  1. AFAIK it's not a bug - at least not one anyone else has found yet... If you already have mixed text and images in Evernote, you should be able to print them to a PDF file. If you have an editor like Acrobat you'll be able to edit that file to a better layout if/ when necessary. The better plan would be to create your notes in a word-processor and save that DOCX (or other format) file as a note attachment. It can then be printed or edited further as required. Using Legacy does not involve a downgrade. It can be installed alongside v10 and - once the database has been updated - will contain exactly the same notes and attachments. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  2. Hi. You don't mention whether this is Windows or Mac, Legacy or v10. V10 does not yet support scripting of any kind, but does have import folders. If you can look to export your spreadsheet to separate HTML, text or RTF files, you'd be able to use the folders to import. Legacy does still work with scripting, so maybe you can find something there...
  3. Hmmn. Sorry - didn't realise my post above was incomplete... I remember writing a lot more! However you found the fix anyway, which is good news.... 😏
  4. Hi. The free version is the "free trial" but all versions have the same basic features, including receiving shared notebooks. It should be fairly easy to join a notebook, doing pretty much what you've already done. There are some videos on Youtube about sharing notebooks - check those out for some viewable demos.
  5. Hi. No clue why Evernote would think that a 59k file is over 200MB unless you have inadvertently selected more than that file, or it contains links to other documents that make up the difference. There are various limits to individual and monthly uploads, but they don't normally cause any problems. Can you find a way to 'refresh Evernote system limits
  6. Hi. How exactly are you getting images onto the clipboard? It should be possible to drag and drop images into other apps, or to save a note attachments to your desktop. Worst case - try the Legacy version to get back to the previous behaviour.. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  7. If I had a penny for each Basic user who would buy Evernote "if only"...
  8. Hi. If you're talking about Scannable, I don't think that has been updated in over a year. The Evernote in-app scanning function on the other hand got updated (or at least the app did) within the last several days...
  9. Since it took nearly a year for you to respond, you don't seem too fussed by it either... Just for the record, since last October Evernote apps for all platforms are now completely rewritten to (within the limits of each platform) provide exactly the same performance; so what you can do on one, you should be able to do on another. Even if that's not the case, it doesn't mean Evernote don't give a stuff - just that they have many other user priorities to address at the moment. Nowadays we also have automation apps that can carry out a standard process quite quickly - like maybe duplicating the 1st line as a title or taking in some text and making it both the first line and the title. In no particular order -and with no preference or prior knowledge- some of these apps are: Actiondesk / API Fuse / Automate.io / Chronify / CloudHQ / Elastic.io / Filterize / Huginn / IFTTT / Integromat / LeadsBridge / Microsoft Flow / Piesync / Workato / Zapier This issue doesn't affect me, so I don't know how much help any of these might be - if, after some research, you find an answer please let us know.
  10. Didn't know tag search was broke...
  11. Hi. I'm not an Edge user, but I'd imagine there should be a way past that screen if you need it - try the 'more information' button. Or a different browser... Meantime I dare say Evernote will resolve the issue with Microsoft in due course - it's happened to me on a few other sites over the years... If it's urgent that this gets fixed I'd recommend a support ticket - we're mainly user 2 user; a support ticket will get Evernote's attention more quickly.
  12. Hi. Does minimizing Evernote to the Task Bar not allow you to switch between open applications?
  13. Just to summarize - AFAIK the database location in v10 will do you no good. Unless & until Evernote (or other parties) offer some form of backup service, the best option is to install and sync the Legacy app, then backup from there. CloudHQ offer a (paid-for) online backup service which should work with v10.
  14. I prefer to deal with now and the real world. The situation is what it is; you need to deal with it or leave. There are no other choices... (unless you can create your own app....🤔)
  15. Seems to me the email says something to the effect of: you're getting the existing package, plus unspecified extra "benefits" at the current price. There may be a new lower-priced option between Basic and Premium, and/ or a new, and even more feature packed option above the current Premium. Don't think it was in that thread, but I've also seen comments that Basic will retain access to Tasks when it leaves Beta - though task dates will be a paid-for option. If you can, I'd suggest upgrading on a monthly subscription - it's more expensive in the short term, but if you see a better option you can change from your next subscription payment.
  16. Hi. Er... we're actually (mostly) other users here, so feel free to vent, but since - as you point out - a lot of your audience are already talking about leaving, it's not going to do anyone a lot of good. If you want to get some issues fixed, or feedback direct to Evernote, please submit a support ticket. If you're already committed to leaving, we feel your pain. Best of luck with the rest of the notetaking market. Let us know where you wind up!
  17. Hi. We're a mainly user 2 user group so no definitive technical information here, but it would not be unreasonable for an app which syncs all notes back to a server-based database to make frequent calls to it. You may get more detail from https://twitter.com/evernotehelps
  18. Hi. As a Business user, you have both a personal account for your own notes, and a separate Business account for the notes you share with other users/ employees. You may be logged into the 'wrong' account to see your notes. You'd need to contact Support if you don't have an alternative login.
  19. Hi. If you want to get back to the previous situation is is possible to step back here. NB: It's not an Evernote site; this is a repository of historic releases which you may be able to use to revert. Do take care to disable updates in the Play Store if you do so. https://evernote.en.uptodown.com/android/versions
  20. You joined a request thread that's been running for 10 years. I wouldn't expect anything to happen anytime soon...
  21. - Not sniping or objecting, but just to point out: storing everything within a single note also allows you to lose everything with one mistake or system glitch. Also also: I use Calibre for book management - it does lots of nice specialised Librarian things that Evernote does not. I doubt taggers will ever convince the folder-tree brigade that their system is better, or vice-versa; but the point remains that Evernote doesn't (currently) do sub-notebooks Until recently they didn't have the technical ability to do sub-notebooks (looking at you you v10!) It looks probable that conversion to sub-levels would be a major project. Evernote already has a lot of tidying up to do with its new software. They have their own priorities to follow, and don't tend to share whether or not they're planning or working on specific features (check out the recent 'we're not increasing our prices' email!!) The logical conclusion of which being: Sub-notebooks may or may not be coming at some unspecified future time. If you can't live without them - find another solution for your workflow. If you can manage within the existing software, please get on with your life! Personally I probably wouldn't use sub-notebooks, but I have no objection whatsoever to others having that option should they wish. They clearly would be popular, because users have been banging on this subject for 13 years. - Maybe this year will be your lucky year!
  22. Evernote very rarely comments on bug reports - and with v10 it's not like they're rare or anything... If you didn't already go direct to Support, try them...
