  1. There is a simple way to forget all that font business for developers: Bring along your own fonts, license paid, and install them with the app. This is exactly what was done when v10 launched. We had exactly the same discussions back then, 3 years ago. Exactly the same solutions were posted and (I assume) send to support and PM ad well. With the result that nothing was changed. Who is discussing it today has decided to stick with legacy, for whatever reason. Now legacy is taken off the plate. Tell you what: Your leverage to change features that have proven themselves for 3 years now is practically zero. What maybe still was seen as debatable back then now has the proof of 3 years without a change against it. Take them as they are is the best advise I can offer.
  2. There is a more than simple explanation: You can’t share notebooks by public link any more. This was removed 3 years ago - maybe some older links continued to work. Notebooks can only be shared to defined, known recipients now. If you want to publicly share, take a look at postach.io
  3. Your notes need to be converted when you open them the first time in v10. This can take a little, meanwhile the new app can’t handle the old formats. When it occurs to me on an old note, I leave the note and open another briefly. Usually after coming back to the first one, the attachments will open. Using a mix of legacy and v10 is a bad idea: Every time the note was opened in legacy again, a new conversion needs to be done. Just forget that legacy ***** - expect the legacy clients that do still sync to stop within shortly. None of the legacy apps are sustainable.
  4. The developer decides if a widget is universal, or only available for certain platforms. Since the iOS apps and the Mac app are based on different technologies (Mac is Electron, iOS not), I think the iOS widgets won’t work on the Mac.
  5. We have had a few of these reports before, but not for a single release. In some cases it repeated itself in installing. In other cases it removed itself when the computer was shut down. I think the Windows installer sometimes runs amok, and either does never install, or installs in a loop. Remove the installation, Revo Uninstaller will take care of technicalities like the installer and the registry. Then restart the PC, and install again from the website.
  6. Yes, I meant this comment. In my comment I mentioned that the dark left pane is not visible as a contrast to the whole App, if it is in dark mode. With dark mode enabled it snuggly fits in. Which was never possible with EN legacy on Windows. It worked with legacy Mac, this was already a 64Bit compile.
  7. It’s not always down - I used it last summer myself. It was taken down when v10 launched, to free resources for tickets. It was offline maybe 4-5 months then, came back and was available for 3 years in a row. And it was taken down again, for the same reason late last summer. We all agree that it sucks, especially when the ticket reaction time goes beyond 2 weeks, as it did. They probably simply got swamped. Telling it is out of a lack of interest by EN is a typical comment for the web: Malicious and unfounded.
  8. If you came from Windows legacy, there never was a dark mode for that client. It‘s such outdated 32bit code that Windows doesn’t even support dark mode for these apps.
  9. sharedate:* works for me. sharedwith:* on trying brought up no error message, but no notes either. Mac client 10.71.2.
  10. It hasn’t messed up the fonts, the old fonts are simply not available any more in the new app. Which is not the same, but has the same effect. Those users who just jotted down their stuff probably won’t even notice. Those who meticulously crafted the design of their notes are in for a hard conversion - like it or not It all has been discussed 3 years ago when v10 launched.
  11. We know that EN support is notoriously slow since mid of last year. It seems they are catching up at the moment, but 1 week is probably still not in reach. Which sucks, no doubt. But unfortunately there is no alternative for some issues.
  12. Which are the clients you actually use. "The latest" does not necessarily mean the versions posted above. For desktop "the latest" already seems to be 10.72 - with an explicit mentioning of this bug fixed. If it's not in your case, it would be good to know.
  13. Personally I would try to contact support. Ticket type Account and Payment&Billing is open for all users: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Or use the support access as a guest: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=254668&guest=true&guest=true
  14. As long as you post wrong statements, you can expect to be corrected.
  15. Talking about reading comprehension - maybe you looked at the wrong place: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005247 Furthermore there is a blog article telling more about it. https://evernote.com/blog/evernote-free-note-limits
  16. You can simply deactivate and then permanently close your account. It's all in the help pages, just need to search for the buzz words. From your description I doubt you hit bugs - I rather think you are doing things the first time, and may collide with the restrictions of the Free plan you had chosen to use. And probably you are emotionally engaged, not the best precondition for such an operation.
  17. @Baboo85 The legacy client is deprecated since 2020. Since 6 months there are warnings showing that this software is outdated. Anybody had time and lead information enough to make the change -. either by switching to the new client, or by leaving and moving to an alternative. Ignoring it and sticking with legacy was at your own peril. @Niall O'Reilly You can't add fonts - use what's offered inside of the app. These fonts do not require a license and work in all EN clients on all platforms. They make sure that notes will not change their layout just because viewed on a different platform. Don't like it ? Go watching ... (We have had these discussions 40 months ago, when v10 was launched. Everything is discussed, we are bringing the used plates and glasses to the kitchen right now, when you show up and want to join the party).
  18. Actually when I tried, I couldn't reproduce the "update view" behavior any more on 10.71.2 (Mac) and 10.65 (iOS) already.
  19. You are likely on Free now. You can view and edit existing notes, but you can't move or create new ones until the count is below 50, and only 1 notebook. It is not spelled out, but I think it is obvious that the new Free plan is not made with a sustained use in mind. It's a trial, and you are trying now since 15 years in total, paid and free. The simplest way of removing notes is doing so by notebook: You can export a full notebook (no matter how many notes) from the desktop app, and you can trash an entire notebook, no matter how many notes. After trashing the notebook, the notes will be in trash. You need to empty the trash to bring down your notes count. You have the device limits, and it is by no means stupid - at least this is my view, as a paying customer who is seeing part of his subscription money funneled into non paying accounts. If you ant to resolve the issue, I would say the easiest way is to subscribe for a month. No limits any more to dance around, add a desktop client, export what you want, close the account. It's 10 bucks one time, for a hazzle free shut down.
  20. The claim with similar issues makes no sense. The post you are referring to is from November last year, this means at least another app version. If you want ideas, please post what happened, plus the necessary information about platform and clients. When claiming data loss always look it up in the web client. That’s the master copy - data that is there is not lost.
  21. My last uninstall was last summer, no need to do it since.
  22. I don’t use them either much, and I doubt regular typing includes hacking in all the special keys needed for the shortcuts. Do you have random keyboard shortcut encounters, or is it a specific shortcut ?
  23. It’s a full Personal account, for private use.
  24. Just tried - it seems the EN shortcuts widgets (there are 2 of them, one mid sieze, one large) have a bug. They ask to log in, but when I tap them, they open the EN app instead. You can report it to support: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  25. It depends: Notes created from the paid account don’t count into the 50 notes limit. If the new user needs to create notes himself, each one counts for the limit.
