  1. If you're a subscriber you'll have access to Support (we're mainly other users around here) so it would be worth dropping them a line to see if they can help. https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  2. Hi. Unless I'm not understanding what you were looking for, I don't think any software has a 'custom' installation feature - my normal route to creating a custom shortcut is to copy or to follow the paths shown in the installed shortcut 'properties' window if dragging that shortcut to a different location doesn't work... As to reasons, the Forums are pretty much user2user so we don't have any insider knowledge - if you are a subscriber and have access to Support, you could feedback/ ask them...
  3. Hi. There's been a long-standing issue that some users receiving shares from others, cannot remove the share from their own account, even if the owner cancels the share from their end. If you're testing out the new EN with a free account and have binned your own note history, it would make sense to create a completely new account rather than spend time trying to engineer the issue. If you do take this route you'd need to remove your current email address from this account before deactivating it to create a new one - unless you have an alternate address you're happy to use. More details here - Deactivate your Evernote account
  4. Hi. Evernote doesn't have document layout options. You have two choices - Use a table - as in the good old days of basic websites; a two or three column table with give you options to left/ right justify an image and add text alongside and around it. Use MSWord - or any other word processor with layout possibilities. Create your artistic layout in the app and attach the output file to your note. Print the content to a PDF file and add that too if you need to see the content inline./
  5. Quietly eating popcorn in the corner over here...
  6. OK I'm intrigued... why? "Duplicate Notes" already exists, so in a pinch you could create a new notebook MyNotebook2 (the app won't allow you to have two notebooks with the same name, which would be... confusing) then select all the notes in MyNotebook1 and duplicate to MyNotebook2. But again why? You now have two copies of everything, and the chance that you'll alter one note in future, but then forget to alter its duplicate. If you want to share the notebook with someone, why not use 'share', or if you want to backup your notes, export that notebook to ENEX or HTML (or anything else available) and restore it completely if necessary.
  7. OK - I see now. Well, on the points you mentioned... (in no order...) Create import folders http://scansnap.fujitsu.com/global/evernote/index.html Local folders not coming back.
  8. As far as I know 2) is already back, 3) has viable workarounds and 1) is never going to happen. Your point being?
  9. Hi. I'd imagine (but can't confirm) that if you opened 6.25 and clicked "check for updates", you'd have the option to download the current version. You can certainly do so direct from the website. Either way installing v10 will initially disable 6.25.1 - but all is not lost; download the Legacy version 6.25.2 and install that to continue using both on the same device... though preferably not at the same time! https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  10. Hi. You posted into a years-old thread about the previous version of Evernote. It might be an idea to repost your suggestion as a feature-request in the appropriate current forums so others can vote to show their support...
  11. Technically known as a fault: please report to Support if you can...
  12. Join the club. I get that too. I think the internet had a meltdown. (And why, if that's the weekly status page, does it show July 9th as the most recent date?)
  13. Hi. I'm afraid most of your questions are unanswerable unless you have access to email support - this is a mainly user2user Forum and we're pretty much in the dark with details of how the new v10 operates. I do know there's no search reset available. If you can OCR a PDF locally it might be interesting to see whether a pre-processed PDF is shown differently to an Evernote OCR, but if you're seeing differences, you can only raise a support ticket and/ or revert to the Legacy app for PDF work...
  14. Hi. Evernote has already said that it will no longer support the older versions - its only focus is now v10. If you have access to the 8.13.3 APK you may want to keep a backup of that, and try out v10 on your tablet; or if you can browse comfortably try signing into Evernote.com in your browser.
  15. Hi. Best security protections described here... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004395487-What-to-do-if-you-suspect-unauthorized-access-to-your-Evernote-account
  16. Hi. I moved your post to the 'other' thread on this issue - have a look at the comments so far. If you have the leeway to submit a support ticket it might be a good idea..
  17. That would be Evernote Legacy for the time being... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Most Evernote competitors offer check boxes, but the user experiences tend to differ fairly widely. There's usually a free test version so though you could try some out...
  18. Not minimisng any difficulties, but surely it makes sense if you have any IT problem to do the basics of 'switch it all off.. switch it all back on again' - and if the regular first-aid doesn't help, submit a support ticket if you can, or check in here for assistance if we can. (We're mainly user 2 user around here...)
  19. Evernote are still in process of rolling out the new subscription levels, and they did say (I think) that we'd all be getting an individual email to explain how the new levels will affect us. You may find that as an existing customer you get some leeway - I'd suggest you wait until you hear more before taking any decisions...
  20. Hi. You posted twice, so I killed the other entry. This would appear to be a bug, not a feature request. Normally posts here show which subscription level you are, but today I get nothing. I am pretty sure though, that as a subscriber at any level, you should have access to email support. So let's start there - why do you say you can't create a direct request? Is nothing happening when you try to open a ticket? https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  21. Does seem to be the case - the 'upgrade' seems to be a slower package with slightly fewer features than we were used to...
  22. Erm... y'see it was like this - I opened the page and this big black bold 'professional' leapt out at me... I may have slightly missed the grey 'you are here' under personal. Sorry - more personal fact-checking required! (And maybe a tad less aggressive layout?...)
  23. Hmmn. If the price is your main concern though, it does look as though new subscribers get to pay rather more than the previous Premium offering. My account info shows me as a "Professional" user - all very flattering except 1) it's not quite twice my previous subscription and 2) I have (and need) no access to these wonderful new features - and am unwilling to upgrade to an app that is still - according to many users - rather slow and unreliable... Underwhelmed so far - but I'll wait for my email!
