  1. As an Evernote user, I would add these entries to the note content Also tags to indicate the status I could add automation using Applescript on my Mac
  2. It's quite clear that Local Notebooks will no longer be supported (a database architect thing) My intention is to continue to use Evernote, but move sensitive attachments to an external folder/directory The embedded attachment will be replaced with a file link
  3. I'm an Evernote Legacy user - I think at least 6 months is a better estimate Before Evernote Legacy sunsets, I will have switched There's many alternatives; Version 10 would be an easy move - if the work is completed and to my satisfaction
  4. Use the Evernote Legacy product https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  5. Evernote Legacy offers two export options; .enex or .html I use html format for my backups - notes are in html format; readable by any browser app - attachments are in native format; pdf, jpg, doc ....
  6. Personally, I basically use one notebook (15k notes) I only use additional notebooks if I have a need (share etc) but have no problem splitting my filing notebook if it's an issue I generally don't use notebooks as an organization tool; that's what tags are for
  7. You end up with two apps, Evernote and "Evernote Legacy" You can use both, side by side
  8. It's extremely easy to install the Legacy product - see https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  9. I recommend using the Legacy product It's my solution for data backups (daily incremental and weekly full)
  10. Using the Legacy product, my backups are in HTML format Warning: The export function excludes notebook information To preserve notebook assignment, some users do separate exports for each notebook >>But if you have say 50 notebooks This would be better addressed if automated I use Applescript on my Mac
  11. The upgrade didn't delete the local legacy database (.exb file) - this stores your local notebook data It will be accessed when you install the Legacy app and login
  12. It's a display thing; the video isn't actually embedded Currently there's no method to disable this I moved the discussion to the Requests forum, and added my vote
  13. I moved your post to the Windows forum fwiw On my Mac, I access the Notebook page, and right click a notebook
  14. You might be happier with the Legacy product Installation from https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  15. The developers need to priority the work on the Version 10 product This request currently has 1 user vote (vote button is at the top left corner of the discussion)
  16. The "created:20151206 -created:20151207" is working well for me, both in the Legacy product and Version 10 product I moved the discussion to the pre-Version 10 forum
  17. Agreed That's why I'm still using the Legacy product I'll look at switching to The Version 10 product after the work-in-progress is completed
  18. The Version 10 product can be more useful with the current technology The developers need time to fix issues, and add missing features
