Hi. If you're still using the original Android app, check Settings (see the three dots menu in Evernote) and Notifications. There's an option box there to 'add notes from notification bar'.

Is it possible for web clipper to save tooltips as well?
gazumped replied to Paladine's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hmmn. You could maybe save the web page to your own PC - ironically, as... another web page. See http://www.httrack.com/ for more on that. But given that the actual web page might be updated with more, or corrected information, it's probably better just to look at that when you need it! Good luck - if you manage to find something that suits your purpose, please come back and tell us about it! -
Request: Export options in Version 10 for HTML, Notebooks, Tags, Dates
gazumped replied to DTLow's question in General Feature Requests
Hi. The previous version of Evernote still exists with all its import and export features. You can install it alongside the new version and use both (though not at the same time). The new version will have more options as it is upgraded over the coming weeks. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote -
Hi. Short answer - No. A forum search for "today we released" will get you 2 pages of fairly random products releases and notes; a similar Google search (including "Evernote") got 11,000+ hits. There are some release comments in each post. Keyboard shortcuts will presumably be back when they've finished messing with the layout...

Actually I'm a very happy user of Workflowy (apologies in advance if you have to temporarily sign up to a free account to see that...) which - as you may be able to see - does a whole lot more than just outlines. It searches faster than Evernote too, and it's where, in [shock, horror] a hierarchical folder layout, I keep a load of boiler-plate Evernote comments and links. It's actually becoming the control panel from which I 'run' my Evernote account. One links seamlessly to the other, though they're not officially integrated. Workflowy for the quick lookups, and Evernote for the storage-in-depth. YM, as they say, MV. (Side note: I also have installed, and freely use Google Calendar, FreeMind, LibreOffice, Visio, Excel, Airtable and several other apps for their various special features. The dates and layout are in the independent apps. The details in each case are either attached to a Note or otherwise link back to Evernote.)

Is it possible for web clipper to save tooltips as well?
gazumped replied to Paladine's topic in Evernote General Discussions
If it's only one tooltip, then a screen shot of the open tip window could be saved in the same note as the clipped main page... -
Hi. I can verify that you are bounced to account settings from that link, and there is no 'points' option. I'd suggest you raise a support ticket - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new

Is it possible for web clipper to save tooltips as well?
gazumped replied to Paladine's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. Evernote will not save the tool tips. You'd have to find some software that can save the dozen or so additional tips that are accessed in the text - and I'm not sure how that software could distinguish the tool tips from the page links listed under 'contents' - you'd have to clip it all and have a very large file that takes a significant chunk out of your upload allowance. The easiest way to access all of this is to clip a bookmark and go to the original page. -
Hi If this page doesn't help, I can only suggest that you open a support ticket so that someone can do this manually for you. It does look as though the Google address is already registered against that account - presumably because you're using it as a login. Legacy is best, otherwise free plan locks you out of Evernote 10
gazumped replied to Tamagotchi's topic in Productivity
Thanks for noticing that Evernote stopped selling novelty goods several years ago... Like any company they're doing what they think is best for them. I don't currently agree with their strategy, but it was a gutsy move to throw out the old 12-year old coding and rewrite the product on a code base that will allow them to do much more in future. If that doesn't move them forward, they'll no doubt restructure and try again - if in the meantime anyone decides to use another product, that's up to the individual. Meantime we're up to the 8th iteration of the desktop apps and things are, say some people, getting better. Personally I don't care - I'm still using the previous public versions and haven't had any more hassles with Evernote than I'd normally expect in normal use. Which is to say I'm using tech. Glitches are all part of the package... -
Hi. Careful what you wish for. I'm also on 5.33 (50k+ notes) but was given a brief look at v10 through some Support magic. Some duplications, freezes and general chaos later I was very happy to get back to 5.33... When they can transfer you safely, they'll do so.

The question here was how to stop the older public versions of Evernote from upgrading to v10. If you're already there, it's probably better to keep updating for the next several months at least, to get the most recent bug fixes and 'new' features (the ones that were missed out at launch). As commented above - if you want to get back to the previous version, the quickest way would be to install the Legacy app, which co-exists with the new version, and will not upgrade itself. Note: Staying with the old public or Legacy versions is not a permanent solution. At some stage Evernote is going to put increasing pressure on us 'oldies' to convert to the new system. That hopefully will be some months down the line when the new version has achieved parity with the old one!

Hi. You're a subscriber, so for direct access to Support please report this here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new Glad you found the bits in the Trash - hope too much hard alcohol was not required. I assume you probably copy/ pasted the one content into the other, which might not be a bad plan of attack until you find out more about this...

Features Needed
gazumped replied to HeyHelpDeskGUy's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Hi. I'm not a help desk guy - this is a (mainly) user-supported forum. As a subscriber you have direct access to Support here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new As to the rest... There are several threads on this Forum dealing with 'phantom' access to the account - usually via your user name and password sourced from another account breach online. If Evernote is given the right credentials for access it doesn't have any way to trace that you're not elsewhere in the world. There are several ways to protect yourself - check for breaches here: https://sec.hpi.de/ilc/?lang=en or https://haveibeenpwned.com/ or https://cybernews.com/personal-data-leak-check/ and https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004395487-What-to-do-if-you-suspect-unauthorized-access-to-your-Evernote-account -
Hi. First, please edit your post (see the three dots menu) to remove your user name from this public forum. If you check the web page at Evernote.com you'll find a 'forgot password' option where you can ask for that to be re-notified to you. It will be sent to whatever email address you used to create the account, so as long as you didn't make the address up, you should be fine. If that doesn't work, your only hope is Evernote Support (which we're not..) so try the following... https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new (if you're a subscriber) https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (anyone) https://www.facebook.com/groups/evernotecommunity (anyone)
