  1. Weird - did you check to see if there's more than one defined Import Folder?
  2. Hi. I'm afraid free accounts don't get email support, and no-one gets callback support. We're mainly user 2 user here - you may find that you've inadvertently exceeded the device limit on your account, or that when you logged in you inadvertently created a brand new account. Try logging out and log back in carefully. Also see the pages linked below... Understanding the device limit I reset my password and don't see any notes in my account
  3. Hi. Take care to File > Exit Evernote - sign out properly - and the layout should be saved so that the app will restart from there next time.
  4. Hi. I'd doubt it, but have a look at 'text expander' apps - they can generate input from a keyboard shortcut that might fill the bill.
  5. Hi. For a quick fix, copy and paste your speech into a word processor file and use that to print the final version. The file will attach to your note so it's easily available. There's a possible option to install the Legacy Evernote app which has (slightly) better printing options, but for 'proper' layout a WP is always better.
  6. Hi. It's no big deal - Evernote registered your laptop as a new device rather than the 'same' one you used yesterday. Follow the unsync link and zap everything, then start over.
  7. Hi. Setting up something even semi-automated would require quite a bit of input from you. Various apps will connect Evernote with other services and vice-versa, so that it's possible to generate a note as a record of a diary entry or a 'to-do' item, or to start a note in Evernote that will prompt a diary entry or an email to another service. In no particular order, some of these apps are: Actiondesk / API Fuse / Automate.io / Chronify / CloudHQ / Elastic.io / Filterize / Huginn / IFTTT / Integromat / LeadsBridge / Microsoft Flow / Piesync / Workato / Zapier ... but to get something up and running quickly you might do better to create your ideal form in a word processor and save it as a PDF file, which you can then edit to include your specific comments on a visit. If you save a 'template' document for each client you can avoid typing the same individual details. Good luck!
  8. Hi. I'd recommend contacting Support - the only option I can see is to use the browser version of Evernote rather than the installed app. Evernote decides where the temporary note storage folder is kept...
  9. Hi. We're mainly user-to-user around here; don't think many (if any) Forum users are also developers...
  10. Hi. Which question? Browser macros? Wordpress? Jupyter? And why would Evernote spend time and resources integrating with other independent applications - is it worth it to the company to attract new users?
  11. Actually, a number have come back - which ones are you missing? You could simply step back to the last public version http://cdn1.evernote.com/win6/public/Evernote_6.25.1.9091.exe (remembering to disable looking for updates in Tools > Options) Or use the update that's meant to run alongside v10 so you can use both (just not at the same time...) https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  12. Yup - go to Tools > Options > Synchronisation and pick an interval. (And I apologise - it is possible to set 5 minutes as an option!)
  13. Hi. Lots of disadvantages to long diary notes - slow to load / eggs in one basket (one error loses all records) / etc Plus. Create a new note - comes with created date; add data and save in "Diary" file - sort in created date order. New day = new note. Saves entering any dates at all. Easier to find given entries, and 'automatic toc' is just a listing of those entries. Third-party add-in Filterize will keep that up to date for you if necessary. There's also a voting thread around for password protection, though unless you're keeping medical, banking or financial detail in your notes it seems overkill for a daily record...
  14. I'm fairly convinced that everyone is totally overthinking this. It's a badly thought out "coming soon" announcement that basically says: We're going to be adding new products / we won't charge you any more for the stuff you got / more to follow... So just let's wait for an actual fact to come along before we get carried away, huh?
  15. ...Maybe ask them? https://docs.cronofy.com/support/
  16. Hmmn. Evernote 6.25 will save changes to the EXB file every time they happen, but AFAIK the file is locked 'open' as long as Evernote is active on your system; so frequent timestamped updates shouldn't be happening unless you're quitting out of (File > Exiting) the app frequently. The database will sync back to the Evernote server regularly - you can set the frequency in Tools > Options - but I think the minimum interval is 15 minutes, not five. Many cloud storage services keep sequential backups of document files as they are changed, so that's probably where your multiple files come from, but I can't see why the file is seen as 'changed'. Not necessarily related, but do you also have v10 installed on your system?
  17. No, it's not normal. But how does your backup get to the cloud storage? Evernote doesn't have an auto-backup option, so there's presumably some third party software active there somewhere...
  18. Removing the tag doesn't seem to be one of my (very limited) super-powers - I flagged the thread for an Admin to review.. 🙂
  19. Hi. Swap the email addresses between two separate Evernote accounts
  20. It does seem to misread the room rather badly - lots of posts here and elsewhere have been commenting that trust in Evernote has been badly shaken - or lost. Here they are telling us there's more on the way. It's like they took their model from the film industry, generating interest in a sequel by teasing the starring roles and speculating on who will be the villain. Now we're all just wondering "what now?!" Hope they follow up with the details soon!
  21. - Maybe tempted into updating, if they haven't already... what could possibly go wrong? 🤕
  22. Given the events of the past several months I must confess I have a bad feeling about this, but at least there's a reassurance that prices will not increase. It does look as though there will be one or more subscription levels below Premium. Cross your fingers and hope for the best... 😣
  23. Hi. Not sure that it was ever possible to word-count clipped text. If a word-count is not already in the document you are looking at, AFAIK it's just not possible.
  24. ? Editing should still be possible. What exactly are you seeing when you try to edit a note?
