  1. @Wern About printing: Don’t know for Windows for sure. On the Mac, I can be everywhere in a note, body, title, up, down. When I select „Print Note“, the preview will always look the same.
  2. I think this effect is due to the way iOS handles connections between objects. The mobile client in general can’t have 2 notes open at any time. The link is created when the first note is open. It is placed on the clipboard. Then the note is closed when the target note is opened. Whatever the clipboard holds at that moment is inserted into the second note. If you check out the link, it has a format like https——www.evernote.com-shard-<weird address>.webloc . This means it is already in that moment a Weblink. Inserted it works fine, backlinks are created - but it will always work as a weblink. To dive deeper into it, posting in the forum won’t change anything. You need to get into contact with support. Personally I doubt this is anywhere on the agenda yet. And it may be the behavior of the iOS app can’t be changed to create in-app links anyhow, due to the OS restrictions.
  3. To add an aspect: PDFs can’t be viewed directly when opening a public shared link in a browser window. They can be viewed directly when the web client is used to open a shared note. The web client doesn’t need to be installed, it runs in a browser window as well. In this case the note needs to be shared to the account, not by public link.
  4. If the problem persists, you probably have a residual entry in your Windows registry. In this case run the uninstall with Revo. After that, use a tool that checks and cleans the registry. I used to use CCCleaner „back then“, but it may be there are better choices today. Only after setting the registry straight, install again.
  5. Just to sort things out: First you ran an account with a weak password and no 2FA enabled. For security this was set back by the provider. Then you had not kept your own contact information up to date. The regular reset function didn’t work for that reason. To get good advise, I think you should tell your lawyer that everything started with you not caring for a secure access and actual contact information. Where your support request derailed we in the forum can’t see. We have no access to any data beside our own. You can send your ticket number to a forum admin (Level 5 with a star) by DM. They can try to bump the ticket.
  6. Probably something on the company network or software installed on that computer. Do you have (local) admin rights on the company computer ?
  7. You should check where you are. This thread is about the legacy client, and its settings options. Either you still run the legacy client, and then it is unsupported software, that will probably soon stop syncing with its server. Nobody will fix anything on this client. Or you use the current clients version (10.xx), and then it's the wrong place to post any issues. Instead of dumping a post into a tread about a different software, go and create a new one int the appropriate subforum.

  9. If the features were requested for XX years, and have never been implemented, all other users obviously do without them, and presumably do fine. I don’t want to argue about the usefulness of the features. But the argument that they are necessary should be founded on more than just claiming they have been asked for a long time. After some years this argument turn itself into a point against implementing them „because they would be needed“.

  11. Legacy is unsupported software. It has access to the server, either by using the API or by other means. It doesn’t really matter, Legacy users were warned that the software is phased out. Now it happens, there should be no surprise about that fact, I think the discussion about „oh, please keep it up, I take it as it is“ is beside the point. Currently they need to run 2 data structures side by side on the server: One for all modern clients, using RTE, and another for the classical syncing. As long as legacy clients are allowed, EN needs to maintain this duplication of data and the permanent conversion when a user switches between clients. Furthermore every time they change something on the modern side, they need to see that the conversion is still working It is obvious this creates permanent cost and drag on dev resources. No, we are currently reading the last chapter from the book of the legacy clients. And the cowboy is already mounting his horse, to be riding into the sunset.
  12. Your personal account was bound to your old email address. The email can be changed. But if you open a new account, it’s new and by no means related to the old one. To subscribe, you need to pay for this account. If you suspended your account, and had a direct payment with EN, you should get a reimbursement.
  13. Beside this, it is no viable strategy. On Free notes are limited to 25MB each, with a monthly (!) upload limit of 60MB. You sync 2 of these large free notes, and won’t be able to sync a third - within full 30 days. I think your attempt of continue to use EN permanently while moving to Free is pretty much doomed. Export your notes, and move them to another service. This is a sustainable approach, opposite to your current course.

  15. Support came back to me (very fast, only 2 days) and told the problem on my account is solved. Now I can’t tell if something needs to be done per account, or if they fixed something in general. Maybe give it a new try. If it’s by account, you need to go through support as well.
  16. You need an installed desktop client to export a bunch of notes at a time. The web and mobile clients only allow to export note by note.
  17. The email address is used for the Account ID. So I think it’s logical it can’t be used again for a second account if it is already in use. Beside this I think the practice to send invites to private mail addresses runs in contradiction to the intended separation of professional data by the teams account setup. I would expect my organization running a teams account to have an own domain, with the mail addresses of the team members created from that domain. Only this will allow the admin to control the whole account, including receiving password and user resets in case the account needs to be taken back. In the end when a team member leaves the group, it should be ensured he can’t take relevant information with him.
  18. Just received the answer to my ticket - after only 2 days, and this included the weekend (!): They could reproduce the problem and said the fixed it, without a need to update a client. So it was a server side issue. I tried and can confirm that for me the problem with broken pictures in shared notes is resolved.
  19. There are only stacks of notebooks - never if tags. If you mean nested tags: In general (opposite to legacy) nesting tags is supported in all clients including mobile. Plus it is reflected in search (opposite to legacy) by including or excluding child tags when searching. When I create a new tag, I place it right away where it belongs. No need to move hoards of tags around. Do you use a system for nesting, or do you frequently change the nesting concept ?
  20. I think it’s more a question of priorities: They had some urgent issues to solve, like the syncing problems, and a huge technical debt on the server software. They are now talking about a new UI, and ask for feedback. Maybe this is another chance to remind them of all the - current and potential - users who natively use RTL languages.
  21. This means replacing the local database by a fresh copy from the cloud server. It is in some cases the method to get rid of a nagging problem You can do as they told. The only issue is probably that it will take several days until the local database is reconstructed. Better not to have any urgent offline job while it still downloads.
  22. No - they are like that since last summer. Probably it’s a new team as well.
