  1. There was a problem initially with Apple Notes import of attachments in MacOS Sonoma. Updating to 14.2.1 fixed this.
  2. If we see backlinks (and links) as a fluid tool, the current setup would probably be enough. But in the days of "Zettelkasten" and similar concepts, the links are for some users the backbone of organization. They are not fluid any more, they are used to describe relations between unrelated objects. This indicates that in fact EN should provide a means to keep relations even when notes are merged. Ideal would be if the links would still work to the section of the merged note where they had originally been pointing, and vice versa with the backlinks. Until links get more robust, they are of limited usability only.
  3. WOW, this went fast. Didn't know 99 accounts will already be sufficient do to enumerate all Evernote Free Users left.
  4. Yeah, they are really derailed. I think they may have been crawling back a little, but now with the password reset and 2FA enforcing, they got kicked back into the mud. Sorry for those working support these days.
  5. Oh, you are happy to pay the price you want ? Maybe you missed it, but that's not how it works: A price is asked, and you decide to take it or leave it. If you don't like what you get, leave. Giving your hilarious negative gossip about others, you will not be missed.
  6. It is not a workaround what I described. This is the official way how it is done in v10: Option 1: Start a new note in the title field (select in settings) Option 2: Start a new note in the content field, and populate the title with one single click of the mouse into the title field This is how it works, these are no workarounds.
  7. It's a bug, there are already threads about it (check if you want more details), and to report it, issue a support ticket.
  8. It's quite obviously a bug, started with one of the last releases. The best way to handle bugs is to contact support (which is not us, the forum is user2user).
  9. As other users: No, we can't. Have you checked your Spam folder yet ? What I can confirm is that my reminders emails still come through. But I can as well confirm that we have occasionally postings in the forum that they don't. So it looks like a more specific issue, nothing broken in general. There is a mail server running for every 10 or so accounts. In the past we had cases when this mailserver was blocked (could be from a neighboring account), and needed a reset. This can only be checked and processed by support. You need to open a ticket to reach them, and reaction time is dreadful at the moment.
  10. Probably this is related to this security measure: · We preemptively reset vulnerable passwords with an automatic password reset for accounts that didn’t have two-factor authentication. These accounts were particularly vulnerable to attacks through a weak or reused password. Affected users were then prompted to update their password the next time they opened Evernote. And again, I highly recommend setting up two-factor authentication! Source: https://evernote.com/blog/2023-recap As other users we can just confirm that there seem to be cases when the resetting has not worked. You can only continue to contact support.
  11. We can’t solve account issues here, as other users. You need to go through support - it can take some days, unfortunately. Evernote Support Ticket: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  12. Thanks for the advise, unasked for. Anything substantial to contribute to this thread ? Because it‘s about a question asked, and answered.
  13. Worked for me - just to find out (as expected) that as a subscriber I don't qualify. Evernote Support Ticket: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Feel yourself lucky if you can receive an answer from support before the promo is over.
  14. Maybe this is what happened: We preemptively reset vulnerable passwords with an automatic password reset for accounts that didn’t have two-factor authentication. These accounts were particularly vulnerable to attacks through a weak or reused password. Affected users were then prompted to update their password the next time they opened Evernote. And again, I highly recommend setting up two-factor authentication! Source: https://evernote.com/blog/2023-recap
  15. A complex content like a website with all HTML code and embedded objects can't be copied to the clipboard. If it could, web clipper would not be needed.
  16. Support as guest: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=254668&guest=true&guest=true
  17. Scan to folder, rename the scan (the name will become the note title), save the renamed file into an Import folder. EN when open will grab the file from there and create a new note, attaching the file to it.
  18. If you use EN between platforms, you are quite happy about having everything looking and feeling alike, no matter which client on which platform you use. That’s very human centered.
  19. Quite interesting. Anybody using note links and backlinks should be aware they will only work inside of EN and between the original notes. They are based on the unique UID of the notes, which will not export.
  20. I am not an expert, but that’s the last information we got (Shane has left the company). If it doesn’t work, you need to go through support.
  21. Insert your stuff into the note body, then click once into the title field. Tadaaaa - it populates automatically with the first sentence (or what the app believes to be the first sentence, up to the first period). But of course, the old way was much more useful - sick of listening to this ***** 🤮
  22. I wish I could object … But OK, on the other hand we get the support we don’t wish for if we don’t „train“ them a bit.
