  1. This is a trial. We have idea whether it will become permanent or not. You can complain that you signed up to a Free plan with advertised data and note limits. Perhaps they will take you off the trial. Or perhaps they will announce that the limits on Free accounts had been reduced.
  2. I understand the desire for decent, prompt technical support. I'm not sure that OneNote is the way to go off you need support. You'll be back on user to user forums.
  3. Yes. The instructions shown for Windows and Mac don't include a Web section. Perhaps the OP has misunderstood the options.
  4. Just yesterday I copied text and images from a note into Word and all seemed to go as intended. This was definitely different from my experience a few months ago. The note was very simple with only a small amount of text and two small images. I haven't given it a serious test. But it feels that there has been at least some progress since it was first reported two years ago. Until yesterday I saved notes as an HTML file and then opened in Word.
  5. If you have access on a separate computer then I think you might be able to recover the emergency codes. Access the Security section of your account settings.
  6. That's not my experience just now BUT... When I checked the Note History window was slightly shrunk. I dragged the right edge out a little and the old Restore link was revealed. I click that and the note was restored as ever. Evernote Windows 10.65.2 Windows 11 Pro
  7. Evernote, like many other applications, can launch multiple processes. I currently have nine Evernote processes running. Google Drive has seven processes and my Firefox web browser currently has 16. So nothing unusual with that. You'll have to show us the actual symbol that you have. What are you attempting drag and drop into a note? What file size does it have?
  8. If you have lost the emergency codes that were issued when you signed up for 2FA then your only hope is to work with tech support to undo everything although I don't know if that is possible. 2FA by SMS/Text has been withdrawn. This was announced some weeks ago. So your only option if you can regain access to your account is to disable 2FA completely. Otherwise you have to commit to use one of the many apps such as Authy, Google Authenticator etc. Of course, next time be sure to capture and save your emergency codes in case of a problem in the future. First stop will via the tech support team. Select the ACCOUNT option and explain your problem. Be prepared for a wait of up to 14 days for a response. Support seems to be overwhelmed at the moment.
  9. I think that it's very wise. Since it seems that your mobile device isn't syncing any action you take on that device is likely lose data.
  10. The support team is under significant pressure at the moment. Answers take 10-14 days. I presume you didn't keep the emergency codes in a safe and accessible place Also, you don't have access to the 2FA app on your old cell phone. Your only option is to wait for the support response. Without the emergency codes provided when you registered for 2FA you are stuck waiting for support.
  11. I'm not sure I'd consider this as an option. We cannot know what will happen when Legacy is finally withdrawn. I think I'm well known for extolling the virtues of the evernote-backup project on GitHub.
  12. I don't think so but I've never seen any discussion of this. I get my exports via a third party application. Perhaps they are also subtly different.
  13. The public API hasn't exposed any of the 'new' features in Evernote. I think we can expect that the API won't be updated until feature development is settled and the immediate stability and speed issues are resolved.
  14. Three years ago it was announced that the old versions of the software would not be supported any longer. Several months ago it was announced that the sync process with v10 was changing. A backend conversion was implemented to allow those using the Legacy app to work with the new sync data. Now the emphasis is on persuading users of the Legacy apps to switch. I think it is reasonable to infer that when use of Legacy drops sufficiently it will be withdrawn. Probably with a few weeks notice to give the diehards time to make a plan to switch or leave. My view is that it is time to make peace with the changes or, wisely, decide on an alternative. It is likely that any change will bring a hit to your workflow. The switch to v10 will have the least effort. Whatever you do, please make a plan for the day when Legacy stops.
  15. Uninstalling resets your data to match what Evernote had in the cloud. So provided everything has previously synced nothing should be lost.
  16. The Outlook add-ins have been largely unsupported for sometime. Microsoft have changed things more than once and Evernote hasn't been working to update things for several years. I fear that Outlook changes mean things will just stop working - at least in the short term. I doubt that the version of the add-in on the Microsoft AppSource will have changed recently. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005997-How-to-use-Evernote-for-Outlook
  17. That's the full price for the Professional product. Personal is €99.99. So you are not being offered the 40% discount. You'll need to find the link to the discounted rate. That may only apply to the Personal plan which should be €60 with a discount. The missing discount flash says you're in the wrong place for the deal. https://evernote.com/blog/evernote-pricing-upcoming-features-update
  18. @Raxet I just double checked. On my test notes with images AND text I can copy and then paste either just an image or an image plus the associated text from one note to another with Ctrl+C/V Currently v10.65.2 No crashes or freezes when attempting the copy and paste. In the past copying and pasting issues were able to be resolved by dragging to the desktop and then further dragging into a new note. But that's not necessary, for me, in the current versions. This is clearly an issue for you but not for everyone. Have you tried a clean rebuild of your app and data? I can't say that would work but it would be a quicker process than submitting a support ticket which is likely to be the only other route. Uninstall using Revo Uninstaller to get rid of any broken installation files. Reinstall the current version and log in. Your data will be rebuilt from the master copies in the cloud.
  19. Sticky Notes is/was a Microsoft add-on. Installed, if you don't have it, via the Microsoft Store. The Sticky Notes app syncs to an 365 account in the cloud. It isn't associated with Evernote so I think support will need to come via Microsoft support forum.
  20. The easiest is to go the File menu and choose Sign Out. Then choose to 'Remove my data from this device'. Sign back in and your data will be restored from the cloud in a rebuilt data set.
  21. Always wise. I think the biggest risk is that your backup is, say, five days old when used. You then restore your backup which is subsequently out of sync with what you have subsequently sent to the cloud. It would be interesting to know what happens if you have two copies of some notes. Ideally you'll see conflicting notes so you can choose which version to retain. Please let us know how you restore trial works out. A backup that cannot be restored is no backup at all so your experience may help inform others of us.
