  1. When I go to delete a single note in Trash, I get a popup "Warning: The note will be gone forever. This action cannot be undone, even by Evernote." So you could try submitting a support request (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new), but I would have only the very faintest of hope.
  2. Yes, I'm sure that's right, and it has been noted in other contexts as well. I could be OK with that, but why not just give a splash screen saying "Syncing" or "Updating" instead of this insane flashing? I might not even mind watching my notes update before my eyes, if there was smooth animation instead of start-stop-start-repeat.
  3. Apologies for multiple postings, but this is new info. My Web client just updated to 10.83.4 when my computer restarted. In the release notes (they're back!): "Fixed a performance issue when typing in large notes." This should be downloadable for desktops at evernote.com/download. I don't have long notes with bulleted lists, so I can't test it, but for those who are having the problem it might be worth trying.

  6. ?? As I pointed out, your Legacy screenshot had a ton of truncated titles. FWIW, Evernote probably added more features so far than they took away. Are you saying it was possible in Legacy to change the font size of titles in Notes List views?
  7. This is a good suggestion. Might be good to send it to feedback@evernote.com; and/or the new Feedback and feature requests section of Evernote Help: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=21983764539923 (you may have to log in).
  8. I don't do this much (or ever), but I just tried opening a spreadsheet from within a note and making a tiny edit. When I closed the spreadsheet, then reopened it in the app, the change had not saved. (But the note was marked updated!) I think the way you have to do it on Android (due to OS limitations, probably) is to download the attachment, edit it and save the edits, then re-attach it. But others with real-world experience may have better advice.
  9. Welcome to the forums. This is an old thread, so it's not certain that the issue would have the same cause. More details would help: what version of Evernote, what version of Android, paid or free account....
  10. Just WRT this one, it's a well-known issue, unfortunately. I've done what you describe many times, and generally find it works, so hopefully, this was a one-off. Probably something to do with incomplete uploading or downloading of the attachment on the mobile device. When I run into this (rarely), I can usually back out of the note, maybe go to a different one for a sec, then go back to the note with the attachment and it's there. Not ideal, but manageable.
  11. Welcome to the forums. These are basically user to user. Best way to contact Evernote and give them your opinion is to email feedback@evernote.com.
  12. Your experience is different. Therefore other people are lying PR guys. Fortunately, you're not a troll, or I'd be annoyed. I'll yield to other people's experience with Obsidian. Frankly, I don't care. But I expect to have my own experience respected too.
  13. I'll probably be really sorry for this, but I want to ask a question out of curiosity: if what people want is locally stored documents, including scanned receipts, that can be searched, why use Evernote? Wouldn't Windows search, or some more sophisticated indexing system, do just as well? As I understand it, Evernote was intended for syncing across multiple devices and platforms, but offered local-only notebooks for a long time. Why they stopped I don't know, so I'm not defending it. I just wonder what the advantage of using it for this was.
  14. The latest update to this ongoing malfunction: it's still possible to do a search "contains:table" (yielding 00 results), but now the Contains filter in the Notes list no longer includes Tables as an option! So they are literally deprecating any filtering for notes with tables in them, which I would have thought might be something people would want to do fairly commonly.
  15. I don't think there's any way out. You can email feedback@evernote.com. The support pages have been revised recently, so I don't know if that will make them easier to access: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
  16. TBH I see truncated titles all over your Legacy sample. As with Legacy, the fonts in the list views are fixed. It is possible to slide the almost-invisible column divider right to allow more space for titles. That doesn't seem to be available. Don't know if you're sorting by created date, but that would at least have notes created on the same day in order by time. Absolutely it automatically syncs. A fun test is to open a note on 2 devices at once (laptop and phone, for example) and edit on one while you watch the edits appear almost simultaneously on the other. If you have an itchy sync finger, Ctrl+R will refresh the whole app, including a sync. There was a problem with one version recently in which notes could not be displayed while offline. This has been fixed in v. 10.82. If your app hasn't gotten it rolled out yet, you can download directly from evernote.com/download.
  17. Don't know about buggy, but it's definitely unpredictable. Maybe it's meant to be fun and spacy -- I mean spacious -- like the new UI. My favorite is that selecting any linked text (note link or URL) will pop up the AI Edit button--what exactly is it supposed to edit? Very artificial, not so intelligent.
  18. Evernote has had mobile apps for ages, and it lacked the ability to adjust line spacing long, long before AI was even a possibility. I've also been a bit annoyed by the wide gaps between lines at smaller point sizes. But Evernote isn't meant to be a publisher, only a note-taker, and I think they expect we will copy to something with more adjustments for output when we want to have a "polished" look.
  19. I've got the latest (10.82.2), and this has happened a few times. I think once I did a Ctrl+R refresh to fix it, otherwise moving to a different note and back worked.
  20. I've seen this several times in the Windows client. It is very disconcerting, to say the least. Generally leaving that note and coming back to it is enough to fix it. Once I had to do a refresh (Ctrl+R). There's clearly something weird going on.
  21. This is definitely not the expected experience. It could be a result of the new database needing some time to fully download, but you should see your complete list of notes very quickly, and clicking any note should download and open it completely. (I can imagine -- only my imagination -- that the impact of all the Legacy users who waited till the end to upgrade having all their databases downloaded at once could at least slow things down.) If it's still this way in a couple of hours, the next bet might be to uninstall (people recommend Revo Uninstaller as doing a really complete job) and then reinstall. If you need to submit a support request, it's here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
  22. A simple workaround would be to use Shift+Alt+D, then Shift+Ctrl+D, at the top of the note to insert the information, print, then Ctrl+Z to remove it.
  23. Specifically, here (with a new feature request option): https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
  24. Yes, I noticed the new front page with the top articles (that in itself should be really helpful), but I hadn't clicked through to the following pages with the Submit a request button. All that is much simplified (and includes a page for submitting feature requests). Nicely done, and a place we can maybe more confidently refer people to from here. FWIW, I also think this is one set of pages where the "cleaner" UI look succeeds.
