  1. Bearing in mind this is a beta, and Evernote has said there is more to come... I can confirm your lack of parent/ child tags (I assume that's what you meant by "categories/titles") - all my tags are also in alpha order. What is weird is that instead of all the A's being sorted together, there are two completely separate indices for capitalized tags and low case - A - Z and then a - z. So not only do you need to remember the name of the tag, you also have to remember whether or not it had a capital... Couldn't find an alphabetizing rule that applies (surprisingly) but in my experience either capitalization is completely ignored in filing, or one level is filed in front of another - as in: and / And / astonomy / Astronomy. Y'don't get Uppercase filing followed by lowercase (or vice-versa)... Absolutely agree tag index handling needs a lot of work!!
  2. Hi. Try logging in to your account at Evernote.com and go to the subscriptions page. - https://www.evernote.com/subscriptions/manage Not sure if your Google Play settings will be accessible from there. It's easier to pay Evernote direct - if third party agencies are receiving the payment you're subject to any connection delays in getting the payment registered by Evernote. If that doesn't help see -
  3. Hi. It should be possible to create a template with tables on a desktop, and then edit/ add to the contents if you later create a new note from that template on the mobile...
  4. <Sigh> Wishful thinking? They're not. If that were true every competitor would be fighting for a share of the 225M existing user-base, and Steve Dotto would be suggesting we all run for the hills... https://youtu.be/XySApcmGZ8E
  5. Hi. There's no shortcut built into Evernote, but I use a 'text expander' app called Phrase Express that will insert a current date and optional time (amongst many other things) anywhere I choose.
  6. If you drag the alarm clock from the 'customize' menu onto the toolbar it will always be visible, and you'll see the date highlighted every time you view the note.
  7. Hmmn. Still confused - there's the alarm clock icon in the toolbar (if you don't currently have one, right-click just next to the three dots menu and choose customize toolbar) - that will show the date when you set it...
  8. Hi. Unless anyone has any better ideas I can only suggest that you set your preference to view inline, then sign out of Evernote and back in: then reset the preference for view as attachment and live with the restriction that you'll need to right-click the attachment to deselect 'as attachment' to deal with it inline. Its not possible (IMHO) to have the best of both worlds in this situation. You could also make use of external storage and save links rather than files in your stored notes so that the expanded versions don't get in the way...
  9. The toolbar in the main window, or the toolbar in the note? Creating a reminder for me is: create new note (one keypress) add subject / choose date and time / done. I agree its possible to create a new reminder directly in the mobile app, but AFAICS its exactly the same process...
  10. As a premium member you can report this directly to Support - if Evernote haven't yet found the cause of this sort of data loss, your additional input may be what they need...
  11. Evernote don't (usually) do pre-announcements. It's often more difficult to find out what's causing a problem (and there may be lots of 'causes') than it is to fix it once found. Of course it helps, if you're a subscriber, to report the issue to Evernote Support (which isn't us; mainly other users here...). Evernote can use the specific details of your report to improve their focus on what exactly is causing issues - and the number of reports they receive is also a good guide as to how painful this issue is for their users. Not to mention they can ask for more information, get hold of logs, try out fixes...
  12. Hi. The 'remember me' option requires cookies to work - you might have to adjust the security on your browser to allow cookies from Evernote at least. I use the desktop client so my Clipper login is permanent, unless I deliberately log out of Evernote; and I have a password manager (Bitwarden) though others are available - https://top5-passwordmanagers.com/ - so logging into anywhere is pretty seamless to me... maybe one keypress required.
  13. This link was recommended a while ago - I don;t know whether it still works... http://getgui.com/blog/windows/evernote-sticky-notes-error-411-length-required-on-request-activation-link-to-re-authorize-user-account-sync-notes/
  14. Ah. Firefox on Windows. Have you tried any other browsers?
  15. I see the mid-column display when I'm clipping, but if you look at the note once the page is captured I see the full-width text. Clipping view - Note view - ...and yes, I went to see Predator with my son today. We both enjoyed it in a purely visceral way. (Meaning brain off and watch the pretty explosions...). There is running. Lots and lots of running... ?
  16. There are three web clients at the moment - don't think documentation has caught up with any of them properly... ?
  17. Hi. This is a (mainly) user-supported forum, so the log file isn't necessarily going to mean a lot to us. Notes aren't stored on a mobile device, but get downloaded when you select them for edit. So your mobile device is probably working quite hard to drag down a huge text file, and holding all that data in memory apparently doesn't leave much in the way of performance to add to or change the note content. Is it possible to create a new note each day, or split the huge note into smaller chunks linked by tag or by title? Or even give that note its own notebook and split it into smaller notes in the same notebook? If editing smaller notes doesn't help your freezing problem you could try uninstalling Evernote/ restarting the device and reinstalling, but in general AFAIK most users aren't having a major problem with short notes.
  18. Hmmn. Using "D:" here without quotes will get you this unhappy face - ? - and this isn't Evernote code, it's an independent commercial forum. There seems to be some kind of international standard applying. Cap D however is the only letter of the alphabet affected - and it's Saturday I tried 'em all ?. It did lead to my finding out how to add emojis to my text with the Windows on-screen Touch keyboard, so I no longer need to mess around with :codes: Couldn't find any lists of emoji keyboard shortcuts - all the links I tried were about how to get to your virtual keyboard. As regards your actual question, I can only suggest you type inside a code block - the auto formatting seems not to work there... ✨??? Sorry ?
