  1. This is the way to work this BUT the space at the start of the line should work - and does for me and others. I have a keyboard shortcut set up which types <space>[]<space> I'm not sure that the big issue is for new lists with check boxes but for the way the EN v10 will auto-convert lists on notes from the past. This can be a major challenge for long-time users who made significant use of check boxes.
  2. So often in a rush and we miss or forget what we read by the time we start typing and the original post is off screen As I said, no intention to offend. This still feels like a hardware issue. Have you researched on the Logitech forums? I had a problem with my keyboard and mouse (not with Evernote) and the Logitech users pointed me to a known but little reported issue.
  3. There is a bug in the note merging function. If any of the notes contain a web clip then the note with the web clip will seem to disappear from the merged note. The original note disappears. This is a bug which has been reported but I've no idea if there is a resolution in sight. So, the merge function isn't entirely smooth. My experience is that notes with plain text and no containers will merge without problem. Since you are Basic user I can't suggest you log a ticket but that would be the route for Plus and Premium users. Perhaps the legacy application would be your best solution.
  4. These forums are primarily user-to-user support so, sadly, none of us can respond to your challenge to EN. I can point you in the direction that typically resolves this particular issue. Uninstall the program AND ensure you delete the data and program directories which you'll find at: %AppData%\Evenerote %LocalAppData%\Programs\Evernote Having removed the program entirely, reinstall and usually this will have fixed the issue. Alternatively, revert to the legacy version of the application and you should be good to go. If you want feedback to Evernote then the best options are the Help | Share Feedback menu or submit a support ticket. Both will give you, as a Premium user, access to staff. Feedback won't bring a response but a support ticket should get something back.
  5. If this is a key issue for your workflow then I'd suggest you revert to the legacy version of Evernote which provides everything you need until this issue gets the attention required in v10. Near the beginning of this thread I posted a proof of concept which I now use for all text I wish to have encrypted. It deals with the whole issue plus enabling text layout options, bullet points etc etc which we weren't able to encrypt in the legacy version.
  6. The ScanSnap Manager software has been updated and works just fine with Evernote 10. The current version for Windows is 7.1 L26 You can download it from - https://scansnap.fujitsu.com/global/dl/ Be careful to follow the links to the version 7 ScanSnap software. You will also need to manually add the Evernote 10 option to the scanning configuration.
  7. I'm not aware of any direct Email route to contact support. Have you tried creating a support ticket evernote.com/contact and follow the additional support options? I find the support team to be very responsive.
  8. I have a Logitech keyboard (K270) with a unifying receiver set up. No problems with this configuration. Without wishing to offend, have you tried rebooting your PC? THat's my usual first try with hardware issues.
  9. Yes, that works too. Effectively what I do but in reverse I wonder how these code snippets are generated in the first place? The example I mentioned earlier was a snippet that I typed in manually and I had no hard spaces in it. I should, perhaps, find some code that I clipped into Evernote from a web page. Perhaps it is the clipping process that is adding the had spaces.
  10. Yes, there are a couple of approaches (apart from dragging and dropping the file into Evernote 10). 1. @MikeP demonstrated a proof of concept using Dropbox and Zapier which created an equivalent of the Import Folder. It works well BUT the imported PDF does not automatically get deleted from the folder in Dropbox assigned. The files aren't imported multiple times bit it would probably be necessary to have a clear out once in awhile. 2. I created a SENDTO shortcut in Windows. I can right click on the PDF and choose SENDTO Evernote 10 and the PDF appears inside Evernote 10. This has two limitations. Firstly the imported PDF always goes to the default notebook. There is no means to SENDTO a different notebook. Also, for the last couple of releases of EN v10 the PDFs appear inside Evernote with their .pdf file suffix stripped. You can see the PDF content and work with it just fine but if you want to open and edit the PDF with an external program then you need to rename the attachment to include the .pdf (This is a Windows issue - I understand that Mac OS doesn't rely of file suffixes). Both of these are definitely temporary solutions. The better is to run the legacy program alongside Evernote 10 and Import folders work just as they always have. When the resolution is done and Import Folders are restored then that's the best solution.
  11. It will be no comfort to know that I NOT experiencing this issue as described. Right-click works every time. If I was suffering then I think I'd completely uninstall the application being sure to delete the data and program directories to give you a clean start. Another question/option... Which version of the desktop are you using? If using the Windows store app then download the standalone version from evernote.com and vice versa. Still delete the data and program directories to be sure. %AppData%\Evernote %LocalAppData%\Programs\Evernote
  12. Not really. It is a double click extra, but then the code is formatted exactly as required. The only thing it doesn't offer is the ability to look at the code on screen inside Evernote. As @gazumped says, it overcomes the more tedious issue that you are experiencing. All that said, I just copied some code from a code block I had in a note into a terminal window and it all executed perfectly. No problems. SO it seems that there may be more going on here than at first meets the eye.
  13. More haste - less speed on my mobile device... Sorry. What I was trying to say was: I embed an ASCII text file into the note containing the code
  14. I enbed an ASCII text file into the now containing the code
  15. Support tickets best submitted at https://www.evernote.com/contact and follow the option for additional support options...
  16. The release of v10.13 promised an improvement in the blank note issue. Sadly no improvement here and, worse, the apparent fix which generated a warning that the Window had frozen and offering a Restart option has disappeared too. So now I'm back to my daily close and manually restart process...
  17. I don't have this issue but if I did I'd completely uninstall AND delete the data and program directories to ensure nothing is left lurking. Then install the current version.
  18. Most users don't have v10.10 but I only have the Gboard interoperability issue in 10.9 and I'm hoping that will be fixed in 10.10 as you reported...
  19. The latest release v10.13 allows the export of a jote to HTML. From HTML you have the opportunity to print via a web browser. My view is that the legacy version is a less troublesome option but this is an option.
  20. The arrival of v10.13 has provided a workaround for the PDF creation issue. It is now possible to export a note as an HTML document. Open that in your favourite web browser and print to PDF. Long winded and definitely not a good user experience but is is a way around.
  21. It probably isn't going to change anytime soon. In V10 it seems that each note is processed individually rather than as a batch.
  22. @Eweforia You have identified a well known problem. The ability to print from EN v10 is entirely dysfunctional. Forget Print Preview, the actual printed output is rarely complete, text missing, lines of text split horizontally at the last line of a page. The legacy version should work just fine and provide the printing capbility you require until it is fixed in v10.
  23. @RussK Best to install the legacy version of the program and have that run alongside Evernote 10 or just use it instead of version 10. Installing the legacy version and checking that the import folders are correctly configured will clear up all the pending imports and keep running until v10 finally gets the promised function. For sure, we have all been waiting for months. Life has been too short to wait for the new feature so having legacy running alongside v10 has provided the best of both worlds.
