  1. Nope, reinstallation didn't help. I did test the audio to text function and that works.
  2. I never cared for Keep, but I think if EN keeps improving Home, you will end up with something similar.
  3. The tag vs notebook argument has been going on since EN's inception. If you need multilevel hierarchy, you use tags. Simple as that. For my use with 12K notes over about 11 years, I have rarely used tags, have many notebooks and stacks, and have rarely been unable to find anything quickly. The search capability of EN is such that if you dumped everything into one notebook and used no tags at all, you could still find what you needed.
  4. I think there are a lot of issues with EN customer service right now, but you let your FOP lapse, that's on you. I don't know how many million paid users they have, but expecting them to abort what is certainly an automated system to reach out to every individual that fails to update their CC info is unreasonable IMO. I've had subscriptions renewed that I no longer wanted because I forgot to cancel and I've had them cancelled because I forgot to update my FOP. Operative words, "I forgot"
  5. I never used that feature as back when I first set it up, I unchecked the option. I would rather keep the local file as an extra backup. If it's important enough to scan in, I don't want the only copy on Evernote's cloud.
  6. v10.15 Click the + New Button, select Audio, and you get a typical blank page with Start Writing or Choose Template and the spinning cursor. You can start typing, but never get an indication of a recording. I used this recently, but not sure if it was in 10.14 or earlier. Edit: If I start with a New Note, then click +, scroll down and choose audio, it works as expected. A clunky workaround with several more unnecessary steps, but it works. Edit 2: No. It doesn't. No matter how short the audio, once you click stop, it goes to Loading... and never does anything else. No audio or note is saved. Eventually you break out of it.
  7. On Windows, mine is currently using 2.7Gb. After stopping and restarting, it jumped to over 3, but settled down back to 2.7. However, because of other software I run, I bought my latest laptop with 64Gb. But even on my last one at 32Gb, Evernote was never a problem. Now, if I had a 4Gb machine, that would be an issue, but I couldn't do my work on such a config, so...
  8. I hope at some point they understand how critical owning a backup is and puts some process in v10 similar to what we have in Legacy. For now, the only reason I open Legacy is to do my weekly backups and if I need to do something with more than 50 notes. Actually, more than about 30 as v10 is horribly slow with multiple notes. Legacy, move those 20 files over there. Right boss! Legacy moves 20 files over there. V10, move those 20 files over there. Right boss! V10 picks up one note and walks across the room with it and sets it down. Comes back for 2nd note, etc. This common platform thing is a good idea in theory, but ignoring the OS completely is a waste of resources IMO
  9. It's amazing the difference in experiences with Android. I have 3 different experiences. Opens within 5 seconds and works flawlessly - 50% of the time. Opens in 10-30 seconds and is slow to respond - 40% of the time Haven't used it since an update, Completely useless for 20-30 minutes. 10% of the time.
  10. Yeah, I've been using Phase Express since I started using v10. Works great. Pro Tip: Think through your hotkeys. I actually mapped something to Ctrl-A. Not good.
  11. IMO, "extremely disconcerting" is a bit much. Or maybe I have a higher tolerance. To search a single notebook, I used to have to click on the notebook, click on the search box and start typing. Now I have to click on the notebook, click on the search box, then click on the link that says, "add filter," which automatically adds the notebook to the search criteria. 3 clicks instead of 2 clicks. Took a minute to get used to, but I use it all the time now.
  12. I have a lot of notebooks and about half of them are in stacks. That's how I think and that's how I want my data structured. But, I knew going in that I couldn't export a stack and I'm okay with that. For most of the time when I have wanted to export, it was to port to another application and that's a good a time as any to think about structure and clean up old data. Having said that, within EN, a stack has to be some sort of tag or flag in a database. Having programmed many databases in the past, a statement that says, export all notebooks with this flag should be a trivial thing. But I've lived with this for 10 years. I don't expect Evernote to change that aspect anymore than I expect me to start using tags.
  13. I just tested and got the same results as you. However, because it works that one on some sites, including Facebook, I have become used to using Shift-Enter. It works everywhere I have tested it, including EN email message.
  14. How many email addresses do you have? You can't check them all?
  15. If they get the export notebook as PDF sorted out, I'd be set. At least half of my notebooks would only need to be done once for final archivals. I'd probably prefer that over the export as HTML from Legacy.
  16. That would be nice, but I'm glad if you get the link via right click, they give you the option. I don't remember that being that before and all of my links were web links. What I would like to see is the ability to drop a link on a Scratch Pad.
  17. Cleared the cache and data. No reinstall. Opened back up and left it for about 5 minutes. Opened up to 11,334 and incremented up to 11,346 in a few minutes with no dupe notebooks. All is well. So far
  18. Just opened it again. Began at 11,248 and started incrementing 1 at a time for about 10 notes, then suddenly dropped back to 10,465 I'll run a check on the db, but my assumption is, the web version should reflect the master wherever that is. Since Legacy, Web and Windows v10 all match, that makes Android the culprit. Worse since there are at least 1,500 dupes and the count is still low.
  19. 10.13.2Based on a post I saw on Reddit, I checked the total number of notes across all devices. 11,345 on Windows and Web. Android at 10,383 but still syncing. I haven't been to the All notes section of the Android in a while. I have added 70 notes in the past week. 10 minutes later Android says 11,949?!? 20 minutes - 10,432 30m - Said, 11,248, then dropped immediately back to 10,464. 40m - exactly the same' 11.248 to 10,464 After an hour, 11,248 - 11,400 - 10.464. Giving up A quick scan of notebooks show accurate numbers on most, but some notebook show as multiple copies. One with 429 notes has 4 copies. *I should note that all during this time, new/recent notes and tasks were showing up in the proper place. It's opening faster, and I can get to recent stuff, but this is clearly a problem. After next update, I will likely do a clean install.
  20. Oh, I was nice to the guy, just came here to vent. Or as I tell my wife, that was me being nice. And TBH, it's not a pressing need, but would give me a decent backup option and eliminate one more round trip to legacy.
  21. Well, this just got interesting. Got a reply from my ticket asking some good questions. Just got a response from a different tech, telling me you could only select and export 50 notes at a time and how was I selecting more than 50. My ticket specifically said Export Notebook as PDF. Maybe they haven't read the marketing material. If they tell me that you can only export a notebook with less than 50 notes, I'll be asking for a refund and downgrade my account.
  22. I just did my first full notebook export to PDF. 303 Notes. It went through the export window counting up each note, but when it finished and said Export completed, the PDF was only 4 pages long. A notebook of 150 notes worked as expected. Another one with 300 notes exported only 45. I don't know if it is using the same process, but I recall exports from Notion exhibited the same behavior. At any rate, it's unreliable at this point.
  23. Yeah, that's where I've been going. Even if I log into the web client successfully, when I click on help, it asks me to log in. I found a recent email and replied to that. I'll see if that works before I have to type everything into the mobile client.
