  1. The local data structure is a database to hold the note metadata, and a broad folder structure with note information and attachments. It is not easily usable without the app, and should not be modified directly. This is the reason why it doesn't show up in spotlight search either.
  2. Probably you are using an iPhone 14. This is a problem that many apps encountered initially with this phone and iOS 16. The app developer needs to update a plugin that communicates with the camera. To remind EN this is open, you can only issue another support ticket.
  3. If the account is completely empty, you likely have logged into an empty account instead of opening your own. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313978 Log out, log in again making sure you have no typo in the user name.
  4. You need an installer for one of the prior versions. Currently it may be wise to save the installers, instead of trashing them once the install is done. Since I am on a Mac, I can't provide a copy for Windows.
  5. If a note is not there any more, note history doesn't work. You always need the note (in whatever state it may be) to check version history. So first make sure the notes are somewhere, like in the trash or in another notebook. Version history is running for all accounts - just the access is a subscribers feature. If you are on Free, there is already a note history written into every note. You just can't open it, see it and restore it, if needed. Subscribing gives as well access to support.
  6. (1) is no bug at all - it simply is not possible to open a specific note in a new window in the web client. This would make no sense, because there is no note window - it is a browser, and inside of the browser there is a tab with the EN app. (2) My few Penultimate notes open without any problem in the web client. They are read-only, because modifications need to be done in the Penultimate app.
  7. It seems that thousands of forum users on the Free plan don't run into the same problem. So either something is very special about how you access the forum, or you simply should use a different user to login here. There is zero interaction between the forum and your EN account - there is simply no logical need to use the same user as for your EN account.
  8. Why don’t you sit it out - it seems you did nothing else in the last years, so why change old habits ? At least I don’t see much of a strategy in this „a little here, a little there“. Time will tell …
  9. You can’t have upgraded an iOS client from v6.0 to v10. Since this is the only information you give, and it contradicts reality, no help possible.
  10. It’s not clear what happened, so how could anybody help. What was installed ? Did you use local notebooks - notebooks not synced to the server ? On which OS are you running EN ? What is your current situation ? Do you have an EN app, but the account is empty. Or is there no EN app at all ?
  11. Open Scannable - 3 dots - settings - file type - set it to PDF. This activates multi page scanning into a new pdf file.
  12. 10.59.5 seems to have some own issues. You can try to roll back to 10.58.8 - no idea if that version did a better job for you, since it seems to depend on the use cases. https://cdn1.evernote.com/boron/mac/builds/Evernote-10.58.8-mac-ddl-ga-4175-bf1b4b33d6.dmg
  13. Here is a link to the installer for 10.58.8, the version right before 10.59.5: https://cdn1.evernote.com/boron/mac/builds/Evernote-10.58.8-mac-ddl-ga-4175-bf1b4b33d6.dmg
  14. Personally I doubt that this has any urgency for most users. Given the current challenges to bring the core application back to stability and performance, every dev hour wasted on such an AI blingbling is 2 hours too much.
  15. It depends a little on circumstances whether note history can help: If the sync to the server had completed, note history will show the older version. If not, content lost before syncing can't be reproduced.
  16. With one of the next releases. Check on the release notes. P.S. Just out of curiosity: Why do you need it ? Any mobile device is usually protected by a solid access protection. Or do you habitually unlock your phone and hand it to untrustworthy people who have nothing better to do than opening the EN app to watch your content ? The additional security by the passcode is IMHO just an illusion - if the device is properly protected.
  17. Where is your problem then ? Ignore it, or use 10.59 and turn it off.
  18. On most Macs to select and copy text from pictures is a native function of MacOS, without additional tools. To create searchable text in PDFs OwlOCR is a nice tool. It can even nest itself into the right click mouse menu.
  19. EN will not modify the document uploaded by you. The text information created by EN OCR is in a second pdf. This is invisibility stored in the note, not accessible for the user.
  20. There must be an additional factor in what you described. Just tried it myself. Each rotation took a second, maybe two, both in online and offline mode. The jpeg has 12.2 MB. I then exported it to my camera roll. Rotation took roughly the same tiny amount of time. The only visible difference was that in the camera roll there is a nice smooth visual effect.
  21. Did you know there is a help database ? Use it ! https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052801753
  22. This (Slow opening, damaged content) looks like a corrupted local database to me. I have described how to replace it by a fresh copy from the server too often to repeat it again. You can find it in the forum.
  23. The only way is currently to activate the Scribble feature in iPadOS, and see the conversion into typed text. EN notes are based on HTML, and HTML does not support handwriting natively. The Sketch feature is build for sketching (quickly jotting down a drawing). On grabbing handwriting results are far inferior to real handwriting apps. In short: The data format on which EN is build does not allow to add handwriting support easily. Chances are very small we will ever see this implemented. You can use the Penultimate app for free. It syncs the handwritten pages with EN. EN will make this content searchable, even on Free accounts.
