  1. Using the "Open with ...", I had no duplication. 33 selected for opening, 33 new notes created. It seems on my install the problem is with the Import Folder.
  2. You could have simply emptied the trash. 35k notes in the trash is simply ridiculous. But of course, it must be the app to blame, not the own way of treating things you decided to drop. The behavior of the trash has not changed between legacy and v10 - it always kept the trashed content unless it was emptied by a user action, and it didn't have an auto-deletion, ever. What good does it when you can create notes, but they don't sync ? Exactly - nothing. One of the many inconsistencies of legacy. Your post is a brilliant example of criticism where nothing has changed at all - but it must be bad because it is the same on v10 as it was on legacy. It is a server side system limit of 100k notes per account, and it doesn't care if the client is legacy, v10 or your typewriter (provided it can send stuff to the API). But v10 must be bad because it treats the limit correctly: Not allowing to create new notes unless the root cause is corrected. Crooked view, if you ask me. Rant over ...
  3. Just tried with a newly installed Import Folder, EN Mac 10.59.5. I dropped a series of 40 Photos into the folder, all below 1MB in file size. The good: All of them imported. The bad: A good part imported twice, several imported three times. What I observed: The Created and Changed dates of the multiple copies were often 2 minutes apart. For me this indicates that the internal index holding the information which file has already been imported is not updating in parallel to the import itself. While it lags behind, the same file might be picked up again, and imported again. Just my 5ct .... The other thing I noticed when trying to delete the test batch of notes: The multi selection operation to move the notes to the trash took veeeeery long. v10 had gained a lot of speed on multiple note operations in the last year. Either I have a corrupted local database - or something is braking it down, hard.
  4. Do it - enjoy the ultimate days. To use your own words: It is a trashy proposal. Nobody knows when all legacy apps will stop syncing, but probably soon, and from that day it's over. I think it is the most ignorant approach to wait until the last train has left town, but everybody is the master of his own fate, and some have never known when to leave a party. Just don't come back here to drop some mimimi after it has happened - you have been informed. It would be much wiser to invest time into applying "Plan B" now - whatever it is.
  5. If you want to „fix“ a note, you want to edit it. If it’s too large to sync, you can’t. It doesn’t stop you at all to see it, and it doesn’t stop you from exporting it to wherever you want to edit it instead. You can just not use the service you would need, because you have decided yourself not to pay it any longer.
  6. All this is ok - but it doesn’t replace the information the email has actually been send.
  7. For me it is not clear if it was deactivated - which is a conscious act - or whether it was just unused. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314088 https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048593674
  8. If it’s about tagging, there is another option: Open a note with a set of tags you want to apply to another. Select the first in the tagging area at the bottom. Now hold down Shift and click on the last (selects all), or hold ctrl/cmd and click on each you want to catch. Now ctrl/cmd-C, open the note where you want to apply, click on the tags symbol, ctrl/cmd-V. The copied tags are applied to that note.
  9. In general I agree that depending on a use case it can be overdone to always update the update date. It is for sure overdone when it updates just after a note was viewed ! To keep an issue on the agenda, I think sending them support tickets is the more direct approach. It may change with BS management now, but up to this year feature requests in the forum didn't move much, if anything.
  10. If it is in the containers area, it is likely from an AppStore install. Since I only use the direct install, I can’t go checking. Thanks for looking it up. The data on a fresh install will be downloaded from the server - there is no need to carry over data from an existing install. And it is in general better to draw from the server - the local copy can have a corruption, which causes problems when using the app.
  11. I have the same problem since some weeks , and could not solve it yet. Something in the sharing doesn’t match. On the other hand I feel not much pressure to solve it. I use an Import Folder instead to create new notes from files.
  12. To get a send folder, use a mail client. To get a „received“ information, use a mailing service - if you have an embedded button (like click here for our summer promotion), they will even give you stats about openers, clicks, time to open/click etc. EN is not build to provide any of this.
  13. @ThreeThirtyDee OK, there is an open question here: Location for direct download: ~/Library/Application Support/Evernote Location with AppStore: ~/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data The symbol at the beginning stands for your Mac user name. In both cases the folder is hidden - do hidden folders must be made visible first. The content of this directory is somewhat readable directly - to get at the notes a working EN client is needed.
  14. EN is a cloud based service. A note that can’t sync because it exceeds the Free limits is technically broken when edited. So it is locked - to protect integrity. If you want to edit it, export it and use a different program. You won’t be able to import it again, due to the same restrictions.
  15. We accept that there may be a problem for one user - and another can‘t reproduce it. This information is valuable, because it can point to a specific additional factor. Either a clean uninstall / reinstall can solve the issue, or there may be 2 different issues that meet on one users device. Ah, and we don’t play personal blame games here (see forum code of conduct).
  16. If you are looking for a page oriented, layout program you are looking at the wrong product. Most note apps don’t support it, so no good proposal from my side. Good luck in finding what you are looking for.
  17. The way of installing has nothing to do with the payment method. I pay through the AppStore, and use the direct download. You either use an installer downloaded directly from the website, or your updates are delivered by the AppStore.
  18. Doesn’t look like - mass mailing is say 100 identical mails to recipients, usually BCC to cloak the mailing list. But still I wouldn’t use EN for this - no log, no confirmation.
  19. ??? 10.59 is available, at least as direct download.
  20. @ThreeThirtyDee You tell a lot, but not the most important information: Are you on the AppStore version, or using the direct download ? There are different locations for the local database depending on the origin of install.
  21. You know nothing, because the IP address doesn’t really tell the exact location. And then any hacker will use a VPN, to cloak his location. The bad guy may be sitting in the flat next door, while you see an access from around the globe. Change your password to a strong, unique one, and enable 2FA.
  22. No, you need to use a different scanner to create a pdf. This can be Scannable by EN, or any other scanning app. A good solution is Microsoft Lens, free and with useful options.
  23. The usual problem with Teams Accounts is that the payment was not processed in due course. Some insist on a billing detail that may be missing, others will try to pay at the latest date. Or there is a corporate credit card involved that has expired. Once the payment date is missed, the account goes into deactivation.
