  1. Moving the discussion from the IOS forum to the Mac Windows forum Check out Mac > System Preference > Keyboard > Capitalize
  2. The update is to a specific notebook/note. Is the notebook valid? I have a note updated by IFTTT with the weather each morning at 7am The append works fine
  3. That's interesting but I'm not sure the forum members can help Your screenshot is telling me the note is intact, with a link to the image file. Somehow the image file got lost I recommend contacting Support All accounts Twitter @evernotehelps Paid Accounts Contact Evernote Support
  4. Yes the documents are searchable (paid account feature) Depending on the platform, the documents are also displayed inline >>I'd be interested in understanding how to do this. There are various methods. The simplest is to create the document, store as a file, then drag the file into a note
  5. No changes for the Mac platform Windows has a "demand sync" feature. No selection, but inactive notes are not stored locally
  6. I find Evernote's editor fine for basic notes For serious work, I use a dedicated editor app. Word/Pages for word processing, Excel/Numbers for spreadsheets, ... I add the documents as attachments to the note. Evernote works well with office/iwork documents
  7. Enable the setting in Settings > General > Keyboards > Auto-Capital
  8. Not the highest priority. This can be influenced by the number of user votes your request receives Voting buttons are in the top left corner of the discussion
  9. Moving the database is not an option on the Mac platform >>Evernote is taking up a significant %age of my SSD space How much space? My database folder is 10gb.
  10. I intended my post to refer to the search index that is built and used by Evernote. I support the request, and have added my vote. I'm trying to solicit more votes. We're up to votes now I actually maintain an html copy as part of my backups; yes, it is also useful for searches using the OS search feature (Mac)
  11. Yes, it's not a full feature search index It is what it is; that's the way search works To date; Evernote has given no indication they intend to change the search indexing You are welcome to add your support to this request using the voting buttons in the upper left corner So far, this request has votes
  12. Even if I don't need it, I add a table just to get the colour background; it can be one row, one cell I actually like using multiple columns. It's better use of the note space
  13. Your location my be different; when I go to my subscription page I see an option for month or year
  14. Read-only is not an Evernote feature, but see the post below for a solution by third party Filterize
  15. Read-only is still not an Evernote feature, but see the post below for a solution by third party Filterize
  16. Evernote continues to pay for these forums to solicit feedback from the users I think it's legitimate to believe Evernote is listening Sometimes the answer is No, or Not at this time
  17. Evernote has a basic reminder feature, one date/time per note. There is no provision for multiple reminders; no provision for repeating reminders You can indicate your support for this request using the voting buttons in the top left corner of the discussion The request currently has votes >>Maybe Evernote would think about spending some of that Evernote money on contracting me to implement features that would make Evernote a certainty regarding; multiple-industry kingpin for a decade. #Literally. _ I would blow your minds. Note; there is no chage for the software; no charge for the upgrades I'm not sure what your implementation ideas are. I see it as a massive change for both the UI and database >> I have more than a dozen features noted/detailed, that are regularly required by power-users. Feel free to post them; Evernote is paying for these forums to obtain user feedback Note; you are posting in the Mac forum. There is a general feature request forum at https://discussion.evernote.com/forum/304-evernote-feature-requests/
  18. I restore corrupted or lost content from backups I have personal data backups, and Evernote has a Note History backup that is running for all accounts Access to Note History data is a paid feature, but you can subscribe for a single month
  19. This request has votes. Voting buttons are in the top left corner of the discussion
  20. To select multiple tags for searching, use the tag picker in the upper right corner or the search builder at the bottom of the search box >>What on earth could possibly delay this crucial feature? This does not seem to be a high priority request. It currently has votes. Voting buttons are at the top left corner of the discussion
  21. Just a warning. Evernote will rebuild the database drop from the master version on the servers, however the rebuild doesn't include Local Notebooks or unsync'd notes
  22. Evernote has an in-app sketch feature that can be used for handwriting. The document is saved as an image file attachment There's documentation at https://blog.evernote.com/blog/2015/06/23/6-ways-evernote-embraces-handwriting/ and https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/213493077-How-to-add-hand-drawn-sketches-to-Evernote-on-iOS-devices An alternative is to use a dedicated editor that supports handwriting. The document can be added to the note as a file attachment; in either native format or image/pdf format On my iPad, I like to use the Notability app I also use MyScript Stylus, an alternate keyboard that translates to text on the fly
  23. Thats a good idea. If the database is incomplete, the full sync will also be incomplete If you post examples of your search page, parameters and expected results we might see other issues
  24. The Activity Log shows the activity as the index build is in progress. No activity = completed A rough estimate is about an hour for me; 12,000 notes/ 10GB on a Mac mini
  25. As per @TK0047, TaskClone will do the heavy lifting to extract your checklist items and syncing to a to-do app or back to Evernote What are you looking for in a To-Do app? Personally, I use Evernote to manage my tasks, with every task being a separate note My process is date-driven; I store the due date using the Reminder feature
