  1. I couldn't say why they is a limit of 50 versions but I can't imagine why that would be a significant limitation. I rarely have need to go back more than two versions.
  2. Yes, but that doesn't help as the person is typing. But it would be a useful way of the OP potentially diagnosing what is happening.
  3. THere's no evidence to support an intentional block on v8 on Android 10 devices. Indeed, there would be no reason to to do that solely with Android 10. I'd expect a similar issue with Android 11 as well. Many others who have tried v10 (and therefore must have at least Andoird 10) have reverted to Evernote v8. Unfortunately since v8 is no longer supported if it doesn't work for you then there will be no solution.
  4. I don't experience this issue at all and I use ellipses extensively. However, one issue with the note editor is that you cannot see the underlying formating code. I sometimes find hat some text I am typing picks up a formatting style or link that was previously in some text. Typically the style or linked text has been removed but the code/format/link is still present in the text. I type away and find that the text I'm typing picks it up. This is particularly common when I've either copied and pasted text from Word into a note or used the web clipper to capture some text. It can also arise when typing after some encoded text - for example I have a web link in the text. I instert a space after the link and type something such as an ellipsis and the link get picked up highlighting the added text. I'd say that this is not common to ellipses but is a text formatting issue. Can you describe with a little more detail how you can recreate the issue including how the original note content is created. Do you get this issue in, say, a new note which you have just typed text into rather copying and pasting from elsewhere?
  5. Since the report is of an issue with the web client your only option would be to log out, remove all cookies and cache content relating to Evernote and log back in. If you still have an issue (and I fear you will) then your only option is to work with support or wait for a new release of Evernote for web. Another possibly speedier option would be to stop using the web browser and switch to the desktop application. THat does offer some additional options should the issue stil not be resolved.
  6. The Amazon app store is quite limited with the apps on offer. If you wish to use more apps you can install the Google Play Store. Your favourite search engine will offer you the solution. I haven't read anything about Evernote not being available on Fire tablets but it will certainly not support v10 for the time being in the same way that versions of Android prior to Android 10 do not support the new Evernote. Choosing a Fire tablet ensures that you limit your choices since it uses a break away from Android.
  7. My staged roll-out arrived in less than 12 hours - it was available when I woke up this morning.
  8. How's this... Use the File | Export as PDF menu option... This is the note titel and the text that followed. No other data included...
  9. I don't know. Why not use the Feedback option in the new apps and suggest it...
  10. I don't find that the staged roll-out always works on Windows desktop. If I haven't received it in a week then I would download the program from https://evernote.com/download and manually update.
  11. THis can be a configuration issue. Use File | Sign Out and choose to remove your data from the device. When you log back in the data will be reconstructed and you might find the widget issue is solved.
  12. I'm told that if, instead of cancelling the advert, you first accept the offer and then cancel that should get rid of the upgrade advertising.
  13. If so ensure you delete %AppData%\Evernote and %LocalAppData%\Programs\Evernote or use an application like Revo Uninstaller to ensure you get rid of all hang over files.
  14. That would do it. There are a number of functions that, probably, rightly require a login when you have passcode enabled. I don't so don't have this challenge. I reckon my device security should be sufficient. YMMV
  15. Sorry, don't you hate it when you have an issue and someone else comes along and says it works just fine for me... Sadly, for you, the camera widget does exactly what you would want. Snaps the photo and I click save and into Evernote it goes. I have found, once or twice, that Android app updates can 'break' things. I would suggest, if you haven't already done so, to uninstall the app and then reinstall. That has fixed minor issues like this for me previously.
  16. Got it The drag and drop stuff from Evernote v10 is dysfunctional and has been all along. To keep your old workflow you have, as you have discovered, to use Legacy. What seems to be trivial may have all sorts of complications in the background or there may be other issues with higher priority in the requirement to fix.
  17. @emmabee I'm not clear just how your workflow proceeds. I, too, scan invoices etc into Evernote and this is working just fine for me with v10. I think that many of the issues that we face are connected to the fact that we think the workflow will be the same as the Legacy route. I've learned to adjust my expectations and now find most of my ways of working have settled. For sure they aren't exactly what I used to do but they are close enough. The Evernote branded ScanSnap scanners were out of date before Evernote v10 and there has been a long-standing recommendedation to update the firmware. Evernote v10 with its green elephant does need that update. I think you will find more discussion of this in the Scanner discussion area.
  18. I wonder if you have something odd inside your Windows preferences. Because I get exactly what I infer you require. I double click, or choose right-click Open, and Acrobat opens containing the PDF. For me, Save As is a separate menu itme on right-click. You could do the standard Quit and reboot the PC or, more likely, completely uninstall Evernote 10, ensure that the data and program directories are deleted then reinstall and let Evernote rebuild itself.
  19. The semi-colon would be a bad thing to include in a tag since it is used in search syntax. So, taking your examples I would anticipate search confusion since Evernote will likely be attempting to parse Sales: as an operator like tag: So limit your special characters to those that don't have other use or meaning.
  20. If everything is OK in the web client then that suggests that the server side data is OK. Since the total uninstall with the deletion of the data and program folders hasn't resolved this I am stumped. This has been a good solution for almost everyone who has experienced the issue. Since you continue to experience the same thing on a different Windows PC with a clean install it suggests an account issue or, I suppose, something relating to your Internet connection such as cacheing at the provider. But that's really a guess which I'm not really thinking is the case. I don't think removing the tasks will do the stuff BUT you could make things easier for yourself if you moved all the notes containing tasks into a new notebook then export that notebook as an ENEX file. After the export you could delete the tasks and see what happens. Then you could import the notebook with the task connected notes to recover them. If you had only deleted the tasks then you'd need to move the notes they were in to the Trash before restoring from the ENEX file.
  21. My habit is to right click and select open which does what you would expect.
  22. For you... Many users are successfuly using tasks. As already noted, a support ticket would be the way forward.
  23. I suspect a Windows issue that needs to be addressed. I think my notifications only started working after I did a Windows repair-in-place for an unrelated issue with Windows updates.
  24. I had to enable Evernote notifications in Windows settings to have them appear in the Windows. Win+i then search for notification. Scroll down and turn on Evernote. This is a Windows issue rather than Evernote.
