  1. I'm not sure -- it's working for me from my mobile. I'd try a different device and/or internet connection to see if you can get through and troubleshoot it.
  2. Very cool. I wondered if one reason Evernote didn't have this before is because they didn't want to encourage long notes because those were more prone to sync problems. Now with the very robust RTE, sync issues aren't as big of a problem (at least in my own usage and experience). Nice to see them implementing this.
  3. @Swizz Here is what happens when I try and create a new account using my existing account credentials: It won't let me create a new account. Try it again with your most recent email address and I suspect you'll see the same error message. So even though you are 100% sure, I'd suggest you look through old emails from Evernote and try and figure out under what email the previous account might have been created.
  4. Yeah - one of the take-aways for me in this thread is that those arrow ligatures are also being done in the code block -- and I don't think they should be done there either. (similar to how "---" shouldn't (and doesn't) translate to a divider in a code block.) Hopefully it's just an oversight with a new feature implementation. I've seen reported that BS has plans to add syntax highlighting for specific languages in the code blocks so hopefully (/perhaps?) they are planning to do some major work to it and will address it then (if they know about it) FWIW, BS didn't break code blocks as far as adding bold/italic/color. It has been this way since the inception of v10 -- well before BS got involved. I'm not aware of anything BS has done to make it worse per-se except for the arrow ligatures.
  5. "Later" is like when you run into an old acquaintance and you each say we should hang out "sometime" and catch up. In these cases "later" and "sometime" mean the same thing... "never". 😃
  6. I might not be understanding exactly what you meant by that, but if I'm understanding correctly, then I'm not sure that's accurate: When collapsed, Header 2A will hide it's content and any sub-headers under it until it reaches an equal or greater header or a divider:
  7. I agree with you OP. Also a recent related thread: I'll bet we start to see a lot more complaints about this come in and hopefully they'll change their minds and reverse this decision once they realize how many people loved and depended on internal links being easily discernible from external links. This was especially huge for links to other Evernote notes that you didn't want to be internal because you were sharing a few documents with outside people. This loss of difference in color is not just a cosmetic change, it's actually a huge feature deprecation.
  8. @david_woznyorg By "mess around with exporting to a browser" did you mean tapping this button in the top right-hand corner? Just wanted to make sure that you knew tapping that button would open that URL in Safari (your preferred default). It is, unfortunately, still a two step process (tap that button, then tap 'Done'), but it's less steps than clicking the 'Share' button.
  9. oof - yeah I like the green color for internal links so much that I copied that green style for internal links in the new tool I am migrating too (customized the CSS in Obsidian to be that way). I can't say this purple blue change is really going to impact me so much since I'm using Evernote less and less these days. This is kind of another example of a disruption nail for me. (Other nails include the constant AI Edit popup, the increased padding everywhere, the UI redesign in general, the constant tweaking/disruption and feeling of a loss of control.)
  10. Yeah - I've been pretty impressed with Evernote's ENEX export and other tools support for it. It has made it easier transition to something else for me. (Looks like it's going to stick... I was just kind of toying with it at first.) The easy part is copying content over, the harder part is the mindset change and workflow adjustments. Also -- no escaping for me. 😃 Even though I am (95% sure I am) migrating away, I still think Evernote v10 is pretty great software, but I think I've found something that will suit my style and needs a little better.
  11. Weird. Cmd-Z opens the find dialog for me too if the note editor doesn't have the focus. If the note editor has the focus (and the cursor is blinking), then Cmd-Z behaves as normal. (MacOS Evernote v10.84.3). But then I restarted Evernote just now and can't get Cmd-Z to open the find dialog again.
  12. Ah - k. If quotes were used, sometimes iPadOS/iOS devices are set to use "smart quotes" which messes up the search in general (and I thought it would mess up the intitle search as well). FWIW, I tried a few different intitle searches between my iPhone (10.83.0) and Desktop Mac (10.84.3) just now and got the same number of notes found on each device.
  13. @justacat Are you enclosing the search terms in quotes following "intitle" -- or is it just a one word search term you are looking for?
