  1. 🤠 hi gazumped. Thanks for your reply. No. I temporarily selected that option. I see what it does. That is not the problem that I am having. Please see the attached video. 1. In the Shortcuts panel, I show the Shortcut called "!! Desktop". Then I scroll down to show the actual tag called "!! Desktop", which is imbedded under the tag "When". 2. After selecting the "!! Desktop" Shortcut, I create a new note. When I do, the Shortcut list automatically scrolls to the actual tag "!! Desktop tag". Before the last update, it just stayed on the "!! Desktop" Shortcut. 3. When I move the note to another notebook (from "Inbox" to "Cabinet"), the Shortcut list automatically scrolls to the actual tag "!! Desktop tag" again. Before the last update, it just stayed on the "!! Desktop" Shortcut. 4. Then when I drag the note to the "Tim" tag, the Shortcut list automatically scrolls to the actual tag "!! Desktop tag" again. Before the last update, it just stayed on the "!! Desktop" Shortcut. Like prior to the last update, I prefer that this automatic scrolling does not happen. What do you think? Thanks, Tim (a.k.a. 2. I am using EN Windows (6.19.2.8555 (308555) Public (CE Build ce-62.3.7750). My Shortcut list is in left panel mode. I have 100+ tags, so the Shortcut list scrolling bar is active. Since the last EN update, the Shortcut list jumps to another part of the list after I drag a note to a specific tag label. Before the update, it used to just assign the tag to the note and the Shortcut list would not jump to another position in my list of Shortcuts. Now, it still assigns the tag to the note: but it also scrolls the Shortcut list to another part of the Shortcut list. Before writing this, I uninstalled EN, deleted the database, then reinstalled EN and created a new database. Problem still exists ... help me please : )
  3. Using Windows 10 / Chrome / Gmail, Evernote Web Clipper still has issues: 1. When I open Chrome, Gmail auto opens in a tab. When I try to use the Web Clipper, it does nothing. I must first refresh to Gmail tab, then that seems to wake up the Clipper. 2. As originally reported, Web Clipper still sometimes processes the previous email I clipped. For example, let's say my bank emails 2 separate payment confirmation. The 1st email clips correctly: however, 2nd email clips with the 1st email's info. 3. Today I noticed that when I use Web Clipper on an email sent to me (which was a reply to a previous email), it clips the previous emails: but ignores the newest reply in the email. 4. On some emails that appear to get completely clipped, they get a funky format with the text is long unreadable boxes. Since my original posting, I did a clean reinstall of Windows 10, Chrome, Evernote, etc. Unfortunately, the problems originally reported still exist. For now, I will just forward emails that I want in Evernote using my Evernote email address. It takes a few seconds longer for an email to appear in Evernote (compared to Clipping): however, it seems to be working complete and correct. I prefer using the Web Clipper: so hopefully, the problems will be resolved soon.
  4. Hi Pierre, I just finished a Windows 10 clean install on my laptop. I am using the latest Evernote Web Clipper version 7.7.0 In the coming days, I will test how it: then post an update. Thanks, Tim
  5. About a month ago, Gmail had a new update (using Chrome in Windows 10). Since then, Web Clipper sometime processes the previous email I clipped. For example, let's say my bank emails 2 separate payment confirmation. The 1st email clips correctly: however, 2nd email clips with the 1st email's info. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks : ) Tim Richmond Evernote Member Since December 16th, 2009
  6. Do you want selective notebook sync on EN desktop... same as "Download selected notebooks" on EN mobile ? If you do, reply to this so the EN developers know a bunch of us folks want (actually need) this capability. SSD drives make PC storage same as a smart phone... makes sense to be able to select which notebooks to download. I VOTE YES
  7. I previously reported in the forum 'New Evernote for Windows, v6.0 Beta': "Sometimes when I single click on a "shortcut" to select it, the "shortcut" disappears: it's happened to various "shortcuts". Not a huge problem: I just go down into my "tags" and create a new "shortcut". Has anybody else experienced this?" I have since upgraded to '6.0.4.1688 (301688) Public': the problem still exists.
  8. Thanks Peter. For a long time (in previous versions): I would copy Regular Copy Note Links into Office docs. Even when I would click on the link in Office Online, it would first open an Evernote tab in Chrome then jump automatically to my PC's Evernote client and select the note I wanted. Sometimes when the Evernote tab in Chrome would open, I would get a message something like 'do you want to open the note online or using your Windows client?' Is that no longer going to be the case with this new version of Evernote?

  10. Thanks for the guidance. From my PC's Excel app, it takes me to the Evernote Windows client: but when I open the Excel Online and click on the link, I get this message "Sorry, we couldn't open this link. The link address may be invalid, or you may not have permission to open it." What do you suggest?
  11. I paste "Note Links" into Windows Office files. While using Evernote Windows client on my PC, when I click a link in Excel it opens the note in Evernote web (if I'm not logged into Evernote in Chrome, it still tries to open it there). I want it to open it in Evernote Windows client. It used to work like that... has something changed?
  12. Clean, fast, and enjoying new navigation options. A few day-1 comments: 1. I was hoping to be able to select which Notebooks to sync to my PC (similar to that capability on iOS). As PCs go from huge hard disks to SSD drives (mine is 128 GB), I really need that functionality. As a Premium customer, I'm allowed to upload 120 GBs each year: however, I cannot take advantage of that because my database wouldn't fit on my PC's SSD drive. 2. When I right click a note, the menu: * shows "Move Note to Trash" ~ why not simply name it "Delete"? * has "Present" (rarely used) at the bottom ~ I'd prefer "Tag Note..." at the bottom (use it many times daily) 3. I created an Ink Note: * it's pretty good actually (I use a DELL Venue Active Stylus on an HP Spectre x360 Convertible) * is there an eraser? * I pressed the "Shape" button, but it doesn't seem to do anything * my handwriting is very legible, but when I search it's as if Evernote hasn't scanned the note to recognize what I've written * I'm not able to edit this Ink Note on my iPad's EN app ... stay tuned, I'm sure I'll give some more feedback ps white UI is fine... turned down screen brightness and saving battery life
