  1. Loosing the notebook information about 300 notebooks doesn’t sound practical neither. I run a GitHub project provided by a fellow user: https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup
  2. Yes, it is way better now than it used to be. Plus there are these nice little indicators, showing per note how the download status really is. So when you are in a hurry to shut down, but know you need the offline download, you can actually see when everything is saved locally. This goes (just to mention it) far beyond what’s possible on the desktop client - a client often installed on notebooks that are as mobile as the typical „mobile“ devices. There it is not obvious if the download to the local database is already done.
  3. If you go to the engine room, you can. I have proposed this as a workaround myself. But for a normal user, it‘s 100 individually selected now by default. And your export is lacking all notebook information, so you may have exported a pile of them, but you only get them imported as a pile as well, without the information, which note belongs into which notebook. You can work around this by tags, but again tagging everything in a notebook makes at least as much work, than exporting by each notebook individually.
  4. You can export any notebook, independent of its size. The note selection limit only applies to an individual selection of notes. The limit stands at 100 these days.
  5. This has been described at some length in other threads already. You need to update to EN Android 10.52 (or eben 10.52.1) to get a fix delivered. 10.52 should be available now on the PlayStore - however there were users reporting here they are still missing it.
  6. V10 seems to be pretty sensitive against these lost data issues, locally. Since there are no means to repair a local database, it can only be replaced by a fresh copy from the server.
  7. OT as well: Most important are email accounts - since they are often used to reset passwords. If somebody evil can take over an email account, the damage is often far bigger than by any other account type. If possible every email account should be made very secure, and 2FA is a MUST HAVE.
  8. It obviously depends on what you ask support: It can be something available, and they just point out how, it can be an issue that needs to pass through the release cycle, or it can be one of these „nice to have, but never will“ features. Depending on this the time it will take will be between a few hours, several weeks or „never“. It is plain bad mouthing to tell „they never will“ - as if you would know.
  9. We advise actively against using the legacy client since the new RTE syncing was released. Old and new sync use different data structures, and the conversion puts additional stress on system resources. Furthermore mistakes are more likely. There is no scripting in v10, and that’s it. If you rely on scripts, move to another product. Apple Script is supported by Apple Notes and Devonthink, just to name a few.
  10. You most likely have a bug in the local database, that forces the app into a loop. Regular CPU usage is below 10%, maybe briefly peaking in the 20s when activities happen. The easiest way is probably to log out, quit the app and then remove ALL parts of it by using the app AppCleaner. A normal uninstall using MacOS will NOT do the job. Then restart the Mac, and download the app installer from the EN website. Install, open, log in. Keep the app running for a while, it needs to download and rebuild the local database.
  11. We have a thread that had a few posts, then goes silent in 2021, just to pop ,up again in 2023 for 3 posts since. Just to tell you (if you can’t read it from the forum discussion yourself): This may be important for yourself, but it is a low ranking issue for most users here. So it will eventually be fixed when there are dev resources to fix it. Just as a matter of fact observation: It is absolutely rare that support will come back to a specific user after an issue was eventually fixed. Keep yourself informed here and through release notes is your best bet to learn about any progress in an issue important to yourself. The only way to influence priorities is to issue support tickets.
  12. 24GB isn't what it used to be. Updates, RAM swapping, temporary files - it can be consumed rather fast. EN has identified low local storage as a root cause for data loss. So they decided to install the warning rapidly. There is a second move in the making, to move the database to another drive. Until then the warning will reappear. You can contact support to learn more about it.
  13. Everything works for me. No details, no help.
  14. With my install (Ventura, EN direct 10.58.8) it works on first try, pasting into EN, or from EN somewhere else
  15. The services were never free - they were just paid by somebody else. Remember the „burn rate“ ? It was the speed by which startups were consuming their seed money while trying to achieve a dominant market share. A high burn rate was considered good ! Who did not burn fast enough didn’t succeed in building the user base. This has changed, we currently have a shakeout of startups that never made it from building a user base to converting it into a cash flow. The interest rate hike means it is becoming more expensive to spread money around expecting one of the bets to hit the jackpot. EN needs to generate a positive cash flow. It can only be run sustainably when it succeeds in generating enough money to operate and develop, plus some for the owners. We will see how they achieve this. Just raising prices for existing users won’t do the job, that’s for sure.
  16. You can export any single notebook, independent from its size.
  17. AppStore version ? It is known to have issues like that, because the Mac is running it in a sandbox. The direct install from the website works.
  18. No matter why it worked for a long time, you are exceeding the device limit. And no matter why, you only have 2 unsyncs per 30 days, and this count seems gobbled up as well. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/218558068 My usual method would be to log out everywhere, and log back in on 1 device. Then unsync all except the device you are on. Then login on the second device, and stick to the 2 devices you want to use. But in this case it could produce a lockout for 30 days. The other method would be to subscribe for a month, sort out the situation, if necessary with support, and enjoy the additional features. Before falling back to Free (cancel the subscription, it will not expire by itself) go back to the 2 devices you will use. The 3rd option would be to contact support, ticket type Account directly. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  19. Both desktop versions download the full database to the local drive. With v10 you can stop the downloading through settings, but it downgrades performance as well. You can move the database to another drive by using a symlink. To learn how in detail google for it.
  20. Have fun, enjoy your life, in the forum and out of it. If you are seriously in search for bugs, you may end up with more posts than notes.
  21. We don’t care either if it is your personal hobby to wrap single notes into individual notebooks. I wouldn’t say it’s abuse, it simply makes little sense. It is currently fueling a forum thread that for nearly all users is of little importance. Point enough ? The forum is no place for bug reports - if that is what you want to do, you have been directed at support already.
  22. When EN and Yinxiang parted, there was not even the code base in place we today call „legacy“. From this moment both entities took on their own trajectory. Since Electron is based on Chromium, and Chromium being a spin off of Chrome, I doubt it is supported in China. Google left the Chinese market for good years ago. Maybe they are on talking terms - but that’s probably it.
