1. I use Evernote to store my markdown files (and other file types) Pasting into an Evernote note, works for me although I mostly use drag and drop (screenshot is from my Mac)
2. I think I've shown the "shrinkage" is not done at the Evernote export Your issue is with the apps importing the .enex file btw If you import the .enex file back into Evernote, the font/size is preserved
3. No, you don't have to explicitly set font/size In Evernote, set the default text size in Evernote > Preferences In Apple Notes, set the default text size in Notes > Preferences
4. By default, notes have no font specification Here's the .enex export of a single note There is no font specification in the .enex file It is possible to explicitly define font/size for text within a note This will be replicated in the .enex file, for example
Single Note

5. Can someone post an .enex export of a locked note I'm wondering if we can use a third party tool (like Filterize) to unlock the notes
6. I purchased the right to use the software, and have a copy installed on my Mac I'm not a Windows use and can't test FreeOCR Reading the specs, it looks useful for generating a text file PDF OCR X provides an additional output option, a searchable PDF
7. You're welcome to use it any way that works for you; glad I could help
8. I have no concern about Evernote security, however I recognize my notes are not encrypted on the server For this reason, my sensitive data is encrypted (attachments)
9. I can recover data from my personal backups >>Would Evernote's Support help me recover my notes then? Or am I on my own? Evernote Support ensures the data is backed up, and will address internal errors Lost data might be recoverable using the Note History backup
10. I suspect you've minimized the width of the sidebar Actually I like this view - there's less clutter The notebook list is displayed with a long press on the notebook icon To expand the sidebar width, drag the side handles
11. Further to @gazumped's post, there's documentation at https://evernote.com/blog/how-evernotes-image-recognition-works/ Here's a sample .en-reco from a screenshot of your post I have an external OCR app (PDF OCR X) that delivers a text file Here's a sample of the extracted text from the same screenshot
12. In edit mode, you will see a new icon added to the menu bar
13. This is a user discussion forum You can contact Evernote support at https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action Were you working with the Evernote's Window software, or via the web? You now have access to the Note History back; check if any versions were saved https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313858-How-to-use-note-history-to-view-older-versions-of-a-note edit: Moved to the web forum
14. To be honest, I only reviewed/selected Hello Fax because of the Evernote integration There's a comparison at https://www.g2.com/compare/cocofax-vs-hellofax afaik the services are equivalent and offer a full fax solution (in/out)
15. There's a request posted at the link below To indicate support, use the vote button at the top left corner of the discussion
16. Can you provide more details on the 'move to other location" The public url is tied to the note id, and will only become invalid if you change the id
17. Which device/platform are you using? On a Mac, the default font is set in Evernote > Preferences
18. Marged with ongoing discussion
19. Looking at the bottom of the note panel, for notes with reminders - I see the clock icon Clicking on it does nothing The reminder date/time is not displayed New Web v5.33.0, Safari browser
20. This would be a third party service, not supported by Evernote I use the Hello Fax service documented at https://appcenter.evernote.com/app/hellofax/web-apps
21. Pricing details at https://app.hellofax.com/info/pricing I don't have a subscription
22. Be aware that syncing is from data on the Evernote servers Check this data via the web at www.evernote.com to make sure your data is there To force a full sync on your new device: Hold the **Shift** and **Option** keys on your keyboard and click the sync icon
23. I also use html export as an Evernote backup I don't use Evernote's encryption feature - I don't want to be locked into Evernote I use encrypted attachments (pdfs, office/iwork documents, ...) The encryption is valid outside the Evernote platform
