Forward email to Evernote from other email accounts
DTLow replied to DrFranco's topic in Evernote General Discussions
afaik There's no check on the sender address I forward from multiple accounts -
Some email systems allow unique identifiers using the + sign For example Mishkafofer@aaaaa.com, Mishkafofer+work@aaaaa.com Evernote identifies this as two accounts Email identifies this as one account

Unable to see View Options and Tag icons in web version
DTLow replied to SusannaO's topic in Web Client Issues
The note tags are now appearing at the bottom of the note contents It's a design choice; no one is happy about it We're told view options are coming - we don't know when We have the option of downgrading the web version to have view options -
See https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314238-How-to-set-up-two-step-verification Two-step verification, also known as two-factor authentication, adds an additional layer of security to the login process, requiring you to enter a verification code from your phone in addition to your regular username and password. The goal of this extra step is to combine something you know (your password) with something only you would have access to (your phone).

Merge notes in app
DTLow replied to Jeremy Yancey's question in Evernote for Android Requests (Versions 8.13.3 and under)
I don't think there's any mobile users not wanting the merge feature I've added my vote to the request (vote button is at the top left corner of the discussion) -
PDF attachment failed to sync, I'm going crazy
DTLow replied to vegerote's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Try the pdf with a new note I suspect this is above our pay grade. You might want to open a support ticket at https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action -
Delete duplicates
DTLow replied to Marc de Oliveira's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 6.25.1 and under)
Noted; Evernote has no support for folder structure Some users emulate folder structure using the notebook/tag trees, and use separate exports for each emulated folder -
Delete duplicates
DTLow replied to Marc de Oliveira's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 6.25.1 and under)
I use the export feature for an html backup of my data; daily incremental and weekly full The data is completely functional, with a separate html file for each note The note also has a resources folder for attachments (native format) Why do you see this as a "complete mess" Alternatively, we can use Save Attachments feature to extract just the attachment files -
Delete duplicates
DTLow replied to Marc de Oliveira's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 6.25.1 and under)
Actually it's an automatic import folder; not folder synchronization I have "delete after import" enabled -
Table of Contents functionality suggestion
DTLow replied to Charles tauber's question in General Feature Requests
Like search intitle:"Table of Contents" Alternatively, we can apply a "Table of Contents" tag >>Also, it would be nice if notes that were included in a table of contents - or for that matter, had their note links included in other notes - were indicated in some way, so that one can see that a note is referenced in a table of contents - or other note - and identify to which table of contents it belongs. A third party solution was proposed here My solution is searching my html backup on my Mac The request has been posted at the note linked below -
Preview includes title of one note but contents of another
DTLow replied to DrFrankBuck's question in General Technical Issues
My guess is that the local database copy is corrupted Since you have a Premium account, as per @CalS open a support ticket at https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action I think the solution will be to delete your local database, and let it be rebuilt from the servers Warning: the rebuild doesn't include Local Notebooks or unsync'd notes -
Evernote works better if you create separate notes for each "thing" The "sublists" are a list of notes matching a criteria, like an "around the house" tag As separate notes, we can assign individual reminder dates >medications I'm still using Apple Reminders for these reminders. There's better notification alerts >I would also LOVE to have this ability. You're welcome to indicate your support using the vote button at the top left corner of the discussion. There's currently 28 votes imho Multiple note reminders is a no go because of the significant design changes

Do you need the features of tools like Notion/Rome Research? Personally, my needs are a tool that stores and organizes my notes/documents The simple note editor is appreciated; including the enml/html format The Tag paradigm works for organization, as well as text search Offline data storage is great, with the cloud as backup I make use of the client software (Mac and iPad), with web as backup Also note links, both internal and external Finally, my data is not locked in - it's easily exported

My process starts with a note for the event (this gets sync'd to my calendar) Add to the note contents - agenda, minutes, ... Add to the note title - hours So the note title is something like 2020-07-29-11:00 Event-ClientMeeting [aaaaaa] ?Client-aaaaaa Hours2.5 Tags: !Type-Event-ClientMeeting ?Client-aaaaaaa

I would verify the problem using the web platform (www.evernote.com) -
Why doesn't Evernote support the paperless life better?
DTLow replied to Stefan Timm's topic in Going Paperless
I'm familiar with the "file system" Generally, filenames are listed - the contents are not visible Evernote provides much better support for organization and retrieval -
Why doesn't Evernote support the paperless life better?
DTLow replied to Stefan Timm's topic in Going Paperless
At it's core, Evernote is a tool to store and organize notes/documents The documents are not restricted to pdfs; I have web pages, images, word processing, spreadsheets, ... My notes also include links to external information sources -
I'm a tagger, so my organization would use a tag for each client >>I started by creating a notebook titled clients ...so should I create a notebook for each client?? That could be a stack titled clients; with a notebook for each client Be aware of the notebook limit (100250) My concern with notebooks is the restriction of a single notebook per note >>that email address for my personal evernote is so i can foward my emails and then file them accordingly Using the web platform (www.evernote.com), I log into my account and settings > Email Notes to

No, the Evernote note data is not "live" It's a copy of the web page at the time the note was created Evernote copies attempts to store the web page code, and images
