  1. Files are already "embedded" in notes. We need better inline display
  2. I'm content with the features delivered in the Legacy product I know the markdown crowd want a note format option For myself, collapsable outlines and link/anchors within contents edit: The Search Feature supporting full boolean syntax The mobile/web platforms need feature parity with the desktop platforms for example multi-select and merge
  3. Clicking the column heading works for me in top list view I can also click the sequence icon and click on the the Date created field A second click changes the direction
  4. The latest Legacy product version can be downloaded at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote This version does not auto-upgrade
  5. The in-app links (evernote:///view/...) will continue to work Of course, they will open in the Evernote app - I won't be deleting the app for a long time The web links will continue to work Of course, they will opening at the Evernote web site - I won't be deleting by data or account for a long time The links also contain the Evernote note-id (..../ce781d76-f738-4ae6-8cc5-23c9315ae785) Using a script on my Mac, I have note-id appended to the note-contents I can locate notes using a text search
  6. Personally, I have a list of must-have features The Version 10 product is not an alternative if those features are missing I have already verified my notes and workflow can be moved
  7. This is not a support action Change the subscription level in your account settings
  8. Basic account Limits documented Here You will be able to access all your notes, but not allowed to edit oversize notes
  9. Most companies don't release incomplete beta versions of software to the general public
  10. I'm a longtime Evernote fan, and am currently using the Evernote Legacy product on a Mac The product is working well for me imho The Version 10 product is a work-in-progress and not ready for general use
  11. -tag:xyz works for me Please post your exact search. My example is tag:* -tag:xyz
  12. I've seen no evidence that Evernote is interested in mining our data. >>Tell me I'm being paranoid. Could never happen. I don't think it's possible for Evernote to change existing TOS for this without notification and allowing account closure
  13. Scannable works well for me, generating pdfs of scanned images It's integrated with Evernote and generates pdfs No OCR, but It's free
  14. I think this more the immediate focus than "valuation" The first step is to simplify/unify the delivery mechanism i.e the client code base. After this is completed, we'll see the implementation of features (unique selling point)
  15. I'm still confused on the "valuation" In terms of "growing the userbase", this is already accomplished (over 200 million users)
  16. I think we're seeing different front-end interfaces; desktop, mobile, web
  17. I prefix my tag names to reflect the hierarchy, so !Work and !Work-Agenda This also allows a search of all work notes, for example search tag:!Work*
  18. Offline notebooks continue to fail for me The download ran longer, but never finished Now the app aborts continuously after a few minutes The only solution is to delete and reinstall Support ticket #3241104
  19. There's no support for Folders Instead, Evernote provides two metadata fields: notebooks and tags For visual hierarchy, use the notebook/tag trees in the sidebar
  20. I'm thinking most people use multiple devices (desktop and mobile) This can be addressed in the cloud, except when offline access is required
  21. I prefer prefixing tagnames with a special character !?#.... Unfortunately Evernote drops special characters in the text search index
  22. I'm using the Evernote Legacy product and have no problem exporting my data Installation at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  23. The .PDF is currently embedded in the Evernote database On, my Mac I can right-click the PDF and it will be exported to a temporary folder for access by other services I think you'll have a problem with Google Docs If I recall correctly, the file must be stored on Google Drive You will need to transfer the PDF from the temporary folder to Google Drive
