specific features
  20. We don't get a numeric sort - this is a character sort To get your desired sequence, use the same length of characters for each number 01, 02, 03, ... 10, 11, 12, 13, ... for example 01 title... 02 title... 03 title... . . 10 title... 11 title...
  21. Use some other identifier as a prefix We know "#" is excluded from the search index; other suggestions are "_" (underscore) "z"
  22. For those of us not familiar with Day One, can you identify the menubar items Personally, I store my journal notes using the generic filing features provided by Evernote
  23. I moved the discussion to the forum for General Discussions / Productivity My concept would be individual notes for each lesson/experience These would be categorized using tags, title, dates, etc. and can be tied together with summary/overview notes, like daily planner notes The summary/overview notes can be auto generated, and would include links to the individual lesson/experience notes Evernote's search feature provides an easy tool to generate summary lists For example, by date, subject, etc. My note titles are composed with a standard that provides complete information (date type [description] keywords) I use a script to enforce/generate this standard title
  24. Evernote has no support for "folders and subfolders" We are provided Notebooks and Tags and can emulate folders with the notebook/tag tree structures
