  1. Who says and who really thinks, there is still a chance? The decision for unification, at the end with Elektron, was made more than 2 years ago. As far as I can see there had allready been long discussions abaout pros and cons regarding Elektron - before the decision and during "reconstruction" of the new Evernote. We now see a complete different Evernote product on nearly all plattforms except of Android (which might come soon..). It surely will not be by accident, that all these versions start with 10.x, leaving out 9.# on iOS, 8.# on MacOs and 7.# on Windows. This seems to speak for a new approach and a new - so far streamlined and stripped, unificated - product -- all this as a strategical decision by management or by stakeholders. And look out, how the discussions are treated in this forum: only a few things are handled as bugs, the most is dicussed as "request". I assume these requests are used to filter out, which of the nearly uncountable additional functions and features of the former different plattform-versions are really essential - at least to most of us. We may wonder and discuss about reasons, we may whine or complain about bugs or missing and beloved former and in some cases OS-specific features and functions. But I can't see, that there is any way to turn the wheel back. I think therefore it's more important to give reasons for (re-) implementing functions and features and to vote for it as request for all those, who like to stay with Evernote as their note-taking and productivity tool, than to condemn the people we have to rely on
  2. @Dmitry Mi Isn't this the 3rd issue where you posted this screenshot? Did you try the tipps and advices by @PinkElephant in the other issues? Please don't cross-post...
  3. Confirmed - just the same impression on iPad 2018 (with only 32 GB..). Much faster, big improvement regarding this
  4. sorry, but your mentioned and linked contend isn't to see, at least for me. (may be content from a closed forum or a beta-tester forum, where most of us might have no permission to read... screenshot instead ?!?)
  5. Thank you for this report and advice... (as well regarding the ScanSnap Software) 😉
  6. This unfortunately is not a simple bug. It's more a known issue and hopfully temporarily decision by EN as published yesterday in the Announcement "What's new in Evernote for Mac":
  7. see: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047889214: this leeds to: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313358
  8. O.k. - got your point. Probably it is not only a question of a larger panel for search result suggests. As well a smaller font size / (css-) redesign might be helpful.. (in comparison to the old „legacy version“ nearly all fonts and lables seem to be more adjusted to a web-like design...)
  9. The legacy version of the actual/old version Evernote_6.25.2.9198 as well is to find and to download via the Evernote article "Install an older version of Evernote" on https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314.
  10. Are you talking about the action „search notes“? - This should be still available via shortcut with F6. For a complete list see keyboard shortcuts listed in the actual article "Keyboard shortcuts in Evernote for Windows (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807)
  11. I guess this is only the panel for suggests for search result. Probably you get a better to read and to scan result list by fulfilling the search with „Enter“?
  12. ... and as additional fast-info: As mentioned by Shane the legacy version of the actual/old version Evernote_6.25.2.9198 is to find and to download via the Evernote article "Install an older version of Evernote" on https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314
  13. No, I believe this function was removed. at least in contrast to the older version there isn't any longer a keyboard shortcut available for the action "Email note" in the newer version... (according to the allready mentioned list available at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807)
  14. Thats what I guess. I shortly read that support for the former special Evernote Edition has been given up. Newer firmware is just Fujitsu ScanSnap software „pure“ - including options for direct scans to Evernote. This should stay compatible...
  15. There are quite a lot of keyboard shortcuts listed in the actual article "Keyboard shortcuts in Evernote for Windows (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807), that are listed as "Not available" in the new version...
  16. Anybody any clue what is meant with listing "ScanSnap Evernote Edition firmware and software" as no longer supported feature? a) former seperate / special "ScanSnap Evernote Edition firmware and software" or b) general "ScanSnap software" (meanwhile updated and replacing the former Evernote Edition) I wouldn't be delighted to have problems with using my Fujitsu iX500 (non-Evernote Edition ) after updating to Windows-App, Version 10.0.10...
