  1. Up to now they never charged for the apps the devices bring along. You may need an iCloud subscription to make professional use of it.
  2. Standard - select first, then ctrl/click for more, shift-click on a range for a group. Shouldn’t be hard …
  3. It’s quite easy to search only one notebook. Select a notebook from the sidebar, then search. Or pick the notebook from the filters. Or enter it into the search field. Or save a search … The web clip format is a clever way to convert the dynamic CSS/CMS modern websites into a static HTML page. Be happy it exists. 6.25 is the end of the line for Windows, before v10. It is still 32bit software, completely outdated.
  4. V10 does not support scripting or automation. If you can make it work, it will probably not work consistently.
  5. Moving to the latest legacy version may have solved the issue for now, but expect it to stop working as well. When ? Soon, I think, without knowing.
  6. You could if you wanted. I run more notes than you do (a lot more …), and work with 40 notebooks in total. Many of these are only needed because they are shared, working as a shared directory with others. The answer is to use tags instead of nitty bitty little notebooks, Because your problem is not only exporting. You would need the same effort to import the 200 ENEX files to another app. I think it makes more sense to properly organize them, and export after stripping the number of notebooks down.
  7. We have heard it all. Insisting on features no longer supported create a hurdle for the user, not for the imaginary bad boys. It‘s take it or leave it now, harsh as it seems. Who waited until the last moment to leave long unsupported software has to take what he gets. We can only tell what this IS, not change anything.
  8. Nobody can fix being on outdated software. It is deprecated since long, and now it simply doesn’t mate and connect with the server any more. For iOS you need a device with at least iOS 13 (we are 4 years ahead of this, iOS 17). Then install v10 from the AppStore, and you are back. iOS 13 runs on devices that were sold in 2014 (iPad Air 2) and 2015 (iPhone 6S).
  9. No, they closed chat last summer when support went under the waterline. We all agree it sucks !
  10. So - you need it …. Thats an average of 8 notes per notebook. Using the Backup project you get 216 ENEX files. And then ? Oh, now you need an automatic way to import them … Know what: Buy a month of Personal and organize your notes in a reasonable way. Apply tags where you (mis-)used notebooks to organize. Tags will export. And then stuff everything into say 20 notebooks. These you can handle manually, out and more important in as well.
  11. Different users can have a similar corruption. That may be the real bug to squeeze, but if you only notice it months later on exporting, it may be hard to find the root cause. So several reports do confirm there likely is a problem, but they don’t confirm the problem is with the export routine. In any case a contact with support is the next step, in case somebody doesn’t like the idea to reinstall. Oh, BTW, support when finally reached will tell to a) update to the latest and b) reinstall with a fresh database. THIS you can have without waiting for 2-3 weeks.
  12. If you are talking tabs, you are in the wrong subforum. 6.25 is Windows, and it never ever had tabs (I know you are on a Mac, but now explain to us why the 90% of Windows users came along without ?). Encryption of text snippets: Most unimportant feature, very limited in its approach. Who do you think is going to steal your Plan of World Domination from the EN server (where anything is encrypted anyhow). Get a better encryption tool, encrypt outside of EN, store the encrypted files if you need serious encryption. Search grammar works just the same. Plus it learned new tricks not available on legacy, like the „contains“ parameter. If you want better search, go for v10. Stand alone: Legacy is not stand alone - since 2008 it is a cloud based service, all features controlled on the server, and based on a subscription model. Where is the difference ? And finally, as already mentioned: When your grandfathered plan is up to renewal, you can’t continue it. You need to decide between Personal or a now rather useless Free plan. If you don’t like it, start to remove the dust from your „Plan B“.
  13. Just for finding out: To whom do you pass on your R&D cost, if not to your customers ? Given your customers are your only source of income, I can't think about another way of recovering R&D (or any other cost) than by making my customers pay. EN has never been profitable in the last years, AFAIK. This probably explains the hike: They needed to bring the enterprise into the black, and finance further R&D. The former EN management from what we have seen has focussed on the front end (clients), but kept building technical debt on the backend (servers, infrastructure). This obviously can only go on for so long as it lasts - and from what we see, BS is tackling this problem in parallel to many others.
