  1. Actually I don’t care what Windows does. It is implement as it is, and there are reasons why it is implemented that way. A action on a note is documented as an update. If you want a change, ask EN via support ticket or feedback.
  2. Good that you are enthusiastic - however for a single user, the concept of spaces makes no sense at all. Spaces are meant to define areas of data access. By allocating different users to a space, access to data is granted - and can easily be revoked again. It is all about different users. You can ask for single features - use the feedback function in the clients.
  3. All official EN integrations are listed on the EN website. WeChat is NOT listed. Whoever offers this integration, go ask them.
  4. There seems to be an issue, and from what I hear it is not resolved yet. EN released a support document that shows a workaround: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/217930798 Not really a solution, but at least a way to save content otherwise lost (No, not good at all).
  5. When nobody posted for more than a year now, I would not expect this issue to be wide spread. When it happens next time, I would jot down what I did (change to which app, last action in EN, system situation, network quality, whatever may be helpful), save the activity log and then contact support. Use the same device where it happened and send the activity log when asked.
  6. For me it is not clear what is meant by „perfectly formatted“. There are different way of formatting, the legacy client can be used, the v10 client, there are different elements etc. If the formatting is altered, I would check if the content is altered as well. And in general (and if on a subscription) I would contact support about it.
  7. In this case I would ask you to contact support. The forum is user2user, and likely we could only reproduce the same observation.
  8. Fix, fix, fix 🪄 - fixed ! No ? 😱 Maybe it is because in the forum you just reach other users. 🤷‍♂️ To reach EN, issue a support ticket.
  9. Why … don‘t you ask support ? Login problems are often difficult to solve without access to the log files (and no, we don‘t want and read log files here, we are other users).
  10. Since there are places where you can downvote as well, it probably is a word worth using.
  11. Have you reported the issue to support yet ? Posting in the forum is fine for other users, but only support tickets will trigger a corrective action.
  12. Are all system settings enabled ? MacOS settings, Security, Privacy, tab Screen Recording.
  13. Not looking good - last exit support, I think. Wish you luck.
  14. I would check in account settings, personal settings the autofiling option. It is for emails officially, but maybe it has an influence on other elements as well. I have it turned off.
  15. As I see it, nobody „admitted“ anything - this is an open forum, not a tribunal. We were just informed - based on a blog post from the EN CEO in January - that the dev team is still working on something. If a working dev team is a situation you can‘t live with, then just quit. It is your own decision where to put your money. EN made it with the current syncing method since it launched in 2008. The served some hundreds of millions of users with this syncing concept. If they want to take it a step further: Fine with me. There are methods of syncing use by other apps that would help to solve some pending issues, and I think nobody is against an improvement here and there. At least I know where my subscribers fee is put to work. If you will be still with the service when it launches: Up to you …
  16. Currently I am on a visit, the local internet connection only has a sluggish 24Mbps down / 4 Mbps up. My EN on iOS is still snappy and responsive, on all devices. No further ideas for you, ask support: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  17. When I attach an unknown file format, it will show as a file, but no more. When I select it, I get the options to download the file from the note. Either by the download arrow (bottom right), or via the 3 dot menu (bottom left). The picture was taken from the iOS client on my iPad. This should be possible for you as well, even if the file is corrupted and contains only random bit noise. But to see if this is the case, downloading to the desktop and trying to open it there is worth a try. If it opens, and shows content, it is at least not completely corrupted. The possibly widest range of picture file formats on Windows knows the little app Irfan View. It is sort of a Swiss knife for pictures and to a lesser extend video files. Even the remotest and unusual picture formats - Irfan can read and convert it.
  18. There was no solution posted. You can try support, if you are a subscriber. In any other case: To me this looks like something is blocking the Evernote.com website. This may happen because of local internet restrictions, for example by a company firewall. Or by restrictions imposed on a national network. It can be as well that security software you are running yourself is blocking access. You can try from another network (like in a coffee shop) if the same problem exists. In some cases it was possible to connect after starting a VPN-tunnel to another country (like to an exit point in the US or Europe). If the problem is your own security software, both solutions will not work. In this case disable the software to see if the connection is then possible.
  19. If you have been on Free up to now (which I take from the upload limit you were hitting, maybe you said so as well), you had a monthly upload limit of 60MB. That is - if you used it up to the last byte every month - a yearly upload of 720MB. The upload limit of the smallest subscription you can currently get is 10GB. This means you could upload the content of 12 years of fully consuming a Free upload, not missing a single month in just one month, and still have some legroom left. Trip Mode would have been an option before, but after it synced now, it would mean to tap the waterhole after the kitten fell into it.
  20. The database file is located in the user directory ~/Library/Application Support/Evernote . How-Ever: You can‘t restore a single note. You can restore the full set of all notes - but there may be severe side effects, like overwriting data on the server with older copies of the data brought in via TM - or just the opposite, overwriting the imported data with server content. Personally I would use this option only as my last resort - my VERY last resort. Before this I would think about upgrading to Personal. The downside in your case is you can‘t do it for a month only. Once upgraded, your Plus status is permanently lost, leaving as options to continue on Personal, or downgrade to Free. This makes the decision more costly than for a Free user who just needs to fix something with a short sting into Personal. On the other hand: If you mix up your cloud data, it may cost you an enormous amount of time and effort to heal the outcome. Like my grandma used to say: Leave that decision for another day (maybe).
  21. Already answered, solved since the beginning: Create the contact card by scanning the BC. Open that note, place the cursor, choose the camera, scan the backside. Scan whatever you want - it will be added to the note, as will be any text (contact notes …), audio files, drawings, whatever. EN will even make the backside searchable. It will not extract information. The contact note is a note, you can do anything you want. And if you searched the forum first, you would probably have found the answer yourself.
  22. To raise a ticket: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  23. You will run out of notebooks, but before you will loose oversight. Working notebook only (or even primarily) is against the organizational concept of EN. As always it can be done, but it is neither efficient nor safe for the future, with growing volume and complexity of your data. Maybe search in the web for GTD Getting Things Done to get some ideas. If you feel better by notebooks, just go ahead, try how far it takes you. There is always a rainy weekend to reorganize.
  24. Tag:IndexNote added to the search term would do the job, if the tag is named IndexNote. You can even make it a saved search and create a shortcut, and if it is one of the first shortcuts (say the fourth), call it by typing ctrl/cmd - 4 . Then just add the search term, and hit enter.
