  1. Tags are Evernote's primary organization tool The sub notebook discussion is linked below
  2. That's not correct Notebooks, like Tags are simply fields in the note metadata Directories, also known as Folders, are a legacy filing methodology Some users emulate directories/folders using the notebook/tag trees
  3. There's no support for directories in Evernote We only have the Notebook and Tag fields Tags are the primary organization tool, with unlimited levels (hierarchy)
  4. Here's an example; Notebook "Recipes" or Tag "Recipes" If I want to browse my recipes notes, I would browse tag "Recipes"
  5. Same question, why not "browsing through each individual note in the notebook tag" given that notebooks and tags are two fields in the note metadata
  6. I don"t have a list but I advise users to hold off installing the Version 10 product until the work is completed The Legacy product continues to work well for me edit; My reason for staying with the Legacy product is in addition to working well, I don't see anything in Version 10 that makes me want to switch In fact, reading the release notes indicates Version 10 is a work-in-process and not ready for general use My must have feature is Applescript integration (Mac)
  7. I'm a Legacy product user; still waiting until the Version 10 product is completed Please provide details to the "unable to sync error"
  8. I'm still using the Evernote Legacy product (Mac) with no issues I wouldn't want to split my note database; is there a reason you have three solutions?
  9. I merged your post with an ongoing discussion For installing the Legacy product, see https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314?fbclid=IwAR2TNqp-eGRH3Ds8Vfu-CiKPjYolJzZ_keR9eWQaDahJ2GN-7hwn595zI8w&__s=bsetfdgzirbvqtopurph
  10. Browsing??? Does that mean navigating using the notebook tree in the sidebar? Is there a reason "browsing" can't use the tag tree?
  11. I'm using export with the Legacy product on my Mac No problem exporting notes - daily incremental and weekly full backups No issues with the software The Version 8 also supports export by notebook
  12. You might be happier using the Evernote Legacy product The Version 10 product is a work-in-progress and not ready for general use
  13. Correct; The Legacy product can be installed Mac devices The Legacy product can not be installed on IOS devices (iPhones, iPads)
  14. Screenshot is from my Mac Note - I am using the Notebooks page (click on the Notebook icon in the sidebar)
  15. Instead of the App Store, I installed the direct download from Evernote Auto-update is an option in Evernote > Preferences
  16. From the release notes at https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/130717-evernote-for-windows-103-updated/#elControls_588008_menu Coming soon: Quickly search and move to different note using a keyboard shortcut (Mac - CMD+J, Windows - Ctrl+Q) Create new audio recordings and playback audio files Top list view (the same condensed view as side-list, but the list is on top) Dragging and dropping note links directly into your note Global keyboard shortcuts Additional export options
  17. To test the initial release of the Version 10 product To provide feedback on features to be added
  18. imho The Legacy product is better than the Version 10 product
  19. I merged your post with an ongoing discussion You can read the solution above; basically you installed the Version 10 product and it doesn't support scripting yet You need to install the Legacy product
  20. Agreed; a Legacy IOS version is needed Evernote claims Apple restricts them to a single version but I don't accept that excuse The Version 10 product is not ready for general use, and should not have been released without a fallback
  21. For Mac and Window users, previous versions continue to exist and can be installed Evernote has already released a Legacy product along side the Version 10 product If you're not willing to participate in the Version 10 testing; just install a legacy version (not available to IOS users) I moved your post to the General Feedback forum Users can indicate support using the vote button at the top left corner of the discussion It's against forum rules to cross-post; I deleted your duplicate entry
  22. Or use the Evernote Legacy product until import folders get implemented in the Legacy product
  23. I consider the Version 10 product a work-in-progress; not ready for general use The Legacy product is working well for me. I'll review the Version 10 product when the work is completed >>make your voice heard Objective feedback is welcome. Sadly most of the posts are more "Boohoo, Evernote's so bad"; it clutters the feedback/issue forums
