  1. Hi. If you go into Settings and Account Info on your Android you should have an option to upgrade...
  2. Hi - the important thing is to follow the advice in this thread and Evernote's email. If you changed and hardened your passwords, then no-one apart from you will have access to your notes in future. We've already said in this thread that it's impossible to know if there actually was any meaningful access - a automatic process may have been logging into accounts to find out which passwords actually work, so may have just connected for less than a second. But if you had any secret plans for World Domination in there, I'd change the dates if I were you...
  3. This feature request has an impressive level of support, but (AFAIK) hasn't been satisfied with the new editor released as part of the iOS app update in the last few days. However Evernote's CEO has been at pains to point out that the new editor has cleared the decks for more upgrades and updates in the future. The company is still working on updates for all the other OS's - Windows / Android / MacOS - so likely won't be considering this anytime soon, but they now have more freedom to include this and other features in the future. Meantime I use Workflowy, and will probably continue to do so even after Evernote add collapsible headings to their layout options. An add-in can never be as flexible as a stand-alone specialist app, and I'm very happy with Workflowy and its surprisingly effective options.
  4. So did you try that, and did it work? We're all users around here (mostly) and can only comment from general experience. If what we suggest doesn't work, you need to be talking to Support because you might have a situation that we've not encountered before. If a reinstall does work then we're all singing from the same sheet...
  5. Like I said - it's an issue that had been reported recently; there's a lot going on... Evernote will likely find and fix the problem soon.
  6. Hi. Generally Evernote is (for me) pretty good at clipping web pages - hopefully Support will help you find out why it's not so good for you...
  7. Hi. If you try any other letter character string - 'zzz' forinstance, does the same thing happen?
  8. Hi both - I'd suggest you raise your issues with Support (which we're not - mainly just us users here...). Evernote may not yet know about these issues but they will want to fix them...
  9. Hi. Part of the log you posted says Have you considered that maybe the web client is just not showing recent notes? That's an issue that has been reported here. Try rolling your web client to another version (option in web Settings) and check the notes again...
  10. Hi. See this page - https://support.cloudhq.net/how-to-backup-evernote-to-google-drive/
  11. ...but you still show here as a Basic user. Odd. Evernote did say they were 'updating' their billing system... maybe that wasn't a good idea...
  12. I use Typora too - and get around the visual issue by adding the content to the note as plain text (or an image in some cases), as well as the .MD file.
  13. Just install over the current application. The intention is to rebuild the correct files so that an update will work as expected.
  14. Possibly a good idea to raise that in the release thread - although I can't see that there is one yet...
  15. Hi - also: check your status here - View your purchase or billing history
  16. Hi. I have no current problem with the large widget - what exactly are you seeing that is incorrect? Can you supply screen shots? Have you tried restarting the app / the device?
  17. Catch up with the latest from Ian S about updates - they're working hard on current packages, so I'd imagine they'll concentrate on those until they're up to scratch. After that the world appears to be their lobster (or any other seafood of choice) and we might see something emerge. Meantime I'm writing this on Linux, using the (old) Web client for reference, which works well enough. As the updates continue, the new browser version may become more of a viable option.
  18. You can find the original 6.18 installation file here - https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/119899-evernote-for-windows-618-ga/
  19. Thanks for the explications folks. Guess I've lead a sheltered life 'til now...
  20. Hi. I'm still not sure I understand the situation here - if you have a clipped cutting on "quantum entanglement", a search via Evernote for Web, or the installed desktop client for that phrase will find that clipping fairly easily. I was actually slightly wrong in my previous reply too - Evernote can search your own account at the same time a general web search is going on - From Web Clipper Options, check or uncheck 'Show Evernote content related to my web searches' and Google, Bing & other search engines will show general search results alongside the search term(s) on your own notes. If you search the account separately and find your note, it should show the original ULR from which the note was clipped so you can go direct to that page if necessary. A note shared between notebooks is still safe behind Evernote's private accounts firewall, so is not visible to searches unless one of the account holders has publicly shared the note so that anyone with the URL will be able to access it. Even then it takes time for a web page to be indexed, and a single note could find itself ranked behind 999 other pages of search hits. Unless someone invests some time and effort into publicising the link it will remain effectively invisible for a long time...
  21. Hmnn. As well as 'to folder / Evernote'? If there are more direct options, don't see why you'd use email...
  22. Hmmn. It works for me... maybe that shortcut needs to be used so that the correct icon 'registers' with Windows. You could try uninstall / restart / reinstall to fix the issue, but if its no big deal, that seems an extreme response...
  23. Hi. No default fonts yet in the Web version, but you can change the font in the note (within limits) and 'paste as plain text' should match the style of your paste with the current note font.
  24. Hi. Which version of Windows? Basic Windows stuff. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Evernote\Evernote and find Evernote.exe. Right click and choose 'send to desktop' (create shortcut). If you then right click the new icon you may be able to 'pin to start' or drag and drop the shortcut elsewhere.
