  1. Okay, then I'll definitely restrict it to enex or html. I assume that will make it faster? It took about 75 hours the first time. I'll may drop down to twice or once monthly. That's a lot of recourses to tie up for 3 days+ every week. Please let us know when you have incremental backups. Edit: It also occurs to me to uncheck archival notebooks. Would those be left alone on my backup drive if a future backup excludes them?
  2. I'll see how the next one goes. Maybe I alternate between enex and html.
  3. I've had the product for a few weeks, but haven't had time to complete a full backup. With 13K notes, I am currently at 30 hours and counting. Part of that is the frequent Quota Reached stalls. I am assuming on subsequent backups only changed notes or notebooks are backed up? Also, to someone that mentioned it only created an .enex of each notebook, mine is also creating an HTML for each notebook. This would be much more useful if for some reason, EN was unusable. But so far, it's easy, just time consuming.
  4. This was finally fixed, but despite the release notes, it didn't start working again until 10.63.4
  5. Yep, stuff happens. For me it will be how and when they respond that is important.
  6. Just checked mine. Nothing I've done on my other machine last 24 hours has synced to this one. Web client non-responsive.
  7. Been getting the sync error all morning on Win client. On Reddit, people are posting from all over the world that it is down. Currently in Atlanta, the web client login page comes up but is very slow. After login, page has been loading for several minutes and eventually errors out. Functionally, my client is fine, and I've been working on two different machines. I'll see how syncing works or not later.
  8. Just tried on mobile, it works as expected. This particular use is for a single project on a computer dedicated to that, so mobile isn't an option.
  9. I'm using tags now to bring the linked notes into the same view as the master, which works better for me anyway.
  10. Not that big of an issue yet. In the particular case I've been using them, my workflow is changing so they may not be important. I'll at least wait until the next update.
  11. I did a search, but only found once reference to it in Mac. Since the last update, my internal links fail 95% of the time. When I click on one, it churns for a second and goes to the home screen. As a test, I changed one link to some random string and got the same behaviors, so I assume the query is failing at the database. I have tried recreating the links, but no help.
  12. Yeah, I had a similar issue on Android, but I'm on Windows most of my day and for virtually all task management. I don't have time to chase tasks and drag them back into active state, so I'm sticking with TickTick for now.
  13. I went back to TickTick for a few months as the Android treatment of tasks was unusable. The widget still doesn't sync in a timely manner, but my more immediate problem is recurring tasks. Almost all of my tasks are daily and weekly recurring. About 20% of the time, when I complete a task, it goes wonky. The banner pops up showing the next instance, and it appears on the task list. But within a few minutes, it disappears. It will then be found in complete tasks. If I click on it, it still shows the correct next instance, but completed. If I uncomplete it, it will reappear, but at the original date/time. Sometimes it takes several tries for it to stick. In some cases, I have to delete and recreate the task. Anyone else? Any ideas?
  14. I wonder how of this was Bending Spoons (anybody remember Uri Geller?) looking for a major(ish) player to acquire, or Evernote throwing in the towel and admitting they are over there head. In any case, I've had one foot out the door for over a year and my data is fully in two different apps. As always, I hope EN pulls it out as overall, it is the best at most things but IMO, at this time, mobile, specifically Android is a major weakness. I hate to think this means they are starting over again.
  15. Came back to check on this thread after my biweekly test to see if EN was working yet. It's not. Had multiple sync issues yesterday with conflicts, including one where an edited note had a conflict with an empty, unedited note. There are a lot of suggestions here on workarounds and steps to take to ensure that things get synced, but that's not our job. That's Evernotes job and they have failed at it for over 2 years now. I'm using Nimbus for mobile now because it works. But I have also used Notion, and ClickUp over the last two years. In my office, I have two computers for different purposes, but they both use whatever note taking app I am on. With Nimbus, Notion, and ClickUp, I can open the app on both computers and two Android devices, edit a note and watch the edits sync on all 3 other devices within seconds. That's what sync means. That what sync has meant since the 90s and that's what sync used to mean with Evernote. I don't have to wait until something happens to work on the other computer. I don't have to swipe and dig into menus to force a sync. I don't have to bring up the web version of those apps to make sure the sync got that far before I move to the other device and wait for another sync. I don't have to uninstall and reinstall. I don't have to delete my data and reload it. It just works like it's supposed to. Until Evernote does again, I agree with some posters above that state that EN is now a one device product.
  16. I had this happen a couple of versions back on the Windows version. Had to keep digging into Note history to fix things. Hasn't happened in a few weeks for me.
  17. I hope they don't try. They're spread too thin trying to support 4 platforms already.
  18. Handles them fine. They used to not display inline but now they do. I didn't think they were searchable, but just did a test and they are. Nimbus is updating the software weekly and have been for years.
  19. Okay, 24 hours later, I finally got the Android app to reinstall and sync. It kept claiming I didn't have a connection although every other app had one. (And yes, mobile data is turned on.) After all that, I still don't have my default import folder. Not only is the app not pointed to it, it's just not there. After leaving it running for a bit, I went to check, and after staring at the green elephant for another 30 seconds, it and several other notebooks are missing. Frankly, I've lost patience with using 3 apps for the last 2 years to make things work. I'm in the process as of yesterday copying all 12K notes to Nimbus. If it works as well fully loaded as it has with my partial mobile setup, I'm done. Every time EN issues an update, I jump back in, but it's long since passed the point where I have any hope. I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. I can't keep doing this. It was the best for 10 years. Now it's not even in the top 5. Sad.
  20. Yes, I created folders that I need on the road in Nimbus which matched EN, then export folders from EN, then import. Unfortunately, since 2 years later, they still haven't restored full functionality, I have to do that in Legacy, as in some cases, I grab to notebooks, select all, for my export. I don't recall how Nimbus handles dupes, but it has performed flawlessly for me as a mobile app for the last year while I've struggled with EN. Frankly, I've lost patience with using 3 apps to make things work. I'm in the process as of yesterday copying all 12K notes to Nimbus. If it works as well fully loaded as it has with my partial setup, I'm done. Every time EN issues an update, I jump back in, but it's long since passed the point where I have any hope. Also, Nimbus works well offline.
  21. Yes, and after you finally dig it out and find it and click Sync, you have to click again, Sync Now. You also need to check your notes after each sync because it may or may not work, then you will be stuck in uninstall-reinstall hell, like I am now. Thankfully after waiting over a year for Android app to be stable, I finally started mirroring all of my "must have while I'm out" folders to Nimbus Notes. It saved my bacon again today when my entire default folder disappeared.
  22. And now, not only has my Android lost track of my Default notebook, it has disappeared completely. Yeah, I know. Uninstall and reinstall. Again. and Again. And Again 2 freakin' years. SMH
  23. For tasks that are more involved, I just place the task within the note. The task still shows up in my task list. Maybe I'm not following what you are doing?
  24. Just got an update to the Android app (although the date was a couple of weeks ago) to10.36 and sync is working very well, right now. Like, within a minute, either direction. Hopefully, this continues.
