  1. There's is no formal method of archiving notebooks. I use two methods. Sometimes I export the notebook as an ENEX file and save it on a disk drive. I then delete the notebook from inside Evernote. For other notebooks I add them to a stack I call xxArchive. In this case the notes remain in Evernote and can still be searched but are out of sight. It depends what you need.
  2. Can guarantee that this isn't on the agenda anytime soon.
  3. Try the evernote-backup project on Github. It has a Linux application.
  4. I think inside the Windows settings. You'll have to go to some Windows support forums for help with Windows.
  5. I've been relieved by the ability to ignore an increasing number of contributors whose efforts I find unpleasant or who simply don't give me any joy. I hope anyone who finds my input unhelpful will do the same to me.
  6. I get reminders via the Android app and the desktop for tasks and note reminders. I've never had reminders by Email. As I recall it isn't solely a setting in Evernote. I had to be sure that the OS notifications were correctly enabled for Evernote.
  7. Some older versions of software including early version of v10 are no longer supported. This error would be be generated if the older software was being used.
  8. Personal is the basic paid plan. Professional the higher prices plan. So if you downgrade to Personal then you are still on a paid plan.
  9. You already posed this question in another sub-forum. Please avoid duplicate posts. You'll find a response in the other thread...
  10. You have already been upgraded to the Personal plan so, if you allow the renewal to go ahead, you will automatically renew at the new rate. If you don't wish to do that then you should cancel your current plan in the app store. THat should then automatically drop to the Free tier in February. That will give you six or seven weeks to make a plan for your future use of notes. If you drop to free you will be able to access your existing notes as an archive. Perhaps transferring notes to your new solution as and when you need them. The least painful solution is likely to be continuing with the Personal plan. Otherwise there are many suggestions in these forums of services you could use.
  11. I believe it does/should. You really need to check with ScanSnap support. I'm not a great lover of the Home software. It does what is needed but I find it intrudes into the scanning process more the than the Manager software did. I switched bowing to the inevitable.
  12. You add a device by logging in through it. So open the Mac app, log in and it will be added. Be sure, first of all, that you only have one device listed before adding the Mac app.
  13. The Trash is normally located as the last item in the sidebar. I notice that you are using the software from the Apple store. You may have better success running the direct download from evernote.com/download First uninstall the store version, then download the direct version and see how that works for you. It may resolve other issues you didn't realise that you had since the Store versions are limited because of the way they are installed.
  14. The response you quoted is the standard, automated boilerplate content. Generated by the computer, it isn't the reply of a human. It will be interesting to see what response you receive. I think I can guarantee you won't get a partial refund. You may be offered an extension to your contract period. You might even get a full refund but that seems less likely.
  15. Or the software was never going to be able to be supported by the latest OS updates. The old software was announced as unsupported over three years ago so, on this occasion, I think it is just one of those things that has been expected since 2020. It just took a long time coming.
  16. It was definitely like that. Perhaps the OP updated his/her post
  17. I would recommend the evernote-backup GitHub project which has a Linux application to export your account as a set of ENEX files.
  18. You might need to look for help on a Google Sheets help page
  19. The broken smart filing in the web clipper is will known. We don't know if, or when, it will be fixed. Even when it worked it was rather random in its selections.
  20. I don't find AI Cleanup useful but this error would arise if you have a note at for Cleanup on one device but then edited on another. I'd close the web browser or move to another note or even the Home view. That should end the Cleanup. Or has been reported by others in small numbers.
