  1. If you are sure this is the way, just drop it there. You can come back later and see if anything has happened.
  2. No device syncs with any other device. Sync is always device - server. To get a note synced, it needs to go from the "active" device to the server (up sync), from the server to all other devices (down sync). This happens in real time now, but it still syncs using the server. To check what's going on you need to check on the server. Easy if you are on a subscription - just log into the web client. Difficult on Free - the web client counts as another device. To check the syncing process, you exceed the device limit. When it is not clear if the problem happens in the up-sync or the down-sync, troubleshooting is nearly impossible. There were some hints in the forum what may affect syncing. Among it are problems with the internet connection, and low local storage on an device.
  3. Bought milk recently ? Ooooops, but it’s still 1 liter of the same as last year, 2 years ago, 10 years ago, and whenever. Why does it cost more today ? We had stable prices for years, and a company loosing money on providing the product and service. If you did your homework, you shouldn’t play being cheated and surprised here.
  4. Somebody needs to pay for all the „Free“ products or services. Either we pay with our data (and in the end attention, by viewing all these „helpful“ ads, popup sand nags), or we pay for the service itself. A third way is an illusion, driven by a combination of cheap money and the hope to outgrow the competitors before cashing in. Since the interest rate hike has dried the supply of fresh stupid money to burn, these seemingly levitating programs will become a temporary exception.
  5. Log out in web clipper settings, quit the browser, log back in. If this doesn't help, log out and uninstall the web clipper extension from the browser. Restart the computer, open the browser again and clean the browser cache. Reinstall the web clipper, log in. Smart filing takes a lot of initial training - make sure the new clips didn't end up somewhere in your account. P.S. We are not support, we are other users who may or may not be able to help you.
  6. The job of a CEO is to run the business to please the owners. A CEO is not the Feelgood-Manager, even if occasionally he may come along as being it. If the owners decide to put lipstick on the elephant and cash in, it is his job to see the lipstick is nicely applied, and the elephant is looking good. The compensation is part of that challenge. I would not be surprised if his contract had a "change of control" clause. At least I would have asked for it before taking over, giving the situation with a run down software base and more competition popping up.
  7. @Eden Wheeler This was posted in the 2 posts preceding yours. We don't need parrot posting here.
  8. As told, it can take a while for the initial download. My 4 days were on recent hardware and a Gigabit internet connection. You can check in the activity monitor / task manager in the network tab. While EN still produces network traffic when open and idle, it probably is still downloading.
  9. Apple Notes does nested folders and attachments as well. There will be a major overhaul with iOS 17 / MacOS 14 in pdf handling. Will take some months until release, but maybe that's a basic, no frills option.
  10. Nice try ... just check the forum to know if it's known. EN will rarely comment. When 10.52 becomes available, install and hope the fix works.
  11. Check if you have set a notebook in web clipper that doesn’t exist any more. Or activated smart filing, by accident or intentionally. Smart filing learns from your decisions - if you change frequently used notebooks, it needs to learn again.
  12. The full uninstall as proposed removes that folder, among others. Doing it manually means you should think about removing it entirely. It will never be touched again, and just clogs up your system drive.
  13. When a thread goes silent after only a few posts, and stays that way for 2 years, nobody can say „I have exactly the same problem“. The app has passed through 30 releases cycles - this alone make the claim „exactly the same problem“ objectively wrong. If then no details are posted, I am in doubt if the post needs to be taken serious at all. In this case I tried to reproduce, and came out blank.
  14. There are 3 web clipper extensions, since there are 3 browser engines. Chrome(ium) is maintained by Google, WebKit (Safari) by Apple and Firefox / Mozilla uses it‘s own as well (I think it’s called Gecko). Each engine treats the websites differently, and the extensions need to take this into account. You can check the release numbers of the WebClipper extension - usually a new clipper is released for Chrome first, then Safari and finally Firefox. This follows more or less the market shares. Goggle pushes browser development, because similar to Android the browser is the piece of code it wants to install on the devices of the users. It is their bridgehead into everybodies privacy. They have maybe 70% of the browser market, so every dev follows their twists. And they twist a lot, dominating HTML development, and this makes it difficult (expensive) for all others to follow them. Which may explain why FF is sometimes a little behind, and all extensions lag a little more still.
  15. No issue with web clips created by sharing on iOS. This is no web clipper created by EN. Safari grabs the content and places it into a sharing „box“, the EN app picks it up there and builds the note. It can only use what sharing dropped in first place. The web clipper on MacOS is a browser extension created by EN. It has more control at the source over the content it is clipping. The web clip itself can only be a representation of the original page. A page build by a modern CMS is not a monolithic piece of HTML code. It is a structured collection of many small elements, that are picked from many sources (content as ads, buttons and tracking elements) and dynamically pieced together in the moment the page is opened. The next user will see a different page. The web clip is a static „view“ of the website. Since it is one piece of HTML code, editing means breaking the code up. I think simplifying the code first is a logical step to allow straightforward, lean editing. Anybody who wants to edit „the original“ needs a full HTML editor. I don’t expect this from my note app.
  16. There are 3 export options: ENEX, HTML-single note, HTML-group. It depends on what you want to do with the export later. ENEX will import into most other apps. HTML can be opened in every browser. HTML-single keeps each note and its attachments separate, HTML-group keeps all notes in the group together. Both HTML can be opened in any browser (however the last time I checked the links from the HTML text to the attachments didn't work). There is pdf export as well, but it exports the notes only, and the attachments only as a graphical element, not as a working copy. So I wouldn't use PDF as export option.
  17. Good if it works for you. Other users found it pretty bad over time to have things spread over different apps. But that's maybe the price for not paying a price.
  18. You could try 0034 instead of +34. About the method: You can use SMS only if on a Free account. On a subscription, you can either use 2FA or Authenticator. It's quite a while since I activated mine - but I think the Authenticator should work even without setting up SMS first.
  19. To me it seems that the download is incomplete, as already suggested. It depends on several factors, but I needed on a fast Internet connection 4 days until the initial download was done.
  20. You need a working device, and go to your account page there. On the devices tab you see which clients are registered. Not sure about it, but I think direct install and AppStore install already counts as 2 devices. So does the web client, even when used on the same physical machine. You only have 2 unsyncs per 30 days either. So it may be with all the movement between clients, your possibilities to solve this on Free are already exhausted. But as said above, first check your devices.
  21. There is still a common database on the server - if it is not in sync anymore, there might be an individual problem. The problem is that v10 has switched to another syncing technology. This means a permanent conversion between v10 and legacy data structures - all on the server. We „frequent users“ here in the forum are since a while warning against using v10 and legacy in parallel any more. What is the specific problem in your case you better find out by asking support. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  22. Beside this is the wrong place to drop a bug report, I can’t reproduce most of it. I think there must be something wrong with the browser used (no information), the browser settings (no information), the surrounding network, like security software or firewall (no information) or the OS privacy settings (no information). Since all hard facts are missing, I can just tell that what’s described is not my experience.
  23. If I look at Obsidian prices, it is similar or even more expensive than EN Pro. No sync at all without a subscription, for example. For a price level decision this is absurd. If the own use cases are better supported would be a different reason to switch - but subscription price doesn’t look like a saving, based on similar features.
  24. No, it’s not. Contact support. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  25. There is only the ticketing system you can use to contact support. Everything else it talking about, not with EN staff.
