  1. I don't think there's any relevance to password protection; you've lost content in a note My recovery method is to restore from backups. I have personal backups and as @CalS mentioned, Evernote has a Note History backup
  2. I'm seeing the same selection of fonts both in Preferences and within the note
  3. Quoted searches are working for me I just tried a search without quotes; got hundreds of hits With quotes; got 5 hits Can you post a screenshot of your search page
  4. That seems like a good solution; I've had no problems downgrading to previous versions You have to pick which features are the most important to you
  5. Just to confirm - you're using the "Offline Notebook" feature and have selected all notebooks I'm not getting a delay in viewing my notes on my iPad Pro
  6. Shane has provided you the contact point for Evernote Support Contact Evernote Support (paid accounts) There's also Twitter @evernotehelps all accounts Evernote provides these user forums for user discussion and self-help. Is there something we can help you with?
  7. You could try rebuilding your search index On my Mac, I hold down the option key and click Help > Troubleshooting > Recreate
  8. Personally, I'm happy using intitle searches. I make sure the relevant information is in the title of the note.
  9. Is this still a sort issue or are you having s problem with "archiving is done using yyyymmdd" My archiving is done by applying an Archive tag
  10. My experience is that "tabled notes" sync to the iPad and are displayed correctly Be aware that the IOS platform has no table update functions. You can not create tables, or adjust rows or columns
  11. Just came across this Instead of a link to a search, Evernote allows a link to a Table of Contents note This would be ok for static data. For changing data, third party app Filterize has a feature that will keep ToC notes refreshed with the most current note list
  12. fwiw This was posted in the Customized Notebook discussion and provides a grid layout
  13. The demand thing may work for you My thinking is if the product/service doesn't address my requirements I look elsewhere I also need more features than those in the Evernote editor; it seems more fitted to simple notes My solution is to use dedicated editor apps, and attach the documents to Evernote as a note attachment
  14. You've successfully posted the request, and users can indicate their support using the voting buttons in the top left corner of the discussion. Did you intend to restrict this request to the Android platform, or would you like it moved to the cross-platform Feature Request forum? edited: The discussion has been moved to the Feature Request Forum
  15. There's no indication of interest from Evernote in providing a flowchart feature Evernote provides an editor that's suited for basic notes. Their focus seems to be on adding word processing features On the plus side, you can add file attachments to notes; any format. My approach would be to use an editor that supports flowcharts
  16. Less stretch than the gas pedal. Not "ABSOLUTELY essential" for me (7 notebooks), but different strokes ...
  17. Please give us more details on how notebooks are displayed in the Google Suite edit: Answering my own question, I did some research. Google Docs doesn't use notebooks, but organizes by folders. There is a grid option
  18. It's probably not a "Drawpad PDF" (I don't know the app, but most apps use a proprietay format, .doc, .note ...) It's a pdf file you exported from Drawpad No, you can not edit it If you wish to continue to edit, I would attach the native file to the note
  19. Yes. It can be a file of any format and Evernote transfers control to the native application. This is handled very well on the Win/Mac platforms
  20. That's also an important feature for me (draw and type in the same document) The Evernote editor offers a sketch feature which inserts image files into your typed notes I prefer to use an external editor, and include the file as an attachment to a note. I use Notability on my iPad
  21. I think that's the important point, regardless of the scanner type (individual files per scanned page) If all your scans are stored in a single file; you end up with a single note Then you're back to the subject of this discussion "Splitting a note into multiple notes" I see this as a manual process, after the scan and import If you turned on OCR, this will just be a copy/paste operation
  22. Please explain why this will not work (effectively) It's working for me, effectively; but not efficiently - I have to add the filter to each of my views >>we don't need to see the information again except in rare circumstances. I agree. When viewing my data, I exclude archived data by appying a filter (-tag:!Archive) It seems to me that you don't understand how to apply filters when viewing your data As noted in this discussion; Evernote has not provided any specific archiving feature, or filter. However the tools are there for applying this function
  23. There are various archive solutions presented in this discussion. My solution is to use an !Archive tag
  24. Yes, but it's complicated and requires a Mac computer The app file is installed via Mac iTunes, and can be a previous version I haven't done this for a while, but this was discussed here
