  1. Hi. This is a (mainly) user-supported forum, so I'm afraid you won't get much enlightenment here. Chances are that if this is a simple fix, several other more complicated things have to be put in place before it can be scheduled - and it's maybe not as simple as you think to change a package that's in daily use by millions. Pretty sure this will get done, but Evernote will have to decide the timescale.
  2. Hi. This is a (mainly) user-supported forum and the Support team don't normally respond to individual enquiries anyway. Best you'll get is "we're aware of the issues but don't have a timescale for any fixes". Having said which - check out the blog and the recent video series: things are happening behind the scenes...
  3. Glad you found a fix. Thanks for posting the outcome!
  4. You might look at a browser extension called "getpocket" which will clip browser content (if that's how your PDF's are viewed) and allow highlighting and tagging. Pocket opens as a web page, so Evernote's Clipper (or straightforward copy/ paste) could then be used to 'clip' sections. May be too simplistic for your needs, but FWIW...
  5. Hi. You're saying that sending and receiving emails in Outlook is not working correctly when Evernote is installed? What happens if you uninstall Evernote and just use the web client?
  6. Hi. Pretty sure there's no option available. The mobile app doesn't use storage space as such - notes are downloaded on demand (unless you have some accessible offline) and the disk space used by your desktop isn't reported back (AFAIK) as part of a sync, so is inaccessible to either mobile or web. The only place to measure usage is actually on the desktop itself.
  7. Hi. I assume you're using the current web Beta, where the name explains part of the difference. Evernote is trying out a new editor on the web, hence the inconsistency. However you'll find that due to device and OS and design issues on different platforms there will probably always be differences in behaviour and presentation. If you need to see the same layout on multiple platforms, most of us go for a word processor document (which you can open on any device running the same WP software) or a PDF file or a JPG image. The difference between the PDF and the JPG being that PDF content appears as an icon in mobile and web, where a JPG is always fully visible.
  8. Windows actually has its own emoji keys - see https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/10762/windows-use-on-screen-keyboard for how to get to them. You get a keyboard icon in the system tray to the bottom right. Clicking that opens keyboard which (in the case of non touch-screens) will allow you to use a mouse to select characters. There's an emoji option on the keyboard, but I have no idea at present (working in Linux currently) whether these symbols are featured. There's also the Alt+<code> option which you may find will work for you... https://altcodeunicode.com/alt-codes-planet-moon-phase-astrological-symbols/ (AHK or Phrase Express would speed that up if necessary... ) Hope that helps.
  9. I'd go with @DTLow - I don't have a process to 'age' notes out of my account - it's useful (sometimes) to have very old contact or product information available for occasional searches. I will mark (tag) purchases and projects as COMPLETED when they get to that state, and I'll delete forever any reminders, notes or contact details that are no longer correct or have fallen out of date, but my database is pushing 50K notes and growing.
  10. Two choices: Link directly to the post (preferred) ...or you could just copy and paste the URL... http://cdn1.evernote.com/win6/public/Evernote_6.22.3.8816.exe
  11. In Evernote for Windows I just went for Help > Check for Updates and the existing app downloaded the update. The installation was a bit hit and miss, but that might just be my system...
  12. Hi does this help? https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004717-How-to-use-speech-to-text-to-dictate-notes
  13. Google Translate worked for me - I haven't tried the link method yet, but I plan to check it out. Thanks to @BEHA for that. My Dashboard doesn't link to Notebooks as such, but I select the notes I need for a particular activity - all the recipes / recent invoices / notes for project 'X' and create a ToC, then link to that. I can add more entries to that list with individual searches (actually I'm too lazy - I just tag the notes and let Filterize add them) - but either way, the list stays up to date, independently of whatever notebooks contain the actual notes involved. It would be possible to create an Index ToC for each notebook and simply link to that...
  14. Hmmn. Might be your Android version - I have Evernote 8.12.3 on Android 6 and the links work fine for me. I did find out the hard way that the new Web client doesn't (yet) support linked images - you get an image with the link shown below it.
  15. Hmmn. As I read it, you're actively using a free app as a word processor (which it was never designed to be) on several different operating systems. You could fix your problems by using a dedicated word processor that runs in all those environments and saving the output file to an Evernote note. I'm a subscriber and mainly use Word in Windows and LibreOffice in Linux and get all the layout results I need. That's not a 'work around' or a bug, it's recognising that at present, and possibly for the future, it may be impossible for Evernote to deliver the exact same graphics performance on very different platforms.
  16. Hmmn. If that really is the one that came out a few days ago, I can only suggest you raise a support ticket or post a feature request in the Clipper forums. I'm not a Mac user so someone else out there may have something more useful to contribute...
  17. Hi. There's a new Safari clipper going around - are you using that?
  18. AFAIK It's not an Evernote setting - not sure where the default app is assigned from. Suggest you check with your tablet service provider and the Android forums - when you find an answer, please share! If I can find one I'll share it back here.
  19. Hi. Web clipper is still working for me - also Win 10, using Vivaldi (Chrome) browser. Try exiting the browser app and restarting / removing and reinstalling clipper / restarting the computer?
  20. OK - Thread moved; @Dave-in-Decatur says this doesn't happen for him - are you doing the same thing? If you still have issues, does changing the version fix it? (As a subscriber you can get some Evernote Support if that helps...) 🙂
  21. So far, 11 votes in favour. This may not score very high on Evernote's priorities...
  22. Hi. Are you using the current beta of the web client? If so we can move your feedback to the correct forum and you can go to Settings to opt to change back to the previous version if you so wish... https://discussion.evernote.com/forum/638-web-client/
  23. No mass undo I'm afraid - if you have backups of your data you could restore one or more notes, but you'd lose changes; Note History on individual notes may show you the dates of any recent changes and would allow you to edit the created date back to whatever date you see in the history - unless there were several. You could easily tag all the notes that were created yesterday (that will include those notes that show yesterday's date incorrectly) and weed out those that were genuinely created then. What's left would be incorrectly altered notes - which I'd recommend you export to ENEX files (one for each notebook to which these notes are assigned). If you do speak to Support, that file might help them discover exactly what went wrong here.
  24. Hi again - the Evernote for Android App offers the flexibility of different stacks, notebooks and tags. You can have only one notebook, but the initial display defaults to 'All Notes' which is a list of titles, not a single note. It is possible to have a widget on your home page to save a new note quickly, or you could save a shortcut to one or more particular notes to open and edit it/ them.
