  1. I just stumbled across a video on YouTube. I only need note and camera, but added task in case
  2. Liking the new Create Button option on Mobile. Saves a click when creating new notes. Thanks!
  3. The only sync issue I have is with timing, and this could be solved by giving us back the manual sync button. Since I first saw Home, I thought of uses, mostly with mobile. Like today, I had some things I wanted to remember and a note I knew I would need. So I pinned the note and added some notes to the scratch pad. Both the desktop and mobile were running. The changes appeared on my mobile device sometime between 3 and 4 hours later. With the old apps, I would have done a sync on desktop followed by a sync on mobile and been ready to go a few minutes later.
  4. Anyone have the shortcuts quit working? Ctrl-N, Ctrl-Alt-N, Ctrl-T not working. Restarted app with no help. Was working since latest update, but not today. Will try reboot when I can shut everything else down.
  5. What everyone else said, I scan directly to that folder, it's where I save email attachments where I don't want to forward the email to EN, and several other functions. Then, the act of moving or scanning the file to my import folder, places a copy there, my Evernote, my external drive(s) and my cloud backup without me having to do anything else.
  6. Why I don't want the import to delete. The act of moving the file to my import folder, places a copy there, my Evernote, my external drive(s) and my cloud backup without me having to do anything else.
  7. On the Windows version, it never deleted after import, which would be my preference anyway. On legacy and v10, importer runs in the background, so import happens even if EN is not running. Edit: I see now that delete original is "coming soon." Hopefully this is an option. I never want any digital media in just one place.
  8. As I think about it, what it was probably doing for the hour was checking the first 10K notes and doing nothing until it got to the new ones.
  9. Ok, after doing nothing for about an hour, notes started pouring in at the rate of about 25 per second. Done a few minutes later and I get a splash screen about new features. A note entered in v6 showed up in v10 and mobile about 7 seconds later. Import works almost as fast as legacy. Guess it's time to dive in and kick the tires. later
  10. I couldn't find anything useful in the log except this, which is over double my actual note count currentNoteCount: 27532
  11. On the Windows app, I see no indication that anything is happening. Record count hasn't moved. Logged out and back in. No change.
  12. Thanks, So, just leave it open and running? Assume, I'm okay to keep using v6 while it syncs?
  13. Got the new version and set up the Import folder, but haven't tested yet. It's missing all notes since February, probably the last time I tested it. Strange thing is that the newest note in that version became the new newest note in my v6. I assume the 500-600 notes since then will sync at some point. I remember reading that the removed the sync button. Why let the user sync their own data when they can do it when they get around to it.
  14. Ok, 16 releases later, it's time for me to give v 10 a test drive.
  15. Hopefully, it's the old Quick Search. Easy way to get to saved searches. Haven't downloaded this version yet. Still trying to find out what's in it.
  16. Hey Look! A new release! Nope, it's the same notification that has popped up on the banner for 10 days now.
  17. Next time someone asks you when are going to do something. Tell them, soon. Thirteen times. For seven months. Let us know how that works out for you.
  18. People will do what they are paid to do. As little as 40 years ago, tech support was a fledgling field. Companies hired geeks like me to help people with their tech problems. But eventually, there had to be a metric by which to measure the job these techs did and out of that grew trouble ticket systems. It didn't take long for the techs to figure out that they weren't getting paid to solve problems, but to close tickets. In theory, these should be the same thing, but in practice they were not. Turn it of and wait twenty minutes before you turn it back on. Call back if you still have a problem. Problem unsolved, but ticket closed. The quicker they can close a ticket, the more money they make. Add to that companies realized that getting new clients was much easier and cheaper than keeping existing ones, and you have the perfect storm that is today's tech support system.
  19. Dear Evernote: You keep using that word, Soon. I don't think it means what you think it means.
  20. Also, FYI, an even easier method than right-clicking before v10 was an import folder. Drag as many files into it as you wanted to and it was instantly uploaded into the designated folder in Evernote. Supposedly on the roadmap.
  21. I just went in and changed my 9 year old 5 star review to 1 star. Unreliable and unusable. Sometimes it opens up in 10 seconds. Other times it takes over a minute of staring at the green elephant. Old version always worked quickly and reliably. I don't need my notes on mobile often, but when I do, I need them now. I can't wait for whatever random thing is happening in the background. Worst UX I have ever experienced. And that's saying something coming up from DOS 1.0 to now.
  22. I'm reading about other Android users with the same version and number of notes with no problems. So I'm investigating trying to figure out the difference. I just got two posts on Reddit, one from an iOS user with no problems and another with horrible experience.
  23. I don't think you understood the post. The Android version is not a deal-breaker. I need both. The old Android version was the best of its kind, hands-down. Opened immediately and lightning fast searches. Now it takes minutes to find something if you can at all. The legacy app on Windows doesn't help with that. One without the other is nothing at all.
  24. Since v10 came out I have thought that the return of the Import folder was my major roadblock to upgrading. Meanwhile, like many others, I was happy using the Legacy app. That is no longer true. I don't use the mobile app as much as some people, but when I need it, it is to enter or retrieve information on the fly, quickly. Keyword being quickly. Not only does it take 30 seconds to open, sometimes pages are displayed and other it comes up blank. It never remembers my view and always comes up to All Notes, so I have to hit the little burger menu partially obscured by the New Note button, to bring up notebooks. The search is too slow to use. And again, I may see data, I may not. So, now using the Legacy version no longer solves the problem they have created. I'll give them a few more weeks and then, sadly, I have to go. Standing at a window while someone waits for information while I stare at a green elephant is not acceptable. I used to be to access any file on mobile with a few seconds of touching the icon.
  25. This is probably posted elsewhere, but I couldn't find it. Hopefully not too little, too late. It's the first of these I read all the way through. It still doesn't all ring true, but may be hope.
