  1. I guess you rely on your device security. I have an encrypted disk and strong device login. That feels perfectly secure so restarting Evernote without a full login also feels OK. My personal view is that security for my Evernote account is weakest via the web client. I do my best by adding 2FA but, of course, that adds an additional challenge if offline with the desktop apps.
  2. You'll have to search the Internet. Perhaps one of the file repositories such as FileHippo. But I suspect you may not have any success.
  3. If you fully sign out via the File menu in the desktop app then go offline, you cannot then sign in until you go back online. That process requires an Internet connection to check your credentials. Close Evernote with the black X in Windows or the red traffic light blob in Mac and everything should restart as normal offline with the exception that you'll get a warning that you are offline.
  4. Not a tune I've ever heard. Have you tried a complete uninstall, restart the phone and then reinstall?
  5. I can't advise further. It is no comfort to know things work differently for another user on a different device. Since it worked on your previous device and this is an issue with the new phone Is be exploring the issue from the Samsung end. Of course, if you have subscription you can raise a support ticket. That may take you to two weeks since support tickets are busy.
  6. My sounds from Evernote are a subtle ding. That seems to be something chosen by my device in the first instance. On my device: Settings, Apps, App Management, Evernote, Manage Notifications, Push Notifications.
  7. Perhaps @eric99 deleted his own post. Only posts that breach the Forum Code of Conduct are liable to removal. Even then warnings are usually given first.
  8. To get the Legacy software you'll need to use a service like FileHippo. The software isn't recommended any longer. The expectation is that it will be unusable sooner rather than later.
  9. You'll have to explore your favourite search engine. I found plenty of examples on the Internet. These forums are probably not the place to get general Amazon Fire Tablet support.
  10. If you're part of the Evernote Expert team then you can contact the Expert Community team who will certainly resolve the lack of Expert label for you.
  11. We know that there are no plans to offer a cheaper tier subscription at the moment.
  12. I would still add to the ticket. Of course you can raise things in the forums but many years of experience here tells me that it isn't generally the effective way of resolving individual issues that are beyond the experience of your fellow users. But of course continue here if you wish. He is and he was. I see no sign of it in this thread since 6 November but here's hoping he has seen your issue. I think he is mostly around to announce new releases. He doesn't seem to have announced any of the releases since this thread. We're now on 10.60.1. Fede's last post was to release 10 58.1.
  13. This is currently a trial affecting some users on the Free plan. If the trial becomes a permanent thing for all Free users then we'll know how it will work.
  14. If you want your idea noted it is good to also submit it to feedback@evernote.com I'm not sure that someone not understanding your post or challenging the suggestion makes them a spambot or AI. I thought @s2sailor was spot on so I misunderstood your idea too. It happens.
  15. Maybe he is or isn't. I wouldn't rely on that getting action.
  16. I think the UI will tweak how things look rather than what you can do. So if anything arrives it seems that it may only go a short way down the operations that will be improved.
  17. As we may have noted previously, these forums are almost entirely user-to-user support. We aren't Evernote nor are we Evernote Support. Occasionally you'll see a staff person around and their profiles are marked Staff. Otherwise you're talking to other users and we didn't do anything about the subscription. Your only option is to reopen your support ticket as I noted alongside another of your posts in a different thread. SInce you seem to think that the issue relates to the number of tasks you have, why not move all the completed tasks into a separate Task Archive note? That might speed up the writing of new tasks to the default task note. Probably the best way to achieve that with so many completed tasks is to duplicate the default note. Rename Archive Tasks or whatever then delete the open tasks from the Archive. Similarly go to the default task note and then delete the 700 completed tasks from the this note leaving just the open tasks. Thereafter, you could do some house keeping once in awhile moving the completed tasks to the archive. They will all appear in the task pull out wherever they are held and regardless of their status. If that fixes the saving speed then that will confirm your theory about the size of your task list being at the heart of that challenge. Of course if you don't need the completed tasks then you could simply delete the ones that are finished. But I can understand that some workflows benefit from a record of what has been done as well as what is awaiting.
  18. Nor for me on Android but perhaps my data takes less space. If you haven't had a reply to your ticket then reopen it at: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests Choose create a follow-up at the end of the ticket.
  19. Apart from what @PinkElephantsaid, you could try rebuilding your local data. I don't think that will resolve the notes that have been duplicated but might well resolve for the future
  20. Before undertaking this process you may wish to search for and read general advice about sideloading applications onto Android devices. This allows you to install apps that aren't available through the standard app store. For the Amazon Fire devices this is the Amazon Appstore. apkmirror.com is a repository of applications for Android devices. These files have the suffix apk and can be installed onto Android devices. Once you feel confident to install an apk file onto your device then within apkmirror search for Evernote and download the most recent apk onto your Fire device which MUST be running Android 9 or better. Then install the Evernote apk.
  21. Best to send your comments thoughts to feedback@evernote.com
  22. Good luck with your search. I'm not sure I can offer anything without more detail so I'm out ...