  14. Make sure the database is free of corruption. Currently this is only possible by recreating the local database. It has been described a zillion times. Use an Uninstaller app like Revo or AppCleaner for the uninstall.
  15. Those columns you can use for sorting will scroll without any noticeable lag. Those that only show will have a slight delay when scrolling. When scrolling down, the gap will be at the bottom of the page, when scrolling up in the upper part. Little wonder - the sortable ones are in an index database that allows very fast access. The non sortable ones need to be read from the main database. The focus of app development has been on speed now for quite a while. Extending the indexed fields would make them show faster, and sorting possible by more fields. but in general it would slow down the app as well. This is probably the main reason why sorting is only possible for a few fields.
  16. Well - you can always add another box when you drop an empty one. And I tell you: 50 boxes with 5 liters each is a heck of a lot of wine.
  17. You can set up a folder anywhere on the Mac. I prefer it on my Desktop. Then you go to your EN clients settings, Import Folder and link this Folder with a notebook in EN. Now every file you drop into that folder will automatically be imported into a new note, with the file as attachment and the file name as note title. When you save there from Shottr, it will be imported. You can later merge several notes if you want everything together. You can create more than one folder, and link each to another notebook. But I think that’s sort of overkill. In the past it happened after some updates that the Import Folder disconnected. Then reconnect it, and it will pick up what missed an import.
  18. EN is not responsible to keep a client alive when you insist on using a computer that gets no more repairs with an operating system deprecated by its developer. You can always use the web client. It will run in most browsers, even does in my Firefox 70 extended service release version on my Raspberry Pi.
  19. Actually as our day-by-day wine we drink wine from a collection of boxed white & reds. But it's not really cheap. It is much better to share half a liter fresh "from the tap", than always having a rest of wine in a bottle, really too much to drink, but too precious to dump either. And even while we are loving our experimental cooking, there are really not that many recipes that would profit from a wine. Unless you follow the first rule of cooking: Get a glass of a decent wine and pour it into the cook. Cheerio !
  20. You use a formatting, your first line is either empty or part of a formatted (numbered) list. Don't ... It's the same with some symbols, like the "&". It somehow derails the HTML code behind it, so when it's there, the title briefly shows, but returns to untitled. It is quite simple to test a little, and see what works and what doesn't. A normal text in line one will copy over, until the first period ".".
  21. Don't underestimate recipe filing. We clip the original recipe, tag it, and then add own modifications to it, insert a table with some pictures taken at critical steps, with an explanation in the cell beside it, make changes to the ingredients, jot down which wine we tried, and so on. It's a professional tool to assist with a Personal hobby, and who takes cooking serious will find many uses for EN with recipes. You can even record the Aaaahs and Ooooohs when it's finally served. If used like that, anybody will understand that paying the price of a bottle of wine per month is hardly asking too much. Just to trash in a bunch of clips that will never been reproduced and enjoyed, it would be definitely too much.
  22. Know what - we don't care. These declarations of unexplained "uselessness" we have heard all over, and it's a hollow, empty argument. Initially with v10 it was Note body only (the we had discussions that were positive in direction to improvement), then the option to start in the title was added, and the automatic population of the title field with the first line of text from the note on a mouse click. This how it works since more than a year now. Silence about it in the forum, all good. If we have now stray users for whom a single mouse click into the title field is too much, they should go and ask support or send feedback to EN. I don't feel these late birds now swapping in from legacy really have a say (of course they have ...), since the didn't add to the pool of opinions when it counted. I am against these "Mr.Teacher, I know it better" approach coming from legacy, and I am against doing wild UI changes again just because of unexplained opposition to how it works - where it works. And it works fine, that's at least my opinion.