  14. Good eye. I took a little screenshot before manually updating on my Mac and these are the results:
  15. Still there for me too and I'm never going to connect a Calendar. Well, this profile pic update is the best I can do. 😎 Old me for reference:
  16. Yay! They did this! 🎉 Maybe I spoke too soon? This is what I'm seeing on Mac Desktop v10.82.2 but I was forced to update my 10.60 something version on my Windows Desktop and now I have Windows Desktop v10.82.2 and am seeing it back on the toolbar there. So who knows... but I give up.
  17. Yeah - especially with regards to the "This is unfortunate because this way the attachment and the note are not linked anymore" part. I think that Evernote could possibly open the attachment directly in the target application (but could be a huge technical lift and collaboration*), but it would be nigh technically impossible (as far as browser sandboxing goes) to allow the native app to make a change to the attachment and have that attachment automatically updated back to the web app. *Even opening the attachment directly in a native app could also be quite difficult. I've seen this happen in two cases that I can think of off the top of my head: Zoom meetings and MacOS App Store. But in both of those cases, the owner of the site was the same owner of the app. Seems like it would be technically difficult, but I don't know. I just haven't seen it that much.
  18. Even if I was an avid fan of the AI Edit feature (which I'm not), I'm confident that I'd still think it's super annoying to have that little menu constantly popup like that. Why not just have a hot key for it? I know they might add a setting for it or change it somehow -- just like they added in a settings to disable the "Press / to insert an element" -- but it's almost like they are going to keep pushing different things to see how in-your-face they can make it without getting too much user pushback. It's getting kind of frustrating and exhausting.
  19. Yeah - your #2 and #3 have been around for quite some time (but they were a different color before the UI Revamp) -- at least since 10.50.2. Referenced here: https://tamingthetrunk.substack.com/p/oh-my-new-features-galore-with-evernote (with credit to @Jon/t for the awesome blog.)
  20. Ah - For tasks in a single note, can't you just select them all with the mouse (click and drag) and then press the delete key?.. As long as they are grouped altogether? Your usage of tasks is probably different from mine. I love the Tasks feature, but I'll typically only have a maximum of 2 or 3 tasks per note. If I have a bunch of todos in a singular note then I'm probably going to use checklists for that. Also, just to make sure we are talking about the same thing: ?
  21. @ThomasCee One other one you might want to check out if you haven't already is UpNote. It's Evernote-like and runs on PC, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Sync is pretty good. No web client. It is missing some features that Evernote has, but it also has some features that Evernote doesn't have. Max attachment size is just 20 MB. Has a great Evernote ENEX importer. I've heard web clipper is OK, but probably not near as good as Evernote (but no personal experience). It's like a dollar or two a month for the Premium subscription (so you can try out all the features inexpensively), $30 lifetime. (Lots of discussion in these forums over if that is sustainable long term or not.) It's run by a couple of Indie developers based in Vietnam. (Data is stored in Google Firebase in the US, but still lots of debate on security and long-term viability.) You can set up a daily export to markdown -- super slick. Don't put any PII/sensitive documents in there -- which we shouldn't be putting into Evernote either. See https://medium.com/upnote and https://www.reddit.com/r/UpNote_App/top/?t=year While Evernote has been my daily driver for 10+ years (three of those years being v10), I've had UpNote for a couple of years and I like to dabble and tinker with it every once in a while. I think it's a pretty slick app.
  22. On Desktop and Web -- deselect the 'Show completed' under the ellipses button: It's similar on mobile: Tasks -> ellipses -> View options -> Show completed tasks
  23. I don't know about any public policy about feedback (does anybody really have a "Here is our Public Policy About User Feedback"?), but I think they do take feedback from users. The product lead, Federico, has been actively commenting at various times on this forum. His last post: And I'd be surprised if he (and they) didn't read a whole bunch more and just not comment. He's also really active on X and engages with users there: https://twitter.com/fedesimio (See also the official Evernote X account: https://twitter.com/evernote) With millions of users though, I wouldn't expect any personalized response anywhere.
  24. So then if I have text selected and I press '/', you suggest to not replace the text with the '/' character just yet, but wait to see what the user will do with the slash commands first? If I press Esc to dismiss the commands then we replace the selected text with the '/' character, but if I type 'c' (because I'm going to type 'cod' to get the 'code block' command filtered, I'm not going to use the mouse to click on it) then... what happens with the 'c' character as far as showing in the note? Nothing because it's still in the menu of slash commands and we haven't determined yet if I'm going to do a command or not?
