  1. Thanks for the above tip, I got locked out of my iPad Evernote, and changing one of my account details and then restoring it to what it was, enabled me to open Evernote on the iPad. However for hours, even after this, I was unable to share to Evernote. I got the message "Session Required".. So I filed to Apple Notes instead. EN seems very unstable at the moment. Even after clearing my cache in Chrome, the notes in the webapp are in different notebooks compared to other platforms. The tasks do not sync and I have to manually make things consistent. At the moment, not a trusted system. Costing more time than it saves over the last three days. However, sharing to Evernote is now working again. I wonder what "Session Required" means.
  2. Thanks @Mike P, worked a treat. Perhaps it will help with other odd things that have been happening. Yes, I was using Chrome on a MacBook.
  3. This morning I cannot work with the webapp. My tags page:is empty (though it counts the number of tags) and searches by typing in tag:whatever come up blank. And the sidebar shows zero notes - when I click on Notes I get a blank screen. Shortcuts which link to searches bring up the notes - usually. Fortunately the other platforms - phone, tablet and laptop, still work though sync is erratic. Does anyone know a way to make the webapp recover?
  4. Thanks all for suggestions Maybe I will try doing more of my task entry on the iPhone, separate from note updating. In fact maybe I will use the default task note more, as sometimes context is not so important.
  5. Thanks for responding. Actually I was using it on my MacBook, an M3 Air. Tasks seems completely broken there, the Today section at present is showing yesterdays tasks, and Tomorrow is showing tasks as due today. Marking off daily repeats on my iPhone does not go well either (the date changed to today from yesterday but it is still crossed out and marked done). My iPad is not syncing either (notes also have the spinning circles). My Internet is very fast at the moment so that is not the problem. So I thought the best option was to use the webapp, but it is still having problems checking off some tasks. I think I will just delete tasks which are not working and make new ones, and stay with the web version for a bit. Maybe this glitch will go away.
  6. I am using tasks more seriously now, and am finding I cannot rely on synchronisation to happen. Are there any best practices to make it work? Should I only use the web version? But today, for example, I tried to tick off a task on the web version and it kept coming back unchecked. Is there a particular way I should reset things which might make it work? I want to do everything, including tasks, in Evernote.
  7. Excellent idea, thanks!! I found that Evernote removed those symbols if I used them in a saved search, but using a different rare symbol, like this: ` (next to the left-shift on my Mac) works in saved searches too. I have updated a saved search accordingly 🙂
  8. This bug is now marked as solved in the bug tracker, but it is not. I don't know if it ever will be. Supposedly, only two percent of customers use tags. I can only assume the users at BS do not use tags either. The full stop trick works but messes up the display, as each full stop in each note is highlighted in yellow. I am relieved I can identify the filtered notes these days, so for me Evernote remains much the most useful product, though because of oddities like this I can only recommend it with reservations.
  9. It might not be best programming practice, but if the coders appended a space character and a full stop to each search string, this problem would instantly go away. Meanwhile i add it manually my saved searches, which is an interim solution. --- Updated: I spoke too soon! Even this trick is no longer working, so today I am manualy picking out the tagged items. @Federico Simionato, I love the new features but here is a very basic building block of databases which could do with a fix. Updated: Later in the day ... now it seems to be working, even without the full-stop trick. I don't understand, but assume it is being fixed ...
  10. I come on here most often if there is a glitch, but on balance it is getting better, and quickly. I am enjoying the faster synch. Inserting links to notes with @ is nice, and calendar integration is a part of my daily routine in the mornings. And yes, I likewise keep referring to my Daily Tasks tab.
  11. My widget is still there, but I would like to know how to use the Siri commands which apparently work again with Evernote.
  12. I have just reproduced it, and the full stop trick still solves it. Of course we should not have to do this, but it seems to be a team effort, developer with users, moving forward.
  13. There is an outstanding bug which is frustrating. But a work-around has been found that usually works. Add a full-stop to the search, preceded by a space. This can be hardcoded into the saved search. So your search would be what is inside the arrowheads below. -->tag:volleyball .<-- Hope this helps.
  14. Just do it for the notes which cannot be moved, for me it is an occasional issue, and affects just a very few notes.