  17. This issue relates to the brandnew article "What's new in Evernote for Windows 10.0.10 – Evernote Help & Learning" (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047889234, 2020-10-07) not quite clear for me is which shortcuts, that may be used in our workflows, are no longer supported or just not implemented yet. There are quite a lot of keyboard shortcuts listed in the actual article "Keyboard shortcuts in Evernote for Windows (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807), that are listed as "Not available" in the new version: This is (state of 2020-10-07): all former global keyboard shorcuts (system-wide when working in any application - provided Evernote is running) Application-wide keyboard shorcuts Jump to notebook - Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + N Print Preview - Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + P Switch to another user - Older versions: Ctrl + Alt + A Show/Hide Note List - Older versions: F11 Show/Hide Note View - Older versions: Ctrl + F11 Show/Hide Tags View - Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + T Quick Search - Older versions: Ctrl + Q Snippet View - Older versions: Ctrl + F5 Card View - Older versions: Ctrl + F6 Top List View - Older versions: Ctrl + F7 Side List View - Older versions: Ctrl + F8 Thumbnail View - Older versions: Ctrl + F9 Search notebook - Older versions: Shift + Alt + N Search Tags - Older versions: Shift + Alt +N Show Search Explanation - Older versions: Ctrl + F10 Close separate windows / Minimize main window to tray - Older versions: Alt + F4 Sync - Older versions: F9 Online Help - Older versions: F1 Cycle through note list views (Snippet, Card, Top List, Side List, Thumbnail) - Older versions: F5 Note Editor keyboard shorcuts Search Notes - Older versions: F6 Reset Search - Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + A Check Spelling - Older versions: F7 Open in a New Window - Older versions: Ctrl + Enter Present - Older versions: Ctrl + Alt + Enter Present on Another Screen - Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + Enter Tag - Older versions: Ctrl + Alt + T Email note - Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + E Font - Older versions: Ctrl + D Insert Checkbox - Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + C Remove Formatting- Older versions: Ctrl + Shift + Space Note List keyboard shorcuts Search Notebooks - Older versions: Alt + F1 Search Tags - Older versions: Alt + F2 Search Saved Searches - Older versions: Alt + F3 Go to the first note in list - Older versions: Home Go to the last note in list - Older versions: End Open the selected note in a separate window - Older versions: Ctrl + Enter Navigation menu keyboard shorcuts Move to the previous item in the section (notebooks, tags, ...) - Older versions: Up arrow Move to the next item in the section (notebooks, tags, ...) - Older versions: Down arrow View the list of sub-items under the selected item (if applicable) - Older versions: Right arrow Collapse the list of sub-items under the selected item (if applicable) - Older versions: Left arrow Delete selected item - Older versions: Delete
  18. Just tested with the german version of the FireFox web-clipper: Here/there I haven't any problems to enter these chars in title or comment-field. Doesn't seem to be a general problem with clippings in FireFox.
  19. Very useful, allready love it - thank you very much!!!
  20. I'am sure. As everybody in this forum knows: pink elephants horn loudly ... 😉
  21. O.K.- found it... The option to opt out downloaded notebooks now is only to find (rather hidden) in the additional menu für notebook-preferences. In version 8.x this used to be found easier as an option at each separate downloaded notebook... [don't know why my uploaded pic didn't show, replaced with attachement ]
  22. ...this used to be the solution befor version 10.0.#. But in version 10.0.# I can't see a an option to deselect or “opt out” a previously selected notebook. This just looks like attached (in German) ... There is no checkbox and nothing happens, at least when I try to click at the outfaded text..
  23. O.K. folks so far we are having this ever-lasting discussion about offline-notebook and downloading times, which hopefully find a satisfactory result soon: https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/forum/717-evernote-for-ios-issues-versions-100-and-above/ But how ist it vice versa? May be I'm a little bit blind - but I can't find a way to opt out dowloaded notebooks or content and to free memory this way ... Is this option / function missing?
  24. In this case we are talking about something that has been implemented in the last 4-8 weeks. In my opinion it's more a workaround than a new cool feature. Before this the new(er) web-version was missing a functional easy to click link to the clipping source. This was a fast to access feature of the former / the old web version. In the actual new version this link originally was moved in a rather hidden, non-clickable text-field, only to access via the additional meta-menu in the upper right corner..
  25. isn't that nonsense? As we all know Android, Windows, Mac users still have the old frontends which haven't built up new on the new code base. (And they all are working simultanously though each of this frontends so far works with a still native Android-, Windows or Mac- codebase). It just has been a long time stategical decision of Evernote, may be 2 years ago, to set all 5 clients (including the web interface) on an common code base, which has better chances to be economically maintained, preserved and further developed. "Keeping (up) both versions" will cost a lot of ressources which may not be given or better may be invested in getting this thing ready soon... Even though I miss a couple of things in v10.0.x, I don't want the old version back. While waiting for helping updates on iOS I will use other frontends like my Android-phone, the meanwhile very improved editor in the web-version or my desktop-app for single missing features.
